Abstract

Abstract: The research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning type of think pair square (TPS). The subject of the research is students of class VIII5 SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015. There are 38 students in the class, consist of 17 boys and 21 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Results of this research showed that the teacher’s activities and students have done well after doing the action. Most of students were excited and active in learning process. Such as while they were doing the steps of learning, presenting students’ worksheet or questions, responding the friend’s presentation and giving the conclusion of learning. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 36.8%, 42.1%, and 71.05%. Results of this research indicates that the cooperative learning structural approach type of think pair square can improve learning process and students' mathematics learning outcomes math class VIII5 SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Think Pair Square, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve thelearning process and to improve the student’s mathematical problem solving ability byapplying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subjects of this research are the studentof class VII4 Junior High School 11 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years2015/2016, which amounts to 38 students. This research consists of two cycles, eachcycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.Data collected through observation and student’s mathematical problem solving abilitytest. Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematicalproblem solving ability data analysis. The action is successful if the scores of teacher’sactivities and student’s activities increase in every meeting, improve the student’smathematical problem solving ability every cycle and improve the classical’smathematical problem solving ability. The result of observation show teacher andstudents activities are improve better than before in every meeting. Based on dataanalisys of student’s mathematical problem solving ability test show the average N-gainof student’s mathematical problem solving ability in first cycle has improve 0,26, itsmean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in low classification and insecond cycle the average N-gain of student’s mathematical problem solving ability hasimprove 0,71, its mean the student’s mathematical problem solving ability in highclassification. The average score of classical’s mathematical problem solving abilityhas improve 16,5 in first cycle than beginning test and the average score of classical’smathematical problem solving ability has improve 29,66 in second cycle than first cycle.The result of this research showed that Problem Based Learning improve the learningprocess and increase the the student’s mathematical problem solving ability of classVII4 Junior High School 11 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years 2015/2016.Key words: Student’s mathematical problem solving ability, Problem Based Learning,Classroom action research

Abstract

Absract : This research was conducted based on the student’s low interest in math of students class VIII1at SMPN 1 Bantan with percentage 50%. This research was classroom action research. This research aimed to improve students’ interest in math with TSTST cooperative Learning Model. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII1 at SMPN 1 Bantan year 2015/2016. The numbers of students in this research were 20 students consist of 8 male students and 12 are female. The instrument of data collected were observation sheets activities of teachers and students and questionnaire of student’s interest in math. The observation sheets were analysed with qualitative, while the questionnaire were analysed by descriptive quantitative. Based on both analysis showed the improvement of students interest in math before and after the research. The result showed the increasing of students interest for 19% from the previous number before the research was done that is 59% to 70% after the research. Based on the result of the research, we can conclude that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) can improve students’ interest in math of students class VIII1 at SMPN 1 Bantanacademic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Students interest in math, Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve the students mathematics achievement by implementing the cooperative learning type STAD. The subject of this research was the third grade students at class III SDN 01 Pendalian IV Koto in the second semester academic years 2014/2015. There were 20 students which consist of 11 boys and 9 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. This research was implemented in two cycles, and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test. Data collected through observation and mathematics achievement test. The results of this research showed that the activities of teacher and students have done well after doing the action. The students learning process have more focussed on increasing the knowledge and students interaction become better. Most of students were excited and more active in learning process, such as while they were doing the steps of learning, like preresenting students’ worksheet or questions, respond to their friend’s presentation and giving the conclusion of learning. The action was successful if the number of students who got the score of minimum mastery criteria increase in mathematics achievement tests I and II. The number of students who got the base of score of minimum mastery criteria on the first mathematics achievement test I (first cycle) and the second mathematics achievement test II (second cycle) are respectively 25%, 45%, and 60%. The results of this research indicates that the cooperative learning type STAD can improve the mathematics achievement of the third grade students at class III SDN 01 Pendalian IV Koto.Keywords: Mathematics Achievement, Cooperative Learning Type of STAD, Class Action Research

Abstract

Lack of concept mastery is thought to be one of the causes of students difficulties in learning mathematics. Moreover, a learning management unsuitablewith the level of students’intellectual development and the low active role of students in learning is seen as a trigger for a tenuous control of concepts.This condition underlies the importance of a research, so the goal is to examine the impact of the application of ExampleNon Example learning models, guided by Bruners Theory. This study employs the design of pre-test and post-test Group Design with a sample of 199 people. Research data were collected by tests and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results show that the application of the Examples Non Examples model based on Bruner’s theory contributes significantly to improve students understanding ofthe concept of plane figure by 47.8%.

