Abstract

SCUBA diving is one of the studies that must be mastered by students taking Diving courses in the UNTIRTA Sports Science Study Program, especially students who will take the Sport Tourism concentration. This research aims to develop SCUBA learning video as an alternative long distance learning media for diving courses in Pandemic Covid-19. Procedure in this research used refers to the 4D model with 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments used in this research include observation sheet, media expert validation questionnaire, material expert validation questionnaire, small-scale & large-scale trial questionaire. Participants in this research activity were 3 media experts, 3 material experts (diving instructur ADSI, POSSI, & SSI), 9 students for small-scale trials and 26 students for large-scale trials. Students who conduct small-scale and large-scale trials are students of the 2020 class of sports science study program who will take diving course. The data collection techniques in this research were carried out by recapitulating and analyzing the results of the questionnaire from all participants so that the final product was obtained. Based on the results of the assessment of media experts, material experts, the results of small-scale and large-scale trials, SCUBA learning video is in the very worth it (feasible) category in terms of media and material aspects so that it can be an alternative distance learning media for diving courses, especially the subject SCUBA Diving.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the profile of vital lung capacity of professional divers in Ujung Kulon National Park. This type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The research subjects in this study is all population of professional divers in Ujung Kulon National Park, totaling 24 people with varying age categories, ranging from 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, to 50-59 years. The data collection techniques in this research were carried out by interviewing, questionnaire, and lung vital capacity tests usingĀ  spirometer. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive analytic. Based on the results of the spirometry test, it is known that only 12.5% of professional divers have FVC %pred, FEV1%pred and the FEV1 / FVC ratio are in the normal category, two people in the 30-39 year age range, and one person in the age range. 50-59 years. Another 87.5% experienced have restriction and obstruction symptoms. The degree of restriction and obstruction disturbance experienced by divers also varies according to age range category.

Abstract

The research aims to determine of feasibilty a biology instructional media on the immune system as learning resources and reveal the effect of the developed instructional media on the learning interest and concept understanding of SMA N 1 Godean. This study was a research and development referring to the 4-D Model. The product testing consisted of the Alpha test (media & subject matter expert, biology teachers), and Beta test through two phases, namely small group testing, and large group testing. The data of Alpha and small group testing were analyzed by using the descriptive analysis technique. The large group testing were analyzed by using the t test. The product is in the eligible category as learning resources. The results of the t test show that biology instructional media on the immune system can improve of student learning interest and concept understanding.

Abstract

The construct2 software is an HTML5 based Game Builder Tool. Construct2 can be used in the development of biology learning media assisted by construct2 or HTML5 to improve critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) which is accommodated from Sugiyono (2008) which was developed according to the conditions and situations. The research data instruments consist of assessment instruments by validators (material, language, and media), and media-based questionnaires based on teacher and student responses. The research data is in the form of media data validation from a team of experts, the results of the virtual laboratory media feasibility test, and the results of the learning media effectiveness test. The research population consisted of 5 SMA 1 BELO classes consisting of IPA 1, IPA 2, IPA 3, IPA 4 with a total of 130 students. The research subjects consisted of 67 students from Senior High School Negeri 1 Belo, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The result of the research is an application-based virtual laboratory application that can be programmed using Construct2 or HTML5 software. The results of the validity test according to experts ranged from 97%, while the exact location was 87%. The implications of this research are expected to be able to contribute to researchers, practitioners, to be able to optimize construction in making 3-dimensional virtual laboratory media

Abstract

Pokdarwis is one of the spearheads of tourism which plays an important role in promoting tourist destinations and providing education related to these tourist destinations in the local area. The lack of knowledge and diving skills of Pokdarwis members, as well as the limited facilities and infrastructure that can be used to improve their diving skills is one of the reasons for the implementation of community service activities entitled Basic diving training for Community Based Tourism (Pokdarwis) in Pandeglang Regency. This activity uses the method of observation, interviews, training, and mentoring. This training activity was attended by 20 participants from the Pokdarwis of Pandeglang Regency. The results of this activity indicate that there are differences in the mean pretest and posttest scores, where the posttest score is greater than the pretest score. As many as 80% of the participants successfully carried out the SCUBA equipment installation procedure properly. 90% of participants were able to do the Giant Step Entry procedure well and 75% of the participants were able to do the Back Roll Entry procedure well. And finally, as many as 60% of the participants could do mask clearing well.
