Abstract

Kemudi merupakan salah satu di antara alat mekanis yang dipakai untuk menentukan dan mengaturarah haluan atau maneuvering kapal pada saat berlayar. Pada kapal KMP.SULTAN MURHUMterdapat permasalahan pada daun kemudinya, dimana terjadi getaran yang mengurangi kelincahanpada saat melakukan maneuvering. Oleh karena itu, pemilik kapal menginginkan perubahan ukuranatau dimensi daun kemudi yang tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan maneuvering kapal yang terjadi padaKMP.SULTAN MURHUM sebelumnya. Tujuannya adalah untuk mencegah over maneuvering yangterjadi. Oleh karena itu penulis ingin melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mengetahui luas daunkemudi dan gaya-gaya yang bekerja pada daun kemudi, dan mengetahui berapa besar daya mesinpenggerak kemudi yang dibutuhkan. Gaya-gaya yang bekerja pada daun kemudi akibat perubahandimensi kemudi maka diperoleh gaya normal daun kemudi (Pn) = 1183,525 N, kapasitas mesinkemudi (Power Steering Gear) (D) = 2,50 Hp. Dari hasil perhitungan luas daun kemudi yang bekerjapada daun kemudi adalah = 0,910 m2.

Abstract

The “Karya Bersama” Fisherman Group in Galesong Village, Galesong District, Takalar Regency as partners in this activity using an outboard engine as a fiberglass boat propulsion engine in fishing activities. In the initial observation, information was found that the service life of their boat engine was very low, which was about 3 years because the engine was often failure. The causes of engine failure are the lack of fishermen’s knowledge on how to run the engine properly and engine maintenance techniques. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of partners in boat engine maintenance techniques. The expected benefit of this activity is to reduce the number of engine breakdowns and reduce operational costs, especially the cost of repairing boat engines. The method of this service activity is counseling by providing material about the general description of ship propulsion engines, types of engine damage, and periodic maintenance techniques on boat engines. Evaluation of the level of knowledge of participants in receiving the transfer of science and technology is carried out using the pre-test method at the beginning of the activity and the post-test conducted at the end of the activity. The results of the activity showed that 90% of the 10 participants had good knowledge of boat engine periodic maintenance techniques and were able to carry out engine maintenance activities correctly.

Abstract

The community paradigm regarding the use of equipment that supports work safety and security still considers it disturbing the flexibility and flexibility of working. People have always assumed that they, and even those before them, were able to work safely and safely without the use of such equipment. This activity aims to provide an understanding of risk mitigation if problems occur in the ship production work process at CV's shipyard. Deka Cipta Sarana which is located in Barombong, Makassar City, as well as an introduction to work safety and security equipment and equipment, as well as understanding how to use it optimally. The implementation of this activity involved 15 workers at the shipyard location. Based on the results of the analysis of the questionnaire data distributed before and after the implementation of the activity, it was found that there was an increase in worker awareness in the implementation of the occupational safety and security management system. Understanding of risk mitigation of ship production work processes increased from 33% to 60% and understanding of the use of safety and security equipment and equipment increased from 27% to 67%.

Abstract

OT ship. Skylie is a type of tanker produced by PT. Samudra Marine Indonesia, in its construction, applies a keel cooler as a cooling device for the main engine propulsion of ships. This keel cooleris one of the new types of heat exchangers which is applied in the field of shipping. A cooling system using a keel cooler is a closed-circuit cooling system that is installed externally on the hull below the waterline. This study aims to determine the overall heat transfer value and the effect of changes in ship power/torque on the effectiveness of the keel cooler-type heat exchanger. The analysis uses two methods, namely CFD analysis and simulation using the Ansys CFX R20 application. Based on the results of calculations on several ship power/torque conditions, the largest heat transfer value is obtainednamely 5.599 x 10 5 W at 100% power condition and the lowest value is 5.055 x 105 W at 10% power condition. Meanwhile, the highest effectiveness value is 79.985% and the smallest value is 79.839%. So it can it was concluded that the use of the keel cooler on the OT ship. Skylie has met the standard value of effectiveness for a heat exchanger that is equal to 50%.
