Abstract

The purpose of this community service was to train students of Mechanical Engineering Program University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak in using MATHCAD software. This training aims to support the courses of Basic Calculus, Advanced Calculus, Basic Engineering Mathematics,  Advanced Engineering Mathematics and to improve the ability of Mechanical Engineering students about software MATHCAD. The program included preparation, training, and reporting. As the program ended, understanding of training participants in using this software is able to apply independently by direct practice with MATHCAD software properly.Keywords: engineering, MATHCAD, mathematics, software, training

Abstract

In this research, boiler feed water pump at PLTU PT.ICA has a flow rate capacity of 85 m3 / h which is installed sporadically with a motor to drive the pump. This pump has an important role and the main pump for filling feed water from dearator into the steam drum (boler) which is always used for 2 years with varying flow rates.  Data needed for evaluation include pressure and temperature of the suction, pressure and temperature of the discharge, flow rate and electric current. The data were taken starting in January to Maret 2019. Data processing was performed using a centrifugal pump calculations includes head, water horse power  (whp), brake horse power (bhp) and efficiency presented in tables and graphs using Microsoft Excel. Boiler feed water pump sulzer during operations 3 months amounted the highest head amounted 1212,23 m, the highest whp amounted 223,25 kw, the highest bhp amounted 237,21 kw and the highest efficiency amounted 95,67 %, while the lowest head amounted 928,53 m, the lowest whp amounted 72,68 kw, the lowes bhp amounted 197,14 kw and thelowest efficiency amounted 36,85 %. Change of performance bfp occur due to changes flow rate and pressure suction which adjust operational needs.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a diesel oil transfer device using a pump as a learning medium as well as a practical pump course for students of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak. This design needs to be made as an effort to stimulate learning motivation, improve students' understanding and thinking skills in pumping courses. The research stages are carried out by designing the design and manufacture or assembling of the diesel oil transfer device into a unified whole, as well as testing the tool so that it can be used for learning media and practicum. Data collection and retrieval is adjusted to the test instrument instrument. The result of this research is a learning and practical media tool to test the characteristics of diesel oil centrifugal pumps. This oil transfer device can operate properly and has met the standards of the pump used. This media can be used as a lecturer to facilitate the learning process for pump courses. In addition, this tool is worthy of being used as a practicum tool for centrifugal pump performance specifically for diesel oil pumps.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra kelompok pembudidaya ikan lele Mina Sari Desa Rasau Jaya Tiga Kabupaten Kubu Raya melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna pembuatan alat berupa mesin pencetak pakan ikan lele (pelet) untuk dapat mempermudah proses produksi pakan bagi mitra dan pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri sehingga hasil produksinya meningkat serta mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pakan ikan (pelet) dari pabrik.Metode yang paling cocok dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) dengan melibatkan peran aktif masyarakat terutama kelompok masyarakat dan pemangku kepentingan terkait (dalam hal ini kelompok Mina sari). Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah terealisasinya Teknologi Tepat Guna Mesin Pelet (TTG) sederhana dengan kemampuan mencetak pelet sebanyak 18 kg/jam. Kelompok pembudidaya ikan lele Mina Sari dapat memahami cara membuat pakan ikan buatan sendiri hasil dari pelatihan. Selain itu mitra pengabdian mampu mengoperasikan mesin pelet dengan baik.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih Mitra membuat dua kolam terpal masing-masing kelompok mitra dengan panjang 400 cm, lebar 300 cm dan tinggi 100 cm. Kemudian panjang 200 cm, lembar 150 cm dan tinggi 100 cm.  Metode kegiatan yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan dalam bentuk diskusi yang terarah dan disertai dengan demontrasi atau praktek secara langsung dalam pembuatan kolam  terpal. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 3 (tiga) kelompok Mitra secara aktif mulai dari kegiatan persiapan alat dan bahan, pemotongan bahan, pembuatan rangka, pembentukan terpal, dan perakitan kolam terpal. Melalui kegiatan tersebut, kelompok Mitra berhasil membuat dua unit kolam terpal masing-masing kelompok yang siap digunakan untuk produksi usaha budidaya ikan air tawar.implementation of PKM activities is good communication and smoothly between PKM team and partners.