Abstract

Abstract : The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. This research conducted of class VII5 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru on secons semester of academic year 2017/2018 wich consists of 35students. This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the student’smathematical problem solving skill (MPSS) by applying Problem Solving Strategy (PSS). The instruments used in this research were learning instrumentsused include syllabus, lesson plan, student work sheets and the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and MPPS test. After analysis of implementing the Problem Solving Strategy on students and teacher activity, during the learning process student’s participation in learnig more active. The MPSS test data of analyzed students’activity shows an improvement. The mean of the student’s learning achievmentfor scores early 49.72 increase in cycle I which is 68.86 had improved to 85.31in cycle II. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve the learning outcomes of mathematics by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-8 of SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 42 people with heterogeneous levels of academic ability. This study consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Every end of the cycle is held Daily Deuteronomy (UH). Data collection is done through UH observations and tests. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive narrative analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Actions are said to be successful if there is an improvement in the learning process and the number of students who achieve the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) increases in UH I and UH II. The results of the study showed an increase in the activities of teachers and students. Most students are seen as actively participating in the learning process, such as discussing, presenting Student Worksheets (LKPD), responding to their friends' presentations and giving learning conclusions. Students also try to solve the problems that the teacher gives them well. Therefore it can be said that there is an improvement in the learning process in the cycle. In addition, the number of students who reached KKM on the basic score, UH I (cycle I), UH II (cycle II) were 15 people (35.71%), 23 people (54.76%), and 33 people (78.57%) respectively. . The percentage of KKM achievement shows an increase from before the action to after the action so that it can be said that the learning outcomes of students also increase. The results of this study indicate that the PBL model can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII-8 in SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year on material relations and functions.Key Words: Mathematic learning evaluation, Classical research, Problem based learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process andto increase mathematics achievementwith appliedthe learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is student of class VIII.3 SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru in the secondsemester academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 25 students. The research consisit of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.At the end of every cycle the quiz will be implemented. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The analysis result of observation sheets indicated the learning process in cycle I were better than learning process in before action and learning process in cycle II were better than learning process in cycle I. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process,such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to quiz I and II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematicsabout knowledge of the basic score (20%)to the first quiz (56%) to the second quiz II (80%). Results of this research indicates that appication of the learning model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievementfrom the students at class VIII.3 SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2017/2018.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class ActionResearch

Abstract

Abstract: The learning process is seen as one of the main factors that influence learning outcomes so that this research aims to improve learning process and students’ mathematics learning achievement by applying Discovery Learning model. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Activity Sheets) and data collecting instruments (Observation Sheets and Students Mathematic Tests). Data collection techniques in this research used are observation techniques and test techniques. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. Subject of this research are students of XI MIA 1 MAN 3 Kota Pekanbaru in second semester of academic year 2018/2019, which consist of 30 students. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the Discovery Learning model, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. On knowledge competence, the number of students who can reach KKM in Cycle I is 26,67% and 63,33% in Cycle II. On skill competence, the number of students who can reach KKM in Cycle I with percentage 26,67% and 43,33% in Cycle II. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes in class of XI MIA 1 MAN 3 Kota Pekanbaru.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student?s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Think-Talk-Write Strategy in Cooperative Learning. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class X MIA SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year with the subject of as many as 16 students, consist of 5 boys and 11 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research is the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test II are respectively 6 person (37,5%), 8 person (50%) and 12 person (75%). Results of this research indicates that application of the Think-Talk-Write Strategy in Cooperative Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class X MIA SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2018/2019 in matery of Trigonometry.Key Words: Cooperative Learning, Think Talk Write Strategy, Learning Process, Student?s Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Classroom Action Research.
