Abstract

Thesis is used as one of the graduation requirements for undergraduate students or S1. Likewise for students of Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Harapan (STTH) Medan, they must write a scientific paper in the form of thesis to complete the study. Many processes are passed in writing thesis. Starting from the submission of proposals, the process of guidance, seminars and ends in the trial thesis. The long process of writing thesis raises many obstacles. One of them is the constraints related to communication between faculty and students in the process of guidance. Therefore designed a web-based information system to be able to overcome this. This information system is designed using PHP programming language and MySQL as database. This information system is designed based on case studies at Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Harapan (STTH) Medan. This information system can help smooth the execution of the thesis in the campus environment, ranging from helping the department managing the proposal submission process, determination of supervisors, assisting lecturers and students in communicating schedule Thesis guidance during the process of guidance, to the process of scheduling seminars and thesis trial.

Abstract

Klin en Klin is a business that is engaged in clothes washing and ironing services that are starting to develop. Where this laundry business provides kilogram washing services and washing services that are calculated per item including washing and dry services and ironing services such as washing clothes, washing bad covers, washing blankets, washing curtains, washing dolls, washing bags, washing shoes, washing helmets, washing carpets, wash the coat. The management process in this laundry service activity is still manual. In data collection activities, customers' clothes are still very inefficient because data collection is still using paper and handwritten. When the customer comes to hand over the goods, the recording of goods data and making notes is still using paper so that when the data is stored or archived, the data is prone to loss or damage which could result in negligence or natural disaster. In addition, financial statements can also be miscalculated. Transaction systems that are still manual and still not optimal have found problems such as accumulation of records and reports, slow information flow, slow data retrieval process and difficult transaction report recap. To overcome this problem, a laundry management information system is needed that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Klin En Klin Laundry business. The purpose of this research is to produce a web-based software application using the PHP programming language and MySQL database to design a Laundry Management System. The result of this design is to produce a Web-based application that can be a medium of information to help laundry service businesses in managing their management

Abstract

One of the tasks LPPM Universitas Harapan Medan is to accommodate and monitor activities of the Real Work Lecture reports for groups of students who have carried out RWL activities. Groups of students who are/have implemented services learning activities required to make a report done per group. In the reporting process, each group is required to conduct the counseling process RWL report to the Field Supervisor, which has been designated by the LPPM and Study Programs. The process of guiding the RWL report cannot run smoothly and on time if the busy schedule between lecturers and students does not match the time to meet, so this obstacle can make the problems that exist in writing reports cannot be solved as soon as possible. In this study, researchers have developed a system by applying the Model-V process. The V-model is an extension of the Waterfall model because the stages of development are the same, which distinguishing the Waterfall model in a linear manner. This study aims to build RWL report monitoring application by implementing a V-model based on a web service. For business processes the system uses UML. The results of the study make it easier for LPPM, RWL Student groups and Field Supervisors to carry out the process of guiding the RWL report.

Abstract

Live chat applications have become an attraction for smartphone users. Live chat application users can communicate with fellow users without any time and distance restrictions. So that it can make it easier for users to communicate between fellow users. The development method in building a Web-Based Sewing Service Promotion with the Live Chat Feature Okta Tailor Case Study is based on the agile method. The agile method consists of planning, namely the plan for making the system, requirements analysis, which is to analyze the making of the application content, design, namely to describe the appearance of the application, testing, namely for application testing, and documentation, namely to document the application results. The purpose of this research is to produce Web-Based Sewing Services Promotion with Live Chat Feature for Okta Tailor Case Studies, with the application of this system to expand the sewing service business on Okta Tailor.

