Abstract

Keluhan utama  TV lokal adalah tentang keberadaan Lembaga Penyiaran Televisi Lokal yang kurang bisa bersaing dengan dengan televisi nasional. Hal tersebut didukung oleh data dari  AGB Nielson tentang prilaku khalayak menonton TV lokal hanya 11%.Artinya kesempatan TV lokal untuk menarik penonton lokal hanya 10% dari 100%  program siaran nasional.Sehingga pembagian kue iklan alih alih tetap bermuara di pusat Ibu kota provinsi. Temuan AGB Nielson ini seolah menjadi “momok” bagi TV lokal yang merasa mereka dirugikan. Akibatnya mereka berdalih bahwa ini semua karena hasil riset dengan metode kuantitatif inilah yang menyebabkan mereka tidak kebagian kue iklan sehinngga kurang bisa memproduksi progam lokal dan ketersediaan SDM yang kurang handal. Keberagaman program acara televisi swasta Surabaya sudah dipenuhi oleh 3 televisi yaitu Arek TV, BC TV dan MHTV, dimana ke 3 televisi ini mampu memproduksi program acaranya sendiri dan benar-benar mengakat kearifan budaya  lokal Surabaya. Tetapi pada 4 televisi yang lain yaitu MNTV,SCTV,RCTI dan TV ONE belum mampu menyediakan program acara yang merupakan kebutuhan masyarakat Surabaya. Hal itu disebabkan menurut nara sumber dari masing-masing lembaga penyiaran tersebut, membutuhkan biaya produksi yang cukup besar.

Abstract

Komunikasi tentu terjadi dalam setiap keluarga. Komunikasi keluarga dan komunikasi antar pribadi yang terjalin dengan baik akan mempengaruhi individu dalam menjalani kehidupan di lingkungan masyarakat. Bentuk pengasuhan orang tua kepada anak dapat dipengaruhi oleh bagaimana pola komunikasi yang terbentuk.. Pada masa pandemi yang berdampak pada semua bidang menjadikan sebuah permasalahan baru bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya kenaikan pernikahan dini yang signifikan sebanyak 100 persen di Kabupaten Kediri ketika pandemi Covid 19.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi antara orang tua dengan remaja yang melakukan pernikahan dini saat pandemi di Kabupaten Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam. Teori yang digunakan yaitu pola komunikasi menurut Braumrind dan juga teori atribusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pola komunikasi authoritarian (otoriter) terjadi pada anak remaja yang melakukan pernikahan dini akibat perjodohan yang dilakukan oleh orang tuanya. Sedangkan penerapan pola komunikasi permissive (membebaskan) terjadi pada pernikahan dini yang dilakukan anak remaja yang disebabkan kehamilan diluar nikah akibat kurangnya pengawasan orang tua serta anak yang tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi sehingga memutuskan untuk melakukan pernikahan dini akibat keinginan dan keputusan dirinya sendiri. Kata Kunci : Pola Komunikasi, Pernikahan Dini, Pandemi Covid 19

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 sangat berpengaruh dalam perekonomian Indonesia pada tahun 2020 termasuk Usaha Menengah Kecil dan Mikro (UMKM). Untuk mensiasatinya, para pelaku UMKM melakukan pemasaran online menggunakan sosial media yang mampu menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas dengan biaya operasional yang minim. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana respon dan pengalaman pelaku UMKM lokal dalam penerapan Sosial Media Marketing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian bahwa sebagian besar para pelaku UMKM merupakan generasi X dengan tahun kelahiran 1965-1980 berlatar belakang pendidikan yang rendah cenderung kesulitan menyesuaikan diri dengan teknologi khususnya pada masa pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan segala sesuatu serba online. Mereka tidak memiliki skill desain dan tidak mengerti bagaimana teknik foto produk yang menarik dan memiliki nilai jual. Kesimpulan penelitian ini para pelaku UMKM merupakan generasi X kesulitan untuk belajar menyesuaikan diri dengan teknologi khususnya pada masa pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan segala sesuatu serba online.

Abstract

Pengguna internet tiga tahun terakhir telah bergeser pada usia anak dan remaja mendominasi sebagai pengguna internet terbesar. Ironisnya mereka tersebut tidak tahu resiko menggunakan internet. Sehingga banyak anak yang menjadi korban internet. Selain itu juga banyak orang tua khususnya kaum ibu yang tidak memahami internet sehingga mereka hampir tidak ada komunikasi dan control terhadap anak remajanya ketika menggunakan internet.. Sebagaimana yang telah banyak diberitakan di media massa, banyak remaja, khususnya remaja putri yang menjadi “korban” dari situs jejaring sosial ini dan banyak anak yang telah menjadi ”pecandu” internet seperti game online sehingga mengganggu kehidupan anak sekarang ini. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah penelitian untuk menemukan pola pendampingan Ibu terhadap anak remajanya pada saat menggunakan internet di mana akan terus berkembang. Sehingga diharapkan anak bisa terhindar dari dampak buruk internet dan dapat menggunakan internet secara sehat. Dalam psikologi bahwa ibu berperan sebagai pendidik, pengarahan, dorongan dan pertimbangan bagi perilaku anak serta membentuk perilaku anak. Sebagaimana dikatakan dalam Computer-Mediated-Communication Theory bahwa computer telah mengubah bentuk hubungan social manusia. Hal ini membawa konsekuensi secara social dan cultural dalam kehidupan manusia. Technological Cultural Theory menyatakan bahwa teknologi akan membawa perubahan nilai dan budaya dalam kehidupan manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan Ibu pada Anak ketika menggunakan internet terdiri dari tiga aktivitas yaitu menerapkan peraturan dalam menggunakan internet, melakukan mediasi akif, dan melakukan kegiatan online bersama.