Crucible stove can be used both in experiment classes and in researches. The program included preparation, instrument manufacturing, training, and reporting. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak  ini bertujuan  memotivasi  masyarakat dusun Sidomulyo RT/RW.06/08 desa Limbung Keicamatan Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya tentang pentingnya inovasi untuk menumbuhkan perekonomian masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan lahan yang kosong sebagai media dalam membudidayakan ikan lele baik  untuk konsumsi sendiri maupun menambah penghasilan mereka disaat kondisi  COVID-19 yang belum ada kejelasan kapan akan berakhirnya sehingga secara signifikan akan mempunyai pengaruh yang lama bagi kehidupan masyarakat saat ini terutama jika ditinjau dari segi kesehatan dan ekonomi. Kegiatan ini  menggunakan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Di metode PRA ini, diharapkan partisipasi dan peran aktif  masyarakat  desa Limbung  serta perangkat desa terkait untuk mendapatkan persamaan persepsi, mendapatkan ide-ide baru dari berbagai sumber, dan langkah-langkah yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di masyarakat serta pengambilan keputusan bersama.   Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah terealisasinya program sains dan teknik berupa pembuatan kolam ikan dengan menggunakan terpal dan budidaya ikan melalui ember (budikdamber). Selain hasil tersebut juga meningkatnya pemahaman, perubahan pola pikir dan cara pandang masyarakat dusun Sidomulyo dalam  memanfaatkan lahan kosong disekitar rumah mereka.Secara signifikan  masyarakat dusun Sidomulyo memahami dan mampu mengaplikasikan secara mandiri serta praktek langsung  dengan benar bagaimana membuat kolam terpal dan budikdamber

Abstract

Abstract

Implementation of learning in engineering actually can not only through the theory in the classroom. Therefore, a good learning in the field of engineering is to add lab-based learning by improving laboratory facilities and infrastructure equipment, one of which is a fluid mechanics lab equipment. Current issues that especially the Faculty of Engineering Mechanical Engineering Study Program has not had a particularly fluid mechanics lab equipment for centrifugal pumps. Almost 75% of the world uses this equipment centrifugal pump. Therefore it is necessary to develop a model of learning media in the form of fluid mechanics lab equipment better is to develop instructional media lab equipment such as fluid mechanics models of centrifugal pumps. Research methodology using pure experimental design (true experimental research) conducted in the study were: Preparation and preparation of raw materials, reverse model lab equipment centrifugal pumps, testing tools and the use of tools for mechanics fluida. Research result, lab equipment that models these centrifugal pumps can be used for testing the characteristics of pumps in single, series and parallel. Keywords: centrifugal pumps, models, lab, serial, parallel ABSTRAKPelaksanaan pembelajaran di bidang teknik sebenarnya tidak bisa hanya melalui teori di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran yang baik di bidang keteknikan adalah menambah pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium dengan meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana peralatan laboratorium, salah satunya adalah peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida. Permasalahan saat ini bahwa terutama Fakultas Teknik Program Studi Teknik Mesin belum memiliki peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida terutama untuk pompa sentrifugal. Hampir 75% masyarakat dunia menggunakan peralatan pompa sentrifugal ini. Oleh sebab itu perlu dikembangkan sebuah model media pembelajaran berupa peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida  yang lebih baik yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa model peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida  pompa sentrifugal. Metodelogi penelitian menggunakan design eksperimen murni (true experimental research) yang dilakukan dalam penelitian  adalah:preparasi dan persiapan bahan baku,  merekayasa model peralatan praktikum pompa sentrifugal,pengujian alat dan  penggunaan alat untuk praktikum mekanika fluida.Hasil penelitian, bahwa model peralatan praktikum pompa sentrifugal ini dapat digunakan untuk pengujian karakteristik pompa secara tunggal,seri dan paralel. Kata kunci: pompa sentrifugal, model, praktikum,seri,paralel
