Abstract

Mutu dari ikan tuna yang didaratkan di PPS Bungus sangat tergantung dari proses penanganannya mulai dari penangkapan sampai didaratkan dan dibongkar untuk dijual ke agen atau perusahaan penampung.  Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui proses penanganan ikan tuna sirip kuning yang didaratkan di PPS Bungus Kota Padang Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan melakukan pengamatan, wawancara dan observasi langsung ke lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses penanganan  ikan tuna sirip kuning di PPS Bungus melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: 1) Penanganan diatas kapal 2) Penanganan saat bongkar muat dari dalam kapal 3) pemeriksaan oleh petugas 4) pengangkutan ke PT. Dempo 5) penanganan di PT DempoKata Kunci:  Padang, Penanganan, PPS Bungus, Tuna Sirip KuningThe quality of tuna landed at PPS Bungus is very dependent on the handling process, from catching to landing and unloading to be sold to agents or collection companies. The purpose of this study was to determine the handling process of yellowfin tuna landed at PPS Bungus, Padang City, West Sumatra. The method used in this research is a survey method by making observations, interviews and direct observations in the field. The results showed that the yellowfin tuna handling process at PPS Bungus went through several stages, that is: 1) Handling on board 2) Handling when loading and unloading from the ship 3) inspection by officers 4) transportation to PT. Abstract

Kabupaten Bungo memiliki wilayah konservasi sumberdaya hayati dan ekosistem yang disebut suaka perikanan (reservat) Lubuk Kasai, wilayah ini merupakan daerah aliran sungai batang pelepat. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan November-Desember 2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dan alternatif strategi terhadap keberadaan suaka perikanan (reservat) Lubuk Kasai di Perairan Sungai Batang Pelepat Kecamatan Pelepat Ilir Kabupaten Bungo Propinsi Jambi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat partisipasi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan kawasan suaka perikanan (reservat) Lubuk Kasai yaitu sebesar 41,30 % (kategori sedang) dan alternatif strategi yang dipilih yaitu strategi SO dengan partisipasi masyarakat yang baik dan akses jalan yang lancar akan menambahkan nilai ekonomis serta berpeluang untuk dijadikan tempat ekowisata perairan berbasis kearifan lokal. Kata Kunci:  Jambi, Kabupaten Bungo, Konservat,  Konservasi, SWOT

Abstract

Pengelolaan perikanan kurau perlu memperhatikan aspek biologi untuk keberlanjutan usaha penangkapan, mengingat produksinya terus menurun dan tingginya harga ikan kurau dipasaran.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran struktur ukuran, persentase ikan layak tangkap serta hubungan panjang dan berat ikan kurau yang tertangkap oleh beberapa alat tangkap di perairan pulau Bengkalis.  Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-September 2016 di Pambang Pesisir Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau dengan metode experimental fishing.  Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu hubungan panjang dan berat serta frekuensi sebaran panjang.  Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan kurau bersifat allometrik negatif, dengan kisaran ukuran yang tertangkap pada alat tangkap jaring insang dominan berada pada 31,7-42,7 cm pada bulan Juli dan September serta kisaran 61,7-72,7 cm pada bulan Agustus.  Sedangkan ukuran ikan kurau yang tertangkap pada rawai dan pancing dominan berada pada kisaran 31,7-42,7 cm pada bulan Juli dan September serta kisaran 36,7-47,7 cm pada bulan Agustus.  Persentase ikan kurau layak tangkap pada jaring insang yaitu untuk jantan 100% layak tangkap dan 72% layak tangkap untuk betina.  Sedangkan ikan kurau yang layak tangkap pada rawai dan pancing  untuk jantan 90% dan 44% layak tangkap untuk betina.Kata kunci: Hubungan panjang dan berat, ikan kurau, Pulau Bengkalis, ukuran layak tangkap.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the morphometrics of snakehead fish. The implementation was carried out in August – September 2021. Fish sampling was carried out in a flooded swamp in Air Gemuruh Village, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. The experimental fishing method was chosen for data collection. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and Cluster Analysis Hierarchy (CAH) analysis. The morphometrics tested were only seven characters and were compared based on gender. The results showed that morphometric male and female snakehead fish could be divided into three groups of close relationship between morphometric characters. The first group had a very similar close relationship, consisting of the characters of Mouth Opening (BM), Tail Length (PE), Body Width (LB) and Head Length (PK). The second group had a fairly similar close relationship, consisting of dorsal fin length (PSG) and fin length (PS). While the last group has a close relationship that is less similar, namely Total Length (PT). The closeness of these characters is suspected from the size (range) between characters that have a significant difference.

Abstract

Bubu is a passive fishing gear designed to catch various types of fish, crustaceans, mollusks and others, with various shapes and made of various materials. One type is a folding umbrella trap which is now widely operated in the waters of Jangkat, Jambi. The main catch target is seluang fish. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of the number of entrances (funnels) on the average catch and to determine the effectiveness of umbrella traps. The research method is experimental fishing. The results showed that there was a difference in the average catches of funnel 6 and funnel 8 traps based on the results of the calculation of T hit (2.85) T tab (2.18). Umbrella traps of funnel 6 and funnel 8 are not effective in catching seluang fish (Rasbora argyotaenia) because E 1. However, folding umbrella traps can be said to be effective in catching seluang fish when viewed from the number of catches per species, not based on target and non-target fish.

Abstract

The number of types of fishing rods in land waters makes it possible to suspect the condition and potential of fisheries by calculating the capture rate (hook rate). Research using a vertical fishing rod that is operated in the ulak river swamp, Nalo Tantan District, Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. The aim of the study was to determine the fishing rod of the straight-line vertical longline model and to analyze the catch. The research method is experimental fishing. The results showed that the vertical standard model rods' capture rate (hook rate) did not meet the standard hook rate value, with an average of 0.04 (not good). The composition of the catch is dominated by nilem fish species (O. vittatus) as much as 71% and the lowest catch of limbat fish (C. nieuhofii) as much as 2%.

Abstract

Estimating the utilization status of kurau fish resources by other methods using limited data needs to be tried, as a comparison in formulating policies. The aim of this study was to determine the utilization status of kurau fish resources through the Length-Based Spawning Potential Ratio (LB-SPR) approach in the waters of Bengkalis Island. The method used in this study was a review of kurau fish data from July to September 2016. Data were analyzed descriptively using the LB-SPR method. The results showed that the utilization status of kurau fish resources through the LB-SPR approach in the waters of Bengkalis Island was fully moderate (still in moderate condition) with an SPR of 30%, the SL50 value was greater than the Lm value (SL50Lm) so that most of the fish caught had been worth catching. This condition indicates that fishing activities are still in a safe status, but need to be controlled so that the fish caught do not get smaller. The status of the kurau fishery is still relatively good, and can be used massively, but it needs good management to avoid overfishing.
