Abstract

Infectious diseases are still a major disease in many developing countries, includingIndonesia. Infectious diseases in Indonesia that affects many infants are AcuteRespiratory Infection (ARI). In the Indonesian case acute respiratory tract infection (ARI )station is the first cause of infant deaths in each year . In addition ISPA also often be onthe list of 10 most diseases in hospitals . Factors that influence the occurrence of ARI ininfants include: nutritional status, age, breastfeeding, vitamin A supplementation irregular,incomplete immunization, air population, density of housing, socio-economic andeducational levels. Research purposes to determine what factors are associated with theincidence of ARI in the Puskesmas Paniki Bawah Mapanget District .This research uses a form of observational analytic study with descriptive statisticaltechniques. Data analysis was done by descriptive statistics and frequency distributiontables and narrated as well as statistical analysis. To examine the relationship betweenvariables Chi - Square test and Fisher 's Exact test alternative to using the softwareprogram for Social Statistics Programme Sciense (SPSS). Results of this study showedthat exclusive breastfeeding factors have a relationship with the incidence of respiratorydisease in young children, it is because the immune milk given by not properly fulfilled soeasily toddlers up to disease. For other factors that are not observed a significantrelationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Given it isexpected that the government and local health officials to improve the coverage ofexclusive breastfeeding to provide information about the benefits of exclusivebreastfeeding for the child so that the mother can understand and provide exclusivebreast milk for her child.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional Care in hospital nutrition services that are tailored to the patientand the clinical situation, nutritional status, and metabolic status of the body. Nutritional stateof the patient is very influential in the healing process, and vice versa course of the diseaseprocess can affect the nutritional state of the patient. Common condition of the client / patientis getting worse because it does not consider the state of nutrition. Various surveys in thehospital and the incident proved foreign hospital malnutrition due to improper nutritionservices and a risk factor.Objective: To determine the nutritional status and dietary food administration in hospitalizedpatients in the department of Prof. Dr. BLU. RD Kandou ManadoMethods: The study was a descriptive cross-sectional observational approach. Thepopulation is all class III patients hospitalized and received food diet. Sample was treatedpatients care class III as much as 95 class, defined by consecutive sampling. Processingand data analysis begins with the editing, coding and then analyzed using SPSS.The results: The level of patient satisfaction on the implementation of the RS diet foodsaverage is 84.9%, the officer friendly attitude 1.4%, 65.2% manners, personal hygiene33.4%. The average intake of nutrients; energy 1775.0kal ± 336.7, 23.9 ± 62.0gr protein, fatand carbohydrates 50.1gr ± 10.6 ± 41.1.Rata 284.2gr average rank of the adequacy ofenergy; 84.6% ± 14.1, 78.2% ± 13.8 protein, fat 12.5 ± 81.3%, carbohydrate 87.5% ± 10.5.Sufficient levels of nutrients in common: energy 13.5 ± 80.4%, protein 78.6% ± 13.8, fat81.3% ± 12.5, carbohydrate 87.5% ± 10.5, average adequacy rate is good (> 80%), ie 75.8%of energy, protein 36.8%, 84.2% fat and 69.2% carbohydrate. The majority of patients(65.3%) and underweight (23.2).

Abstract

Background :Rosella than as ornamental flowers have benefits for human health , because thecontent of vitamin contained therein. Currently , rosella used as herbs and can be processed intofood , one of which in the form of marmalade. To obtain a marmalade rosella quality both in terms ofvitamins, quality, organoleptic (taste, color, texture and flavor), physical quality ( viscosity and totalsolids ) and chemical quality ( moisture content and pH ) it is necessary to increase the sugarcomposition right .Research Purpose :To determine the level of joy and good quality marmalade red rosella flower withvarying sugar concentrations ( 7.5 % , 10 % , 12.5 % ) .Types of research:This type of research is a quasi experimental study with factorial design . Thedraft for the research carried out 3 times a treatment that 7.5 % of samples ( X1 ) , 10 % ( X2 ) , 12.5% ( X3 ) marmalade red rosella flower is seen in terms of water content, viscosity, total solids and pH. Organoleptic assessment includes an assessment of flavor, color, texture and flavor using ahedonic scale. And then performed the data analysis by t-test .Research result:The content of vitamin C marmalade red rosella flower with a sugar concentration of7.5 % ( X1) is 35.38 mg , 10 % sugar concentration ( X2 ) is 9.94 mg and 12.5 % sugar concentration( X3 ) is 9.68 mg , Good chemical quality of the water content of 46.2 % and a pH of 3.2 to 12.5 %sugar concentration ( X3 ) . Good physical quality CP viscosity of 0.59 and a total solidsconcentration of 59 % to 12.5 % sugar ( X3 ) . Organoleptic quality in terms of both taste and color ofthe sugar concentration of 12.5 % ( X3 ) in terms of texture and flavor sugar concentration of 7.5 %(X1 )

