Abstract

This study aims to find out; 1) the difference effect between Inquiry and Direct Intruction learning models toward learning achievement of history, 2) the difference effect between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from high learning independence, 3) the difference effect between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from low learning independence 4) the interaction effect between the model of learning and learning independence in learning of achievement of history.This study use a quantitative approach to experiment with factorial design 2 x 2. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Kroya, Cilacap District, Central Java. The sampling technique used is the technique of simple random sampling, in this study the sample were students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kroya. Data were collected by means of is test and questionnaires. Those data were analyzed  with Two way Anava test with different content of cel, followed with multiplr comparison of Scheffe method with level of significance 0,05. Before analysis, Validity test conducted by Product Moment Correlation, reliability using Cronbach?s Alpha and KR 20 test for normality and homogenity test.The result of hypothesis show that (1) there were  significance between Inquiry and Direct Intruction learning model toward learning achievement (Fhitung> Ftabel or 40.723>3.16). (2) the were significance between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from high learning independence (sig 0.000<0.05). (3) there were significance between Inquiry land Direct instruction toward learning achievement history viewed from low learning independence (sig.0.006<0.05). (4) there was no effect interaction between teaching with the independence learning towards their achievement of history (sig. 0,533 >0,05).

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) find out the description of (a) principal's leadership,(b) work ethos, (c) perception on the teacher's teaching capability, and (d) quality ofElementary School; (2) develop and examine the effect of principal's leadership, workethos, perception of the teacher's teaching capability directly or indirectly on educationquality. This research was conducted at the elementary schools in Surakarta from Marchto September 2004. The research method employed was a descriptive correlation methodthat is expost facto in nature. The population was the principals of elementary schoolsthroughout Surakarta city. 37 respondents were selected as the sample using clusterrandom sampling technique. The instrument of data collection employed was questionnairewith Likert scale for dependent variable: education quality (Y); independentvariable: principal's leadership (X1), work ethos (X2); and mediating variable: perceptionof the teacher's teaching capability (X3). Technique of analyzing data employed wasstatistic technique with correlation regression and path analysis. From the result ofresearch, it can be concluded that: (1) the principal's leadership, work ethos, perceptionon the teacher's teaching capability, and education quality (elementary school) have apositive and significant relation; (2) there is a direct positive significant effect of principal'sleadership factor on the quality of education with effective contribution 26.57%;(3) there is a direct positive significant effect of principal's work ethos factor on thequality of education with effective contribution 24.68%; and (4) there is a direct positivesignificant effect of principal's perception of the teacher's teaching capability factor onthe quality of education with effective contribution 24.57%.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to find out the difference effect between Jigsaw and “Make a Match” learning models toward learning achievement of History; The difference effect between high learning creativity and low learning creativity to the learning achievement of History; The interactioneffect between the model of learning and learningcreativity in learning achievement of History.Methods: This study uses a quantitative approach to experiment with factorial design 2 x 2. The population in this study were all students of Class XI SMA Sambas District, West Kalimantan Province in the academic year 2015/2016. The sampling technique used is the technique of multi-stage cluster random sampling. In this study, the sample were students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Sambas Tebas. Data collection techniques used is tests and questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Two Line. Before analysis, validity test conducted by Product Moment correlation, reliability using Cronbach's alpha and KR 20 test for normality and homogeneity test.Results: There are differences in learning achievement between students who learn history by using Jigsaw learning models and Make a Matchmodels. Make a Match learning model generating learning achievement is better than the Jigsaw learning model, and there are differences in academic achievement between students who have high and low creativityof learning history. Students with high creativity better learning achievement compared to the low learning creativity, and there is no interaction effect between teaching model with the creativity of the students' learning achievementof history.Conclusion: There is a difference effectsbetween the learning model of Jigsaw and Make a Match with Learning creativity, and there is no interaction between the model of learning by learning creativity toward student learning achievement history.

