Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan koleksi umum yang tersedia di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang; (2) mendeskripsikan tingkat keterpakaian koleksi umum di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang dan; (3) memetakan kekuatan dan kelemahan koleksi umum yang dimiliki Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Target capaian dalam penelitian ini perpustakaan dapat mengetahui kesesuaian koleksi dengan kebutuhan pemustaka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Koleksi umum yang tersedia di Perpustakaan UNP terdiri dari 46.101 judul dengan 224.694 eksemplar. (2) Tingkat keterpakaian koleksi umum di Perpustakaan UNP rata-rata perbulan adalah 4.998 eksemplar. Pemakain koleksi yang paling tinggi berdasarkan fakultas yaitu Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) sedangkan keterpakaian koleksi berdasarkan subjek koleksi yang paling banyak di manfaatkan adalah Ilmu sosial dengan jumlah 14.610 eksemplar. Dari data tersebut dapat di ketahui bahwa peminjaman koleksi umum masih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah koleksi yang tersedia dan jumlah mahasiswa UNP. (3) Kekuatan koleksi umum di Perpustakaan UNP berada pada subjek ilmu sosial dengan 15.160 judul dengan 81.501 eksemplar merupkan subjek inti koleksi Perpustakaan UNP. Kelemahan koleksi yang dimiliki perpustakaan UNP berdasarkan subjek yang sedikit dimiliki perpustakaan Â yaitu subjek karya umum yang terdiri dari 1.503 judul dengan 6.524 eksemplar, kemudian diikuti oleh koleksi dengan subjek filsafat dan psikologi yang terdiri dari 1.859 judul dengan 8423 eksemplar dan subjek kesenian dan olah raga yang terdiri dari 1.770 judul dengan 9.573 eksemplar.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikanpola produktivitas pengarang dan penyebaran artikel  dalam jurnal-jurnal ilmiah bidang sastra di Indonesia tahun 2003 –2012. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis bibliometrika.Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan mengidentifikasi artikel-artikel ilmiah di bidang sastra Indonesia yang terdapat dalam jurnal ilmiah yang terbit di Indonesia dari tahun 2003-2012 melalui Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD) PDII-LIPI.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Perkembangan jumlah artikel cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya, terutama periode lima tahun terakhir dari 2008-2012 walaupun bersifat fluktuatif dan perkembangan jumlah pengarang artikel bidang sastra Indonesia juga cenderung meningkat setiap tahun, kecuali terjadi penurunan di tahun 2012. (2) Pola produktivitas pengarang artikel bidang sastra Indonesia tahun 2003-2012 berdasarkan Hukum Lotka terdapat kesesuaian teori, dimana lebih banyak pengarang yang berkontribusi untuk satu artikel dan sedikit pengarang yang  berkontribusi untuk lebih dari satu artikel. (4) Distribusi artikel dalam jurnal berdasarkan Hukum Bradford menunjukkan terdapat 4 jurnal inti, yaitu Metasastra, Atavisme, Kandai, dan Aksara.

This study aims to describe: (1) writersâ€™ quotation in Jurnal â€œSuluahâ€ published by Balai Pelestarian Sejarah dan Nilai Tradisional Padang, (2) characteristics of literatures quoted by writers, and (3) authorship pattern. Quotation analysis method is used to study the relation between quoting documents and the documents quoted. The object of this study is the publications in Jurnal Suluah in 2001-2-12.The research finds that: (1) writersâ€™ quotation pattern based on article contribution and the number of quotations in articles is 155 articles and 1607 quotations. In average, one article quotes ten documents from various forms of sources. (2) Characteristics of literatures quoted by writers based on genre, year, and age of literatures are as follows: (a) the most contributing document in article writing is book, achieving 1316 quotations; (b) the year span of documents quoted is from 1827 to 2010; and (c) the age of the most cited documents is those published in the last ten years (2001-2010) as much as 35%; (c) the pattern of authorship is that the most cited writer is Koentjaraningrat with 37 citations. The rate of collaborations of the author is very low, because 97% of articles are written by a single author and only 3% are multiple authors.Keywords: scientific articles quotation, Minangkabau study, Jurnal Suluah

This article aims to describe the technique of preparation of annotated bibliography thesis students of Indonesian Literature Library collection 2009-2013 Year Indonesian Language and Literature Department, State University of Padang. Making this annotated bibliography can help library user in information retrieval required by pemustaka without having to read the whole essay tersbut. Based on these explanations can be concluded that the stages in the manufacture of annotated bibliography for thesis students of Indonesian Literature Library collection 2009-2013 Year Indonesian Language and Literature Department at the State University of Padang as follows: (1) determination of the title of the bibliography; (2) collecting data yng techniques used in obtaining the data using direct observation to the field; (3) the selection of library materials in the author aims to facilitate the preparation of an annotated bibliography tersbut; (4) grouping aims for the preparation of this biblografi systematically arranged; (5) keyword generation; (6) preparation of the index, which is used to facilitate retrieval pemustaka preformance layout word; (7) Typing bibliography, which consists of writing the author's name, title writing, Legal information (city of publication, publisher, year of publication), and collation; (8) the final editing bibliography which aims to avoid small mistakes which can give rise to doubts about the annotated bibliography. This article discuss about library effectiveness service in different ability school of Wacana Asih Padang West Sumatera Indonesia. The conclusion based on analysis data is First the library service by librarian in different ability school of Wacana Asih Padang not yet to do, because many student a little get and not use a service library. Second still find a trouble in service library activities in different ability school of Wacana Asih Padang, like us less attention and miss understanding from the librarian about library service, less facility and estimate fund. And then less amount of service in the library it make not effective for service. Third the effort that can be doing to solve the problem is the librarian must get a special training and suggestion to more care about library service. To improve the facility and estimate fund, to get a better library effectiveness service for student.Â Keyword: effectiveness, service, different ability school

