Abstract

Mastering the art of self reflection can help the self-maturing process and exploring out life meaning. It can also lead to profound transformation and personal growth, especially for aspects of religiosity. Gibbs offered a model of reflections which can be used. However, it needed some modification. The purposes of this paper was to modify the process of reflection of Gibbss covered in the model, through the analysis and interdisciplinary thinking. The method used was critical text analysis. Modifications to the Gibbss reflection model was done by changing the flow stage of self-reflection and developing the content in each stage. Gibbss model of reflection becomes more comprehensive and a critical tool for personal transformation in achieving religiosity, as the essence of life.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai  SRG keluarga yang memiliki anak penyandang autis serta faktor yang terkait. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif.  Pengambilan  data dengan teknik Diskusi Kelompok Terarah dan wawancara, dilakukan terhadap tiga keluarga yang memiliki anak penyandang autisme. Partisipan ditentukan secara purposive sampling dengan melibatkan kombinasi tiga strategi yaitu homogen, snowball sampling dan kriteria.  Temuan studi menunjukkan faktor SRG keluarga adalah karakteristik keluarga,  besarnya tekanan, dampak yang terjadi, usaha mengatasi masalah,  dan  sumber dukungan sosial.  SRG keluarga terwujud dalam beberapa bentuk. Pertama, meningkatnya kualitas karakteristik keluarga, keterampilan keluarga dan terciptanya sistem keluarga dalam menghadapi masalah. Kedua, peningkatan kualitas relasi dalam keluarga dan relasi terhadap orang lain  yang diwarnai dengan  kepedulian, kepercayaan, keterbukaan, empati dan perilaku prososial. Ketiga, pertumbuhan spiritual yang  teraktualisasi dalam meningkatnya ritual keagamaan, peningkatan cara pandang spiritual,  kesadaran akan hakekat hidup, munculnya perilaku dan sikap batin positif serta kemauan memperbaiki kualitas keluargaKata kunci: Anak penyandang autisme; pertumbuhan;  Stress-Related Growth keluarga

Abstract

The more difficult and varied changes, demands, and challenges in the world of work emphasize mature readiness to deal with them. Last year students need to prepare themselves with increase career adaptability. An external factor that may affect career adaptability is family social support. Family social support can facilitate last year students’ transition process from university to work and helps last year students to manage distress in deal with future work challenges. Thus, it is important to examine the relationship between family social support and career adaptability among last year student. We argue that there was positive relationship between family social support and career adaptability among last year student. This study employed quantitative research method with Spearman’s rho correlation technique as data analysis. The result showed a significant positive relationship between family social support and career adaptability among last year students (r= 0,375; p= 0,000). The research suggests that last year students should involve their family in career preparation in order to get information, advice, and suggestion which can become consideration to choose appropriate work occupation with interest and competence. Thus, it can ease the last year students’ adaptation process in work environment. Keywords: career adaptability, world of work, family social support, last year student
