Abstract

Background: Arthritis Gout or Gout is also a category of chronic non-communicable disease (NCD). Gout is a metabolic disease caused by excess levels of uric compounds in the body. A Pharmacological approach that can be used is the administration of NSAID drugs. The non-pharmacological approach can be in the form of education, setting a low-purine diet and pain management guidelines using warm compresses to reduce pain gout sufferers and improve or maintain function and quality of life. Objective: To determine the effect of warm water compresses application with pieces of ginger and lemongrass on pain intensity in patients with gout arthritis. Methods: This was a pre-experimental study with one group using pre and post-test approach. The sample was patients with gout arthritis who experienced pain in the joints as many as 25 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. The data analysis was using Wilcoxon Statistical Test. Result: This study was using respondents precentage for pre and post-test, the average respondent experienced moderate pain and after the intervention, the pain intesity decreased to relax and comfortable. Statistical test results showed p-value = 0.000< =0.05, meaning that there was an effect of giving warm water compresses with pieces of ginger and lemongrass on the pain intensity of means that it had an impact on pain intensity in people with gout. Conclusion: This result showed that the application of warm water compresses with pieces of ginger and lemongrass could lowering the pain intensity in people with gout.

Abstract

Relations of Anemia in Pregnancy With Inpartu Kala II Lama in BPM Ny. Suhariyati Surabaya. Anemia in pregnancy in Indonesia is still high, with a national rate of 65% which each region has different variations, anemia is one of the causes of prolonged labor. BPM Ny. Suhariyati Surabaya in December 2014 of 18 people inpartu obtained 6 (33.33%) who have anemia, of the 6 3 occurred prolonged second stage and 12 persons (66.7%) were not anemic, of the 12 people 3 people experiencing prolonged second stage. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal anemia during long inpartu the second stage in the BPM Ny. Suhariyati Surabaya. This study uses an observational analytic study design and by the time the study was cross sectional study with a research population is all women berslin in BPM Ny. Suhariyati a total of 90 people for 2 months. Selection of the sample by simple random sampling with a large sample studied was 40. The variables in this study are anemic pregnant women and old stage II. At the time of data collection procedures inpartu using primary data and the processing of data by cross tables and chi square test. Based on the results of the study of 40 people found 14 (35.00%) had anemia which consists of 4 people (28.57%) had stage II normal and 10 (71.42%) experienced a prolonged second stage. The conclusions of this study is almost half inpartu mothers have anemia, mostly mothers inpartu experiencing prolonged second stage and there is a relationship between maternal anemia during inpartu with prolonged second stage. Advice for pregnant women should undergo hemoglobin levels every 3 months and taking 90 tablets Fe to pregnant women during pregnancy.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah untuk memberikan motivasi belajar kepada siswa SMK Piri OKU Selatan melalui kegiatan workshop strategi belajar mind  map dan simulasi penggunaan teropong agar lebih terpacu semangat belajar mereka . Workshop diselenggarakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu (1) penyampaian materi mind map; (2) simulasi penggunaan teropong; (3) pemberian motivasi kepada siswa siswa. Hasilnya pada tahapan penyampaian materi para siswa diajarkan trik sukses belajar melalui mind mapping dan mempraktekkan membuat mapping sendiri, juga mengenai simulasi teropong mereka diajari cara merakit dan menggunakan teropong secara langsung dan terakhir mereka diberikan gambaran dan motivasi bagaimana langkah selanjutnya agar sukses belajar dan rencana setelah lulus sekolah, “apakah menikah, kerja atau kuliah”  karena objek kegiatan kelas 12 SMK.