Abstract

Malnutrition is a condition in which the body experiences an interruption in the use ofnutrients for growth, development and activity. Malnutrition can be caused by a lack offood intake or disrupted absorption, digestion and utilization of nutrients in the body. Thegeneral objective of this study is a healthy high-protein formula socialize, Fe and betacarotene in order to fulfill the needs of Fe and Vitamin A primary school children. Thistype of research is quasy pre and post test experiment one group design. This studydescribes the differences in body weight, nutritional status, intake of energy, protein,vitamin A and Fe in primary school students before and after the intervention. Theexperiment was conducted in the District Mapanget Manado City in May s / d November2015. The sample was determined based on the formula Estimating the differencebetween two population proportion of 81 samples. Data include sample characteristics,anthropometric and nutrient intake. Processing and analysis of univariate data todetermine the distribution and characteristics of the sample. Bivariate analysis using adifferent test to determine differences in body weight, nutritional status, intake of energy,protein, vitamins and Fe before and after the intervention. Interpretation of the datapresented in tables, charts and discussion.The results showed no significant difference between the weight before and after theintervention, where there is a weight gain of 0.40 kg, there is a very significant differencebetween energy intake before and after the intervention, where an increase in the intakeof 230.55 Calories, there are differences significant between protein intake before andafter the intervention, where an increase in protein intake of 9.96 g, there is a verysignificant difference between the intake of vitamin A before and after the intervention,where an increase in vitamin A intake amounted to 202.95 RE, there are very significantdifferences between the intake of Fe before and after the intervention, where an increasein the intake of Fe at 1:02 mg, and there are significant differences between the IMT / Ubefore and after the intervention, with an increase in BMI / U at 0.320.

Abstract

Backround. The organization of food especially in hospitals must be optimal, in accordance with the quality of health service standard and patient disease indication. The cause of misbehavior regarding hygiene and sanitation is due to low knowledge or ignorance of things that food handlers should be aware of in order to obtain healthy food. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of knowledge and behavior of food safety implementation of food handler on food processing before and after intervention in hospital in Bolaang Mongondow Raya. Method.The type of research used is Quasi Eksperimen with pretest and posttest design. The research subjects were taken by total sampling totaling 31 people. The study was conducted from July to September 2017 at Bolaang Mongondow Raya Hospital. The knowledge data was collected using questionnaires and behavior data using the check list form. The statistical test used was T-test, at 95% confidence level and significance limit of p <0,05. Result. The results showed that the average value of knowledge before the intervention was 70.53. Knowledge achievements after the intervention averaged 84.73. The magnitude of the increase in the value of knowledge is 14.2. The average value of the behavior before the intervention is 80.32. The average value after the intervention was 89.68. The magnitude of the increase in the value of behavior is 9.36. Conclusions. There are differences in knowledge of food handlers before and after the intervention. There are differences in the behavior of food handlers before and after the intervention.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the body can not produce enough insulin or can not effectively use, Control and treatment of diabetes mellitus include blood sugar control, HbA1c levels, and good nutritional behavior. Control and processing is essential for diabetics, the importance of knowledge, understanding, and information for influential disease management in disease control and treatment, in this study knowledge, understanding, and information obtained through nutritional counseling. This study aims to determine differences in nutritional behavior, blood sugar levels and levels of HbA1c before and after counseling on an outpatient diabetic from RSUP Prof Dr R.D Kandou Manado. The type of research used is quasi experimental research. According to Saryono (2011), the design of this type of research uses only one subject group, the measurement is done before and after the treatment. The difference of the two measurement results is considered as the treatment effect, the sample size is 30 people, the measurement of blood glucose and HbA1c using the result of the laboratory examination conducted by the hospital and the nutritional behavior is measured by the research questionnaire. The result of this research concluded that there is influence of nutritional counseling to blood sugar level with p value 0.000 (p <0.05), there is influence of nutrition counseling to HbA1c with p value 0.000 (p <0.05), and there is influence of nutrition counseling to nutrient behavior with p value 0.000 (p <0.05).

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is very influential on the quality of human resources and has a significant impact on health costs. This diabetes mellitus cannot heal but can only be controlled. Patients with diabetes mellitus are not able to produce enough insulin or do not use it effectively so that there is excess glucose in the blood. One of the factors that triggers glucose is an unhealthy diet such as rarely consuming fiber, as well as consuming micronutrients, including magnesium. The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of fiber and magnesium intake with fasting blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Pancaran Kasih General Hospital GMIM Manado. This research method using cross sectional design by purposive sampling. Data collection about the intake of fiber and magnesium using the 24-hour recall and the results of the examination of fasting blood glucose levels were taken through the medical record of the patient. Analyst data using logistic regression analysis. Based on data analysis using Fisher's Exact Test, showed P value = <0.05 / P = 0.013 means that there is a relationship between fiber intake and fasting blood glucose levels. While the results of data analysis using Fisher's Exact Test, showed P value => 0.05 / P = 0.61, meaning that there was no correlation between magnesium intake and fasting blood glucose levels. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between fiber intake and blood glucose levels. There is no relationship between magnesium intake and fasting blood glucose levels.