Abstract

From the emergencies of COVID-19, the government made a policy of learning from home including lectures. But in its procurement, online lectures have many notes, especially from students as one of the online lecturers part. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students in Surabaya about online lectures when the COVID-19 pandemic. The Surabaya study is a research location because Surabaya is the second largest city after Jakarta which has the highest COVID-19 case in East Java Province. Researchers use the theory of Kenneth K. , Edward M. , Judy C. Pearson and Paul E. Nelson in (2008) about the stages of the process of perception, namely stimulation (sensation), attention, and interpretation. The method used is qualitative. The informants in this study were active students at the 10 best universities in East Java according to . In addition to using interview techniques, researchers also made observations on the 10 university's official social media accounts. As a result, students in Surabaya perceived that online lectures during a pandemic were good enough to reduce the spread of the corona virus. But in its implementation, students feel less satisfied with several aspects, one of which is the online learning support facilities provided by the campus such as the internet quota, even though the intensity of the assignments is greater than face-to-face lectures.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is currently a significant polemic in various countries; one of the areas affected is the aviation sector. Juanda International Airport, which is included in this sector, has not been spared the impact caused by the pandemic. Therefore, people who want to take a flight need to find out the information and requirements before leaving. There are not infrequently consumers who complain about this through social media or call centers. This study aims to determine the response and strategy given by Juanda Airport Public Relations to bridge consumer complaints. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with taking informants using the purposive sampling method. As a reference in the research theory, the Organization-Public Relationship (OPR) consists of four dimensions: control mutuality, trust, satisfaction with a relationship, and commitment to a relationship. This study was conducted to determine Juanda Airport's attitude or public relations strategy in bridging consumer complaints during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of the activities carried out by public relations at Juanda Airport was following the OPR theory, and in responding to consumer complaints on social media, public relations always prioritized a humanist and persuasive approach, to create relationships and responses between humans, not results from robots

Abstract

This pandemic has brought changes to many businesses, one of which is how start up business grows in number. Jobhun which was originally the only startup platform in the field of skills development in Surabaya, now has many competitors. In addition, Jobhun's existence will also be threatened if Jobhun is not able to face startup competition in this pandemic era. Hence, companies need a public relations team to deal with the very tight competition between startup companies. How a company deals with some issues reflects the quality of their Public Relations. With this background, the purpose of this research is to investigate the strategy performed by Jobhun Public Relations in facing competition and maintaining existence during the covid19 pandemic. The type of this research is qualitative research with its methodology to collect the data is in-depth interview. The participant of this study is Jobhun's public relations and marketing team. The result of this study shows that to face Public Relations competition, not only they conduct online skills training classes, but they also collaborate with Mentors, company HRD, student organizations, partnerships and also competitors. In this collaboration, they create content which is then consulted to Jobhun’s marketing team. In order to maintain its existence, Jobhun continues to innovate and open internships. The conclusion of this research shows that the strategy they use is effective which is indicated by the increase in their income and followers of social media.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that influence teenager women Muslims (muslimah) of K-Pop fans' behavior in Surabaya regarding impulsive buying, the role of Twitter in eliciting their impulsive buying behavior, and to comprehend their under­standing about the impact of impulsive buying as well. Using a virtual ethnographic approach, the findings have revealed that that impulsive buying behavior was influenced by friendship and the convenience facilities provided by Twitter related to informa­tion and promotions about K-Pop merchandise. This gave rise to a new culture of impulsive buying. However, teenager Muslim women of K-Pop fans are actually aware that impulsive buying behavior violates religious norms. Therefore, their behavior in purchasing K-Pop merchandise is based on rational choices.

Abstract

A company can use issue management theory as a solution to overcome problems in the form of negative issues. Last August, KFC was hit by the issue of pork in its food content. This study discusses how KFC designs strategies to address these issues. This strategy also includes how issue management is implemented by KFC. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques of interviews and supported by literature review. To determine the research informants, the researchers chose the Operational Teams at KFC Outlets in Surabaya-Sidoarjo with the consideration they understood the issue from both sides, both from the KFC side and from the consumers. The result of this study is that KFC rejects all issues that say its food contains pork. KFC has also carried out the issue management stage by clarifying the rumors and strengthened by a statement from the MUI and a halal certificate.

Abstract

International Cultural Center (ICC) Pandaan is one of the resorts and tourist attractions located in Pandaan, East Java. As a resort and tourist attraction, ICC Pandaan has goals to be achieved and the value of benefits provided to its visitors. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic, ICC Pandaan experienced a decrease in the number of visitors, so ICC implemented a strategy to survive during this pandemic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques conducted through interviews and observations. The result of this research is that ICC Pandaan applies the Three Ways Strategy concept which is carried out effectively by seeking to give messages to the audience by starting to dive into the digital realm, where there has been a rapid increase during the pandemic.