Abstract

The objectives of research were (1) to find out the different effects of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and Jigsaw types of cooperative learning use on the historical learning achievement of students, (2) to find out whether or not historical learning motivation affects the historical learning achievement of students, and (3) to find out whether or not there is a positive effect of interaction between Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and Jigsaw types of cooperative learning model, and learning motivation on the learning achievement of students. If there is so, which type has better effect?This study employed quantitative method with a 2x3 factorial design. The population of research was the 10th graders of Senior High Schools existing in Sukoharjo in the even semester in the school year of 2015/2016. The sampling technique used in this research was Cluster Sampling (Area Sampling). The sample of research consisted of SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura with 36 students and SMA Negeri Mojolaban with 33 students. The techniques of collecting data used were test and questionnaire. Data analysis in this research employed a two-way anava with SPSS 20 program help.  The results of hypothesis testing in this research were shown as follows. (1) There was a difference of effect on the learning achievement between the students treated with Numbered Heads Together and those treated with Jigsaw types of learning model. The result of data analysis showed that the students treated with Numbered Heads Together had better learning achievement than those treated with Jigsaw learning model. (2) There was a difference of effect between the students with high, medium, and low learning motivations. The students with high learning motivation had better learning achievement than those with medium one, and those with medium learning motivation had better learning achievement than those with low one. (3) There was no interaction effect between learning model and learning motivation on the historical learning achievement. The students with high learning motivation treated with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model had better learning achievement than those high learning motivation treated with Jigsaw learning model. The students with medium learning motivation treated with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model had better learning achievement than those medium learning motivation treated with Jigsaw learning model, and the students with low learning motivation treated with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model had better learning achievement than those low learning motivation treated with Jigsaw learning model.

Abstract

Learning media have an important functions in learning process, especially on historical subject.  As a given of instructional media information could be help teachers overcome the problem of material that was difficult to explain verbally. Therefore, in this study of developed historical of instructional media that could be to increase a variety of media as well as supported the activities of historical teachers in the classroom. These products of this development are graphic media like a comic book. The historical of the comic media based on Raden Intan I struggle to increase the values of nationalism students’. This research aimed to find out: (1) to know using media on historical subject at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya; (2) to know process of development comic instructional media based  Raden Intan I struggle at SMA N 1 Tanjung Raya; (3) to determine the effectiveness of using comic media historical based on Raden Intan I struggle to increase students’ nationalism. Methods: this study was a research and development one referring to Research and Development  method (R&D) by using Borg and Gorl, and Sugiyono.  This hypothetical model adopted Molenda’s ADDIE model, the procedure of this research are, preliminary studies, the development of instructional media, and test the effectiveness of instructional media. Analysis of feasibility test using Likert scale with 5 ranges and effectiveness test of instructional media using t-test.Conclusion: based on the result of pretest and posttest experimental class, it could be found that 8.569 at significance level of 0.000>0.05, therefore could be said that any influence toward of using media. Effectiveness of nationalism the results using t test, which means that the value of 4.257 at significance of 0.000>0.05. It meant that the result of experiment class before and after treatment had unequal. Such the historical of comic based on struggle Raden Intan I on instructional media have more effective for improving students’ achievement and nationalism. Based on the results that show the experimental class have better than control class.

