Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the principal academic supervision in increasing teachers teaching performance junior high school 2 Ketahun, including lesson plan, learning prosess,learning evaluation, academic supervision technigue of the principal. This study used deseriptive qualitative method and the technique of data collecting are interview and observation. the subjeet of study are the principal and teacher. The result showed that the teachers have implemented the principal supervision item in increasing teachers teaching performance at junior high school 2 ketahun as the characteristic of the school.

Abstract

The general purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of principal instructional leadership and job satifaction toward teacher job performance at Junior High School in Ulok Kupai District Bengkulu Utara Regency. The method of the research used survey. The result showed (1) the principal instructional leadership gave effect which significance toward teacher job performance at Junior High School in Ulok Kupai District Bengkulu Utara Regency.  (2) the job satisfaction gave sinificance effect toward teacher job performance at Junior High School in Ulok Kupai District Bengkulu Utara Regency (3) the principal instructional leadership and job satisfaction gave significance effect toward teacher job performance at Junior High School in Ulok Kupai District Bengkulu Utara Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is generally to describe the implementation of supervision approach teaching with the directive, non-directive, and collaborative carried principals to teachers in Public Junior High School Number 13 Lubuklinggau. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were the source of reference data, the principal, vice curriculum, and teachers. The data collection technique used is through interview, observation and documentation. Step analysis of data through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a quantitative study which aims to determine the effect of thunder in the profession on the professional competence of chemistry teachers, the influence of self-development on the professional competence of chemistry teachers and the influence of teacher attitudes on the profession and self-development on the professional competence of chemistry teachers. The method used is descriptive quantitative method using simple regression analysis and multiple regression. The results of this study are that there is a positive and significant influence both partially and jointly between the independent variables, namely teacher attitudes towards the profession and self-development on the professional competence of chemistry teachers. Keywords: Attitudes of teachers to the profession, Self-development and Professional Competence of Chemistry Teachers

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the management of guidance and counselling program in public senior high school number 8 in south Bengkulu regency. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. The conclusion of this research are: 1). the program of guidance and counselling in public senior high school number 8 in south Bengkulu regency is arranged completely, and consist of annual program, semester program, monthy program, weekly program and daily program; 2). the application of guidance and counselling program are consist of some services: orientation, information, placement and distribution, the mastery of content, individual counselling,  guidance and counselling in group, consultation, and mediation; 3). the result of program evaluation, there is un complete program is guidance and counselling in group; 4).  the follow up of the evaluation result is to complete the program and make priority of the program.

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to describe the implementation of strategic management in the development of teachers in the field of learning in  Senior High School Purwodadi Musi Rawas Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects principal, vice principal areas of the curriculum, teachers, and supervisors. Data collection methods are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research, the principal implementing strategic management in coaching teachers in the field of teaching with the intention that the problems of learning that teachers face daily in the implementation of PBM in the school does not drag that could result in the ineffectiveness of the learning outcomes achieved, so that students disadvantaged , With the coaching staff through the application of strategic management expected by the principal to have all the advantages that exist in each teacher can develop in a sustainable manner so well that makes the profession and their competencies are also well developed that will result directly affects the quality of the PBM and the quality of learning student at the school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe existence of Islamic High School as institute of medium education institution in the perspective performance of the scientific and competitive. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive study. The subject of the this research were the Head of the Regional Office of The Religious Ministry of Bengkulu Province, principal of Public Islamic High School 2 Bengkulu City, vice principals, and teachers. The data was obtained with observation, documentation, and interview. Then the collected data analyzed by qualitative technique as proposed by Miles and Huberman that is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the existence of Islamic High School viewed from the vision and mission, national education standard, SWOT, competitiveness, road map, and the role of Regional Office of Ministry of Religion open to the progress of science and technology and competition among other educational institutions equivalent. The conclusion of the research shows that the existence of Islamic High School not fully able to respond to the progress of Science and Technology and compete with other equivalent educational institutions, but should be a serious concern for the existence of Islamic schools can be maintained. Researchers suggest that all educators and education work more maximally in showing the existence of islamic high school in perspective of science and technology progress and competitiveness, so as to compete with other equivalent educational institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this  research was to describe the correlation between work stress and achieved motivation with teacher’s perfomance at the junior high school teachers at Manna East of Bengkulu. The method of research was correlational. The data was collected by using questionnaire, the data analysis was correlation, linear regression, and double regression to examine the hypotesis. The results of this research were (1) There was significant relation between work stress and teachers perfomance; (2) There was significant relation between achieved motivation and teachers perfomance; (3) There was together relation between work stress and achieved motivation to the teachers perfomance. According to the first and the second hyphothesis, it was conversed to the third hyphotesis, it was estimated that work stress followed by achieved motivation will increase the teachers perfomance.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the implementation of transformational leadership in Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. Especially, this research describes: (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership; (2) visions of principal’s transformational leadership; (3) implementation of aspects of transformational leadership; and (4) obstacles faced in the implementation of aspects of transformational leadership.The design/method of this research is descriptively qualitative. The subject are personels of Secondary/Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. The techniques of collecting the data in this research were used interviews, observations, and study of documents. The data was analyzed by elaborating data, displaying data, and making conclution. The results show that (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership is good and important; (2) visions of school principal are good and qualified; (3) the implementation of transformational leadership covers all four aspects (and all four aspects of transformational leadership were implemented in all six school administration aspects, namely budget, facilities, curriculum, students, personnels, and public relation; and (4) the obstacles faced in the implementation are non-technical and technical ones.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to discribe how the general objective of the research is to describe the coordination between principal and supervisor in the implementing of instructional supervision is in the Elementary Schools of Karang Tinggi Sub District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The result of the study The result of the research showed that the coordination between principal and supervisor in the implementation of instructional supervision. That can be seen from the absence of coordination between principal and supervisor in the arrangement of instructional supervision planning program, there is no coordination intensity between principal and supervisor in the implementation of academic supervision, the coordination of monitoring and evaluating between principal and supervisor has not run optimally, and there is no coordination of result follow-up between principal and supervisor in the implementation of academic supervision.
