Abstract

This research aimed to identify differences in the ability to write poetry in grade 5th students who are taught using STAD learning model with 5th grade students who are taught using NHT learning model, identify the differences in writing poetry skill of 5th grade students who have high and low learning motivation, identify the interaction of learning models and learning motivation with poetry writing skills. This research is Quantitative Research with Factorial Design. The research subjects were 25 fifth-grade students of SDN Purwotomo in the 2018/2019 academic year. The data were collected with essay test and non test (Questionnaire). They were analysed using prerequisite test analysis. There is a difference in the poetry writing ability of students taught with STAD learning model and students taught using NHT learning model indicated by FA = = 12,63 > Ftable = 4,08, there is difference in the poetry writing ability of students who have high learning motivation with students who have low learning motivation indicated by FB = 15,29 > Ftable = 4,08, there is an  interaction between learning model and learning motivation towards poetry writing ability indicated by FAB = 12,82> Ftable =4,08.

Abstract

Penilaian merupakan salah satu komponen pokok dalam proses pembelajaran. Penilaian atau asesmen seharusnya dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian indikator pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan penilaian afektif sikap sosial berbasis teknik peer and self assessment pada kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan studi pustaka. Hasil pembahasan dari penulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan afektif merupakan bagian dari hasil belajar yang memiliki peran sangat penting. Model penilaian afektif berbasis teknik peer and self assessment merupakan model penilaian inovatif yang sedang dikembangkan di dunia pendidikan karena model penilaian ini dapat memberikan dampak positif pada perkembangan kepribadian peserta didik.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe students’ and lecturers’ needs on poetry and drama appreciative textbook, (2) to describe the development of textbook model (3) to find the effectiveness of textbook model 4) to describe textbook dissemination. The type of research used was research and development. Research was done through 4 stages: (1) exploration, (2) model development, (3) model testing, (4) dissemination. Exploration stage used qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was interactive analysis model. Model testing was done through experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) the exploration stage showed that the poetry and drama learning textbook used by Elementary Teacher Education Program (ETEP) studentsin Surakarta did not meet the students’ and lecturers’ need, (2) model development stage producedappreciative poetry and drama textbook through preliminary field testing; (3) model testing phase was to test effectiveness of the textbook used t-test non-independent technique.It was obtained tobtainof 23 and ttable(90; 0.05)of 1.67. Thus, tobtained (23)> ttable (1.67) which meant that the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected). In conclusion, the Appreciative Poetry and Drama textbook model was effectively improve students' poetry and drama appreciation skills. Dissemination was done through national seminars, article writing in international journals, as well as the publishing of an Integrative-thematic Textbook of Poetry and Drama Learning with ISBN.

Abstract

Writing poetry is a subject taught at the primary school level. Outdoor learning activities require students directly invited to interact with objects that will be used as material for writing poetry, so that the process of writing poetry learning an object will become more clear and more real. Outdoor learning stimulates the creative power and imagination of the students in order to put their ideas, thoughts, and ideas into poetry. In addition, the teaching and learning process will feel more alive and more fun than by doing the teaching and learning process in the classroom

Abstract

This research aims to find out the difference between teaching inquiry methods and teaching methods of two stay two strays; differences of students who have high and low interest in reading; as well as the interaction between teaching methods and reading interest in the ability to write short stories. The research method is a 2x2 factorial design experiment research, with the research population of all students of Samarinda City State High School. Research data is obtained through tests of writing short stories and reading interest questionnaires. Based on the analysis of data obtained results, there is a difference between students with teaching method inquiry and two stay two stray from the statistical results Fh = 21.57 > Ft = 4.01; there is a difference in ability between students interested in high reading and low reading interest with statistical results Fh = 15.12 > Ft = 4.01; There is an interaction between teaching methods and reading interest in short story writing skills with statistical results Fh = 6.41 > Ft = 4.01. The conclusion of this study is: the method of teaching inquiry is better than two stay two strays; high reading interest is better than low reading interest; there is also an interaction between teaching inquiry methods and reading interest in short story writing skills.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe critical thinking ability on the fraction division of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Tegalayu Surakarta. This study used qualitative research method, specifically qualitative case study. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalayu, totalling 25 students. Data collection techniques in this study included interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity technique in this study was triangulation that consisted of technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data were analysed by using interactive analytical model of Miles, Huberman, & Saldana. The results of this study showed that the ability to think critically was generally in the low category. The interpretation ability was in the medium category. The analytical ability was in the low category. The evaluation ability was in the low category. The inference ability was in the low category. The indicator of the lowest critical thinking ability was the inference indicator. Thus, this mathematical critical thinking study can be used as a reference for another study in other elementary schools. Besides school and teachers are expected to have the skills to develop students' critical thinking ability.
