Abstract

Studio Songket Sumatra Loom able to revitalize songket songket-old, and capable of producing quality songket, also has its own characteristic songket, both in terms of yarn, color, pattern and shape of the resulting product. The purpose of this research is to describe the history of songket, yarn types, colors, patterns, and shapes of products in Studio Songket Sumatra Loom. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Collecting data using primary and secondary sources. The data analysis is done by using interactive analysis relating to the subject matter that is the data reduction, data display, and conclusion end. Results of the research: History Loom Studio Songket Sumatra, Sumatra leader Loom is Bernhard Bart. Bernhard was interested in the motives and complexity songket making techniques and finally Bernhard decided to open Studio Songket in 2005 which was formerly Erika Rianti, in 2013 the name changed to the name Loom Studio Songket Sumatra. Type of yarn used is silk threads and yarns macau (gold and silver) .warna used yellow gold, silver, red, black, pink, blue, purple, brown, green, orange, and gray. Has 22 motifs that resemble plants, animals, geometric shapes and custom words. The shape of the resulting product is complete the form salendang custom clothing, gloves, belts, sisamping, deta, dalamak and souvenirs in the form of wall hangings.Kata kunci: studi kasus, kain songket, ampek angkek

Abstract

The aim this study is to describe of students’ perceptions about the quality of the sewing machines in terms of their damage and maintenance for worskshop in fashion boutiques laboratorium of SMKN 8 Padang. The typr of this research is quantitative descriptive, with 25% population from each local of dressmaking class at SMKN 8 Padang. Amount of sample total are 30 students. Taking sample used random sampling technique, mixed sample. The data processing was done by specifying and categorizing the percentage of observed items. The results of this study indicated that students’ prceptions about the quality of sewing machines reviewed from their damage is in the low category (59%) and the maintenance is in th good enough category (77,16%). For that reason, need to inprove the quality of sewing machines and their maintenance in order quality of them can support pactice learning at the clothing boutique of dressmaking programs at SMKN 8 Padang.Kata Kunci: Persepsi Siswa Tentang Kualitas Mesin Jahit

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Productive KKM dressmaking courses in SMKN 1 Gumanti Valley, in terms of the criteria for determining the KKM intake (student ability), complexity (difficulty level indicator), and carrying capacity. This research is qualitative research. Subject and informant research is Professor Earning dressmaking, amounting to 5 (five) people. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Data processing techniques are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate the general implementation of the Productive subjects KKM dressmaking, where teachers are still having difficulty, namely the intake criteria (student ability), On the criteria of complexity where teachers are difficult to adjust the complexity of the material with the ability of students. As well as carrying on the criteria, lack of educational infrastructure that supports the learning process, and the number of teachers earning dressmaking that do not meet the ideal standards.

Abstract

Life skills is a skill that is needed to work in addition to academic skills. oriented life skills to equip students in improving their standard of living as well looking at their capabilities so as to overcome the problems faced and take advantage of opportunities and clever mingle in society. But still many students who do not have skills entrepreneurship. The synergy of life skills in entrepreneurship is needed in term of personal skills, social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills. Abstract

The purpose of research is describethe rule, shape and meaning of clothing philosophy attended the wedding event for woman in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. This study is a descriptive kualitatif study. Object this study is rule, shape and meaning of clothing philosophy attended the wedding event for woman in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. Analysis techniques with reduction data, display of data and conclusion. The results showed that rules about attending marriage attire have written rules socialized, clothing used by Bundo Kanduang used kuruang basiba clotch, tingkuluak kompong, salempang, saruang2jao and slipper which is closed on the front. The meaning of philosophy contained in kuruang basiba clotch is women must be careful field, not selfish, can accept input from others, open and willing to associate with anyone. Tingkuluak kompong has a meaning, minang women are people who are customary and religious. The sling describes Bundo Kanduang as having a great responsibility towards her husband and child. Sarung batik with a cloth head placed on the back contains meaning, wherever he goes should always remember the child and her husband waiting at home. Slipper that are closed on the front of the model means that the wearing can keep a secret .Keywords : Wedding, Baju Kuruang, in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago
