Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian kecakapan akademik dan gambaran tingkat kecakapan akademik mahasiwa dalam mata kuliah sejarah matematika dengan menggunakan reciprocal learning. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester dua kelas C sebagai kelas control dan kelas F sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes uraian kecakapan akademik dan observasi. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain kelompok kontrol tidak ekuivalen (the nonequivalent control group design). Selain menggunakan desain penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini juga mengadopsi penelitian campuran (mixed method) dengan desain sequential explanatory. Hasil tes kecakapan akademik mahasiwa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut yaitu 85,24 dan 66,75. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, kecakapan akademik mahasiswa yang menggunakan reciprocal learning lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil kecakapan akademik dari delapan pertemuan menunjukkan nila rata-rata kemampuan kecakapan akademik mahasiswa pada kelas eksperimen adalah 80,58 dan tergolong dalam kategori tinggi, yang terdiri dari empat aspek yaitu mengidentifikasi variabel 91,81; menghubungkan variabel 74,03; merumuskan hipotesis 72,74; dan melaksanakan penyelidikan 83,73. Kesimpulannya, Reciprocal Learning dapat melatih kecakapan akademik mahasiswa dalam dalam mata kuliah sejarah matematika. Kata kunci: kecakapan akademik, reciprocal learning, sejarah matematika.   ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to determine the achievement of academic skills and to overview the students’ academic skills level in history of mathematics course with reciprocal learning. Subjects in this study were second semester students of C class as the control class and F class as the experimental class. Data was collected by essay test of academic skills and observations. The design used in this study is the nonequivalent control group design. In addition, this study also adopted a mixed method with sequential explanatory design. The results of the students’ academic achievement in experimental class and control class, respectively, were 85.24 and 66.75. Based on the results of statistical tests, the academic achievement of students who used reciprocal learning was better than students who used conventional learning. Based on the analysis of observation in eight meetings, the average score of the ability of students’ academic skills in experimental class was 80.58 and it belonged to the high category, which consisted of four aspects, namely identifying variables with 91.81, connecting variables with 74.03, formulating hypotheses with 72.74, and carry out investigations with 83.73. So, reciprocal learning can train students’ academic skills in learning and it can be seen from the better obtained results. Keywords: academic skills, reciprocal learning, mathematics history.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was determine the application of contextual teaching learning approach to improve the mastery of concepts volume of the rotary object. The study design was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection technique used pretest and posttest to determine the mastery of concepts of volume of the rotary object. Hypothesis testing using t-test to compare the the mastery of concepts volume of the rotary object in the experimental class and control class, then a further test by comparing the mean (compare means) and average absolute gain Based on the research result the data show that it can be concluded that the approach of contextual learning significantly distinction of concepts volume of the rotary object. Keywords:  Contextual Teaching Learning Approach, The Mastery of Concepts, Volume of The Rotary Object

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students’ difficulties types and its factors in Mathematics History subject. This research is descriptive qualitative. Research subject of this research consists of six students in second semester of Mathematics department at the FKIP Unsika. Technique of data collection are interview and documentation. Moreover, technique of data analysis through three activities: data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The result of this research shows students experienced difficulties, firstly comprehending concept difficulties that covers: (1) difficulty on formulating technique or a manner of numeral statement; (2) difficulty differentiate characteristic or symbol form and numerical in Babylonia era, Egypt, Greek and China; (3) difficulty in calculating phase; (4) difficulty applying Pythagoras theorem. Secondly difficulty to communicate that covers: (1) difficulty illustrating and composing of written and numbered form (2) difficulty explaining history of finding number and numerical in order form. Factors cause difficulties, first intrinsic factor: lack of learning activity, difficulty in memorizing numerical symbol and number, difficulty retell story of history development which has been learned. Second extrinsic factor, tend to more active in outside classroom activity. Key words: learning difficulty, difficulties factor, history of Mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to give an idea of how the level of mathematical anxiety of high school students. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Measurements of student anxiety are seen during the math learning process. The population in this study was 13 high school X graders. The data collection technique uses a mathematical anxiety scale questionnaire containing 23 statements with 3 indicators and analyzed in descriptive statistical form which is then categorized by 4 categories, including high, medium, low, and very low. After the mathematical anxiety level picture was produced, 4 students were selected where each student represented each category to be analyzed in a positive manner the questionnaire answers that had been given. The results showed that no students experienced excessive anxiety levels or in the category of very high anxiety levels, in the very low category it was seen that the number of students who had less mathematical anxiety levels compared to other anxiety level categories was only 1 student, in the category of low mathematical anxiety levels as many as 3 students, 4 students belonged to the category of high anxiety levels or excessive anxiety levels , while the number of students who experience the most levels of anxiety is included in the category of moderate anxiety levels as many as 5 students.

Abstract

Mathematical connection is one of the mathematical ability that need to be possessed and developed in students. Mathematical connection ability will help students build a much better understanding of mathematics. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe students' mathematical connection ability in solving straight line equations. The research subjects in this study were three students of class VIII-D at SMPIT Nurul Husna Bekasi Regency, from 14 people. Subject selection based on written test results. The data collection technique described the mathematical connection ability test questions and interviews. Then, the data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study results showed that students with high mathematical connection ability had met the three indicators of mathematical connection, in contrast to students with low and medium ability who had not completed the three indicators of mathematical connections.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara habits of mind dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP pada mata pelajaran matematika. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan metode yang dipilih adalah correlational research. Sampel penelitian yang terpilih adalah siswa dari kelas IX E di SMP Negeri 1 Karawang Barat dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 40 siswa. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik probability sampling dengan spesifikasi cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa uraian dan non tes berupa angket skala likert. Teknik pengolahan data yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji korelasi pearson. Hasil uji korelasi pearson menunjukkan bahwa nilai korelasi pearson yang diperoleh sebesar 0,520 dengan nilai signifikansinya adalah 0,001 < 0,05. Hal ini berarti menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dengan keeratan hubungan yang cukup.

Abstract

This research purpose of this article is to know the increase of the ability of mathematical communication  based on the learning software cabri on 3D material. Research method used is quasi experiment with group design control post. The experimental units is two classes which use learning with software cabri 3D, and conventional learning. The subject of this research is thirty students class XI SMK in Karawang. Instrument used to measure mathematical communication ability is written test in explanation form. The result of data analysis shows that learning with using software cabri 3D gave influence to the increasing of mathematical communication ability on three dimension material. The average score of control group is 20,73, and the average score of treatment group is 24,97

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan dan faktor penyebab kesalahan siswa (tahapan kastolan) dalam menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep yang dialami oleh siswa SMP kelas 8. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siswa dengan ketegori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara, dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesalahan tapahan kastolan yang dilakukan siswa. Pada kesalahan konseptual mayoritas siswa mengalami kesalahan dalam memahami konsep dari maksud soal. Pada kesalahan prosedural mayoritas siswa menjawab soal dengan tidak sesuai langkah-langkahnya dalam menyelesaikan soal. Pada kesalahan teknik operasional seringkali siswa mengalami kesalahan dalam menghitung nilai dari suatu penyelesaian soal. Faktor penyebab kesalahan tersebut yaitu siswa tidak memahami maksud dari soal, siswa tidak sesuai langkah-langkahnya dalam menyelesaikan soal, siswa kurang teliti dalam menjawab soal dan siswa tidak mengecek kembali hasil pekerjaannya dikarenakan siswa terburu-buru dengan waktu yang diberikan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran berbasis kewirausahaan bertujuan agar jiwa kewirausahaan dimiliki oleh setiap siswa yang lulus di satuan pendidikan dengan harapan jiwa kewirausahaan sebagai modal dasar dalam berwirausaha ketika mereka sudah lulus. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah agar guru dan calon guru mendapatkan pemahaman sekaligus mempraktekan mengenai pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis kewirausahaan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 13-14 Oktober 2020 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 36 orang dari guru dan calon guru matematika. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMK Rosma Karawang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis kewirausahaan ini ditanggapi positif oleh peserta pelatihan dengan kategori puas 52,6% dan sangat puas 47,4%. Peserta pelatihan memiliki wawasan baru mengenai pengembangan bahan ajar yang dapat diterapkan di kelas ketika pembelajaran dilaksanakan.Entrepreneurship-based learning aims to make an entrepreneurial spirit possessed by every student who graduates in the education unit with the hope that an entrepreneurial spirit is the basic capital in entrepreneurship when they graduate. The purpose of this activity is so that teachers and prospective teachers gain understanding as well as practice making entrepreneurship-based teaching materials. This service was carried out on October 13-14 2020 with a total of 36 participants from teachers and prospective mathematics teachers. This activity was carried out at SMK Rosma Karawang. The results of this activity showed that the entrepreneurship-based teaching materials development training received a positive response from the training participants with the category of 52.6% satisfied and 47.4% very satisfied. Training participants have new insights about the development of teaching materials that can be applied in class when learning is carried out.

Abstract

In accordance with technological developments in the 21st century, the use of mathematical software can be used in the learning process. Teaching materials become one of the most important parts in the learning process in class. The teaching material developed in this study is a module. Decision modules are seen from expert assessors in their fields, then they are approved in a limited group and field trials conducted by researchers. This research develops an android assisted practicum module on selective capita. This research uses research and development methods. The design is the development using ADDIE. The stages of the ADDIE model design are: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) development, and (5) evaluation. The assessment instruments used consisted of expert material sheets, learning design experts, instructional media experts, limited trials and field tests as well as learning outcomes tests. Based on the results of this study produced a lab-assisted android module on a selective capita that meets the proper category to use.