The purpose of this study is to describe the making of informative abstracts of research reports collection service deposit Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province to make it easier to find the information needed at any time. The method used in writing this paper is a descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation. Stages in making informative abstracts are; (1) read and collect documents; (2) abstract recordings; (3) making and typing informative abstract; (4) examination of the abstract final manuscript; (5) the use of the index, in this informative abstract also made index, the index listed on the informative abstract is the first index of the author, both the title index and the three keyword indexes. Informative abstracts are made to facilitate users in finding information and users do not need to read the entire contents of the research report collection Service Deposit Archive Service and Library of West Sumatra Province.Keyword: abstract informative; collection; research report

AbstractÂ Indigenous knowledge or traditional knowledge of the community regarding batagak penghulu in Nagari Lubuk Pandan, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. In the procession of matters relating to the following matters: first, minimal local knowledge or traditional knowledge of the community about the course in Nagari Lubuk Pandan, Padang Pariaman Regency. secondly, there are several steps in the repackaging of local wisdom information about: (1) after asking the user, it turns out that the community needs information about the adat procession of batagak pangulu; (2) collecting information in the study area by conducting interviews and also searching for information using several related books and journals, and storing it related to data storage, (3) packaging information, by making editable packaging products using the Canva application, and (4 ) transferring information, i.e. by way of making repackaging information in book form. Third, there are some challenges and efforts made in the making of information packaging, namely: the difficulty of finding informants, by seeking help from the community to find locations to find informants. Furthermore, the language of the informants is difficult to translate, so ask for help from the community to translate language that is not understood. The latest information about the adat procession of Batang Pangang, the efforts made to overcome this problem through the discussion of the culture of the local community.Keywords: Information, Indigenous Knowledge, Batagak Penghulu.

AbstractÂ This working paper discusses about to manage index of annotation about Minangkabausm in Padang Ekspres newspaper 2017. The method is used in this working paper is descriptive research of method is to collect the datum of real sources fluently of Padang Ekspres newspaper. Thehe are some ways in managing of indexs annotation of articles about Minangkabausim consists of ninth ways as: 1) to do observation for the news paper is, 2) to select the newspaper articles, 3) to make clipping of newspaper, 4) to make description of newspaper articles, 5) to make annotation, 6) to determine the key words, 7) to make index of newspaper articles, 8) to manage index annotation base on subject, 9) to type index annotation, the key words in index, the outhor index. The second, obstacles and efforts are faced in doing to manage annotation index as: 1) to abstacle to doing solution newspaper can be overcome by classify the date of letter based on the publisher time, 2) the newspaper are not complete available can be overcome by making the list of information abot the newspaper completeness, 3) to storage the newspaper are just put in store room, as well as can put in the collection shelfs.Keyword: index of annotation, Padang Ekspres newspaper, Minangkabau

The purpose of this paper is to describe (1) find out the serial publications management system in UPT Library Proclaimer Bung Hatta Bukittinggi, (2) know the obstacles faced in the serial issue management system in UPT Library Proclaimer Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. The Data collected through observations, interviews and literature study. The findings of this research is based on analysing school financing data can be concluded as follows: (1) The management of serial issues that were on PPBH Bukittinggi consisting of five activities which were Procurement, processing, service issues resplendent, preservation issues resplendent, and promotion issues splendent (2) obstacles faced was the lack of cooperation of libraries with the Publisher, the absence of cataloge and index, the Ministry has not gone well, tools for menjilid much less, and there hasn't been done in a series of promotional publications. AbstractThe writing of this paper aims to: First, it is easy to compile a legal subject annotated bibliography to create a textbook at the West Sumatra Regional Police Library. Second, a definition that can be used in the preparation of an annotated legal subject bibliography at the Sumatra Bara Regional Police Library. Third, knowing the efforts made in the preparation of an annotated legal subject bibliography at the West Sumatra Regional Police Library.The method used is descriptive method that is giving anything or collecting data directly from the source. Data collected through direct observation at the West Sumatra Regional Police Library, grouping legal subject collections, typing book annotations, sewing author names and keyword indexes that were finally formulated and formats which are modern language formats (MLA) that can fit the quotation format more precisely for all research that is printed, for example is a book.Keyword: annotated bibliography, legal subject.