Abstract

This research is a need analysis in nature by developing finding, yielding, and improving a History learning media as well as testing the effectiveness of the product so that it becomes more effective, efficient, meaningful, and up to date. The product expected is a History learning module based on the temple sites in Central Java, namely: Ngawen temple, Mendut temple, Selogriyo temple, and Candi Asu Sengi temple, which is packed in an Interactive Media to improve the students’ learning result and historical variety awareness.This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method. Its procedure included (1) preliminary research, (2) learning media development, (3) learning media implementation, and (4) learning media (developed product) testing. The subjects of research were the students in Grade X of State Islamic Senior Secondary School of Magelang City, and the objects of research were the students’ learning result and cultural diversity awareness. The development of the interactive learning media based on the temple sites in Central Java is tested with validity testing by learning material expert and learning media expert, one by one testing, and field testing. Each has the average score of greater than 4, meaning that the developed learning media is good and feasible to be used as a research instrument. The result of the effectiveness testing shows that the learning result of the students instructed with the interactive learning media based on the temple sites in Central Java is better than that of the students instructed with the students’ Worksheet as indicated by the result of the Wilcoxon test where both the experimental group and the control group have the p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Thus, there is a significant difference between the experimental group’s score difference (17.5 ± 9.806) and control group’s score difference (7.67 ± 8.412); the former is greater than the latter.

Abstract

Research class action aims to understand how the model the problem based learning (PBL) in learning social science by visualization Gula Gondang Winangun museum to improve critical thinking in Junior High School 1 Surakarta grade VII 2013/2014. The method of this research is a descriptive qualitative research results from the class in the form of treatment with the subject of the research is grade VIII H totalling 26 students, comprising 10 men and 16 women. Research data obtained from the observation of learning activities, the informant, documents and photographs of the value of the activities. Minimal standards pass social science class VII 8,0 with Minimal standards klasikal 85%. After treatment for 3 cycle increased results achieved is the value of tests the ability of think critically in cycle I: 63.38 %, cycles II: 80.76 % and cycle III: 92.30 % worth average cycle I: 76.92 , cycles III: 80.72 and cycle III: 85.0.The value of the capacity to critical thinking in discussion on the cycle I: 73.07 %, cycles II: 81.25 %, cycles III: 87.5 %. The average value of students I: 77.31 cycle , cycle II: 80.38, cycleIII : 84.81. Minimal standards pass  in cycles I: 69.23%, cycles II: 79.92% and cycles I: 88.4%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of the potential of the cultural heritage site of the old town of Tegal as a medium of learning history so that it can increase the motivation of learning history and enhance appreciation of the students. This media can also be guidelines for the protection and preservation of cultural heritage objects at the site of the old town of Tegal. Research method used is the method of research development or Research and Development adapted & modified Borg & Gall. With the instructional design model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) of Molenda. The subject of research as much as 22 students of Class XI Social Science Senior High School 3 Tegal as controls and classes of 30 students of Class XI XI Social Science Senior High School 3 Tegal as class experiments. Data collection techniques using question form and achievement test. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and test t test. Based on the analysis of the effectiveness of the test, the results of the post test experimental classes (media developed) higher than the class of the control (conventional). Based on the T-test test earned t 2.1 > 1.88 = conclusion can be drawn then H0 is rejected, meaning both groups have an attitude of appreciation are not the same. There is a difference of attitude scale self-test results on post test experimental classes and controls that prove that media-based learning, visualization of the site of the old town of Tegal is effective to increase the apreasiasi of cultural heritage.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of teaching media that can be realized in practice. In teaching and learning process, educators are obligated to develop teaching materials and supporting media as a learning tool. This is done in order to help learners to understand in receiving the lessons. As well as local history-based instructional media documentary film which is developed, by utilizing information technology, to facilitate educators deliver teaching materials and to help learners understanding the material which is received.The research method used is Research & Development (R & D) were adapted and modified by Borg & Gall. The step of the research include: (1) preliminary study (pro-survey), (2) development of the media, (3) Testing the effectiveness of the media. Testing  the effectiveness of the product is done by using experimental methods at STKIP-PGRI Pontianak, the researcher chose history education study program at the fifth the semester. The experimental study used two classes; those are A afternoon class as control group and B afternoon class as experimental group.The results obtained from the test of hypothesis of independent sample t test, p value = 0.020 (p <0.05) H0 is rejected, so there is a difference between the control and experimental class. It can be concluded that the history teaching medium with documentary films developed give significant influence on the student’ tolerance in the history study program at STKIP -PGRI Pontianak.
