Abstract

Waste management based on community participation that aims to implement the 4Rp concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Participation) has been implemented through the Regional Partnership Program (PKW) of Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, by the PKW Team from the University of Lampung, in collaboration with Polinela and Government of Way Kanan District through the Environmental Services. This program was performed to manage the agricultural waste independently by the communities to reduce the amount of midden that must be managed at the landfill and it can provide an economic added value. These activities have been carried out in two villages, namely Way Tuba Village – Sub-district of Gunung Labuhan and Campur Asri Village, Sub-district of Baradatu, which have potency of the agricultural waste in Way Kanan District. In general, the results of these activities have increased community participation and knowledge of the paradigm of waste and waste management with the concept of the 4 Rp, procurement of fertilizers/compost independently, as well as being a pioneer of waste management based on active participation from the community. In addition, this program has provided solutions to the community to produce fertilizers/compost independently, either to be used for their own needs or sold to meet fertilizer/compost needs in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

An experiment was done at Cage Rabbit Trial and Laboratory of Animal Husbandry, Departement of Animal Husbandry, The State of Politechnic Lampung. The first experiment began in 10th until 30th July 2010. The second experiment began 27th August until 15 September 2010.The first experiment were conducted to know some treatments to made cassava leaf meal silage. The second experiment to know dry matter, crude protein, and crude fibre digestible on using of the cassava leaf meal silage in male local rabbit. The treatment and method two steps by used: In experiment 1, P1= 0% corn meeal, P2= 5% corn meal, P3= 10% corn meal, and P4=15% corn meal. In experiment 2, These used 16 male local rabbit. The rabbit were placed randomizely in battery cage. Parameter measured were : dry matter, crude protein , and crude fibre digestile. The nutrient digestibility determined by Harris (1983). The result of this experiment showed that ensilage processing increased quality of nutrien conten and its digestibility on local rabbit.. Keywords : Silage of cassava leaf meal, local rabbit, digestibility

The experiment began in 10th June until 10th August 2009. The experiment were conducted to know the Effect of substitution soy bean meal with cassava leaf meal in ration on broiler performance. The treatment and method by used was consist four treatments. These used 96 birds as replication. The birds were placed randomizely divided into 4 treatments and 6 replications, that treatment were R0= 0%, R1= 3,75%; R2 = 7,50%, and R3 =11,2,5% cassava leaf meal on ration. Parameter measured were : feed consumtion, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. The experiment was done based on Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and test significance the continued Duncan Multiple Range. The result of this experiment showed that the substitution of soy bean meal with cassava leaf meal can be used to 7,50% in broiler ration. Key words : cassava leaf meal, soy bean meal, broiler

Abstract

The experiment was done at the Cage Poultry Trial and Laboratory of Animal Husbandry, Departement of Animal Husbandry, the State of Politechnics of Lampung. The experiment began in July to September 2013. The experiment was conducted to determine the productivity and broiler carcasses using cassava leaves-based rationwithan addition of black cumin. The experiment was done in a Completely Randomized Design and tested for significance with a Duncan Multiple Range. Eighty four final stock CP 707 broiler chicks were used and the birds were placedrandomlyafter divided into 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were R0 (without cassava leaf meal nor black cumin), R1 (7.5% cassava leaf meal only) R2 (7.5% cassava leaf meal + 1% black cumin), R3 (7.5% cassava leaf meal + 2% black cumin) R4 (15% cassava leaf meal only), R5 (15% cassava leaf meal + 1% blackcumin), and R6 (15% cassava leaf meal + 2% black cumin). Parameter measured were feedconsumtion, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio, carcass weight, and percentage of carcass weight. The result of this experiment showed that addition of 1% black cumin in adiet containing 7.5% cassava leaf meal improved the productivity and broiler carcass. Keywords: broiler chicks, cassava leaf meal, black cumin, productivity, carcass.

Abstract

The research was conducted at the Lampung State Polytechnic cage from November to December 2019. This study aims to analyze. The Effect of Adding Leaf Flour (Salvinia molesta )in the Ration on the Performance of Peking Duck. The research method is descriptive method      . data collected by taking samples from P0 and P1 with a number of 40 each at the end of maintenance. data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The variables observed were ration consumption resulting in an average P0 (10,213 gr) lower than P1 (10,220 gr), body weight gain P0 (1,324.27 gr) higher than P1 (1,241.53 gr), ration conversion P0 (7,870 ) lower than P1 (8,680), mortality P0 (11%) higher than P1 (3 %)

Abstract

Carrot waste is carrots with criteria that are not suitable for human consumption. Carrot waste contains various vitamins and minerals. This study aims to evaluate the quality of broiler chicken carcass. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments given included R0 = 0% additional feed from carrot waste; R1 = 0.5% additional feed waste carrots; R2 = 1% additional feed from carrot waste; R3 = 1.5% additional feed from carrot waste. The data obtained were tested for normality and homogeneity before being analyzed using the Analysis of Variants. If there is a difference then proceed with Duncan's multiple distance test. The results showed that the best results were given additional feed of carrot waste at the level of 1% to increase carcass weight and carcass percentage, carcass color would increase along with the increase in the level of carrot waste addition.

Abstract

Efforts to apply embryo transfer reproductive technology to community breeders in Lampung Tengah Regency involve inseminators who have an interest and influence in the success of embryo transfer. This study aims to analyze the inseminator response to the implementation of embryo transfer in Lampung Tengah Regency by looking at the influence of age (X1), education level (X2), work experience (X3), knowledge (X4), means of transportation (X5), and facilities and infrastructure (X6) owned by the inseminator of the inseminator's response to the application of embryo transfer in Lampung Tengah Regency. The analytical method used is simple linear regression analysis of 28 inseminators on duty in Lampung Tengah Regency. The results showed that the more productive the inseminator age (old), the lower the inseminator response. Meanwhile, the level of education, work experience, knowledge, means of transportation, and facilities and infrastructure owned by the inseminator in Lampung Tengah did not have a significant positive effect on the inseminator's response regarding the implementation of embryo transfer in Lampung Tengah Regency, Lampung Province.