Abstract

At present, in the world of work there are three generations that color the workforce, namely baby boomers born in 1943-1960, generation X 1961-1979 and generation Y 1980-1994. Generation Y is an individual born in the development of information technology and a high level of education so that Generation Y is very achievement-oriented, hard-working and will strive to achieve success but Generation Y has a tendency to move around at work, lack of work commitment so that this causes companies to experience difficulties in determining the performance commitment of generation Y if this continues it will have an impact on the sustainability of a company, so we need a certainty factor method to determine the work commitment of generation Y. from research that has been done by taking one sample by applying the certainty factor method produced that one of the Y generation has a commitment to the feeling of love in an organization that raises the willingness to stay and foster social relationships and appreciate the value of relationships with the organization because it has become a member or ganisasi (Affective commitment)

Abstract

In some parts of the education system, there are teaching and learning activities involving students and lecturers. And when doing some teaching and learning activities, some progress of student learning occurred which are grades obtained from the student’s examination. Presently, the student’s grades are processed conventionally which is done by each lecturer manually using pen, paper and a calculator. Thus, the Department will have difficulties managing the student’s grades given by the lecturer and the results will not be optimal either.  If done manually, the lecturer must calculate the grade for each student one at a time. Moreover, students will have to wait for a long time finding out for their grades. It will take a long time and requires high precision for accurate calculations if the student’s grades processed manually. A PIECES Analysis, which is analyzing performance, information, economics, applications, and services, is used in analyzing student information system of the Information System Department STTH-Medan. The purpose of this study is to find out the data processing system and the data needed for developing STTH-Medan Information System. Abstract

The development of computer technology nowadays has progressed very rapidly in line with the development of computer and telecommunication technology, making communication more open and information exchange faster, however not all developments in communication technology have had a positive and beneficial impact. One of the negative impacts of technological development is the existence of wiretapping, with the presence of encrypted tapping, the security aspect in exchanging important information. The problem of sending messages (e-mail), be its agencies, education, government, private and others, must contain confidential information, so encryption of the message is required. Encryption of information is important to support information security, because it can guarantee message security. Therefore, encryption is needed by users who have information that is guaranteed its confidentiality. One way to store data sent via email is to use cryptography. The Affine Cipher is an extension of the Caesar Cipher which multiplies the plaintext by a value and adds a shift. Creating an application by implementing cryptography using the Affine Cipher is one way of maintaining the confidentiality of information and is very important. The results obtained from this research are that the application created can change the content of existing messages and can store information that is available when sending e-mails. The process of encoding messages using the Affine Cipher algorithm is successfully used to hide secret messages into text. Keywords: Implementation, algorithm, affine cipher, data

Abstract

AbstrakGame Edukasi adalah salah satu jenis media yang digunakan untuk memberikan pengajaran, menambah pengetahuan penggunanya melalui suatu media unik dan menarik. Game edukasi dibuat dengan tujuan spesifik sebagai alat pendidikan, untuk belajar mengenal warna, mengenal huruf dan angka, matematika, sampai belajar bahasa asing.Game dengan tujuan edukasi seperti ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu media edukasi yang memiliki pola pembelajaran learning by doing. Berdasarkan pola yang dimiliki oleh game tersebut, pemain dituntut untuk belajar sehingga dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Status game, instruksi, dan tools yang disediakan oleh game akan membimbing pemain secara aktif untuk menggali informasi sehingga dapat memperkaya pengetahuan dan strategi saat bermain. Metode Research and Development metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau dalam bahasa inggris nya Research and Development adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji ke efektifan produk tersebut.penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi dan menguji ke efektifan media pembelajaran tersebut.Kata Kunci: Game Edukasi,Pengenalan Hewan Laut,Dalam Bahasa Inggris,Metode R&D.  Abstract              Educational Game is one type of media that is used to provide teaching, increase the knowledge of its users through a unique and interesting media. Educational games are made with a specific purpose as an educational tool, to learn to recognize colors, recognize letters and numbers, mathematics, and learn foreign languages. Games with educational purposes like this can be used as an educational medium that has a learning by doing pattern. Based on the pattern possessed by the game, players are required to learn so that they can solve existing problems. Game status, instructions, and tools provided by the game will guide players actively to explore information so that they can enrich their knowledge and strategies while playing. Research and Development methods Research and development methods or in English Research and Development is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products.
