Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim kelas, kecerdasan interpersonal dan hasil belajar matematika. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar sebanyak 2818 siswa dengan jumlah sampel 236 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan two-stage proporsional stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni: Skala iklim kelas, Skala kecerdasan interpersonal, dan Tes hasil belajar matematika. Data dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif dan analisis SEM (Structure Equation Modelling). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Variabel iklim kelas berada dalam kategori “sedang”, variabel kecerdasan interpersonal berada dalam kategori “tinggi” dan variabel hasil belajar matematika berada dalam kategori “sedang”; (2) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara iklim kelas dengan kecerdasan interpersonal; (3) Iklim kelas secara langsung berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika dengan besar pengaruh 19%; (4) Kecerdasan interpersonal secara langsung berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika  dengan besar pengaruh 25%.ABSTRACTThis research is an ex-post facto research that aims to understand the relationship between class climate, interpersonal intelligence and mathematics learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students of class VII State Junior High School in Biringkanaya District Makassar City as many as 2818 students with a sample of 236 students. The sampling technique in this study uses two-stage proportional stratified random sampling. The instruments used are: class sensitive scale, interpersonal intelligence scale, and mathematics learning achievement test. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and SEM (Structure Equation Modeling) analysis. The results showed that: (1) Class climate variables are in the "medium" category, interpersonal intelligence variables are in the "high" category and mathematics learning outcome variables are in the "medium" category; (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between class climate influence and interpersonal intelligence;(3) Class climate directly towards learning 19%; (4) Interpersonal intelligence directly directs positive towards mathematics learning outcomes with a large influence of 25%.

Abstract

Digital books are a collection of texts that utilize technology to convey information in a shorter and non-static form where digital books are able to combine sound, graphics, images, animation, and video so that the information presented is more diverse. One application that can be used in making digital books is Flipbook. Flipbook is an application for creating digital books that not only contain text but can be inserted with pictures, graphics, sound, links, and videos so that the appearance of the book becomes more attractive. This activity aims to train teachers' abilities and skills in making digital books that are designed by themselves using applications/software. Training on making digital books will be held at SMP Negeri Buti. The training activity will begin with an explanation of digital books and applications/software that can be used in making digital books, demonstrations by presenters of the stages in designing digital books, followed by the practice of making digital books using Flipbooks. The results of the training activities received a positive response from the training participants

Abstract

This research discusses several problems found in the field, studying the learning process that is still dominated by the teacher, avoiding student participation in active learning activities, increasing student motivation in learning, and increasing collaboration between students. This research was conducted in one of the State Junior High Schools located in Makassar City, Indonesia in the academic year 2017/2018 which aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of investigative group learning models. The research subjects were students of class VIII with 31 students. This class action research consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 3 meetings and 1 cycle test. Information related to student activities is collected using observation sheets and information related to student abilities is collected using tests given at the end of the cycle. Obtaining a score for cycle 1 is 70.48 with a completeness level of 70.79% and a score for cycle 2 is 76.32 with a completeness level of 87.1%. After applying learning with the investigation stage the group showed an increase in activity and the ability of students in the second cycle that was supported had reached classical completeness by 75%

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematika masih menjadi tren di dunia pendidikan saat ini. PISA merupakan salah satu studi yang mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam proses penalaran, memberikan argumen dan pemecahan masalah. Dari beberapa konten yang diukur, peneliti memfokuskan pada space and shape materi pythagoras. Pertanyaan pada penelitian ini adalah bagiamana kemampuan literasi siswa pada konten space and shape materi pythagoras. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 80% siswa berada pada level di bawah 1 dan 20% berada pada level 1. Dari beberapa indikator yang dinilai pada aspek communication menunjukkan skor rata- rata 3,13; skor komponen mathematising rata- rata 2,13; skor komponen representation rata- rata 2,33; skor komponen reasoning and argument rata- rata 2,13; skor devising strategies and solving problem 2,56; komponen using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation memperoleh skor rata- rata 3,00; dan skor rata- rata kemampuan using mathematics tools memperoleh skor 2,66. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi siswa pada konten space shape masih sangat rendahABSTRACTMathematical literacy is still a trend in the world of education today. PISA is one study that measures the ability of students in the process of reasoning, providing arguments and problem solving. From some of the content measured, researchers focus on the space and shape of pythagorean material. The question in this study is how the literacy ability of students in the content space and shape pythagorean material. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach with methods of observation, documentation and interviews. The results showed as many as 80% of students were at the level below 1 and 20% were at level 1. Of the several indicators assessed on the communication aspect showed an average score of 3.13; the average score of the mathematising component is 2.13; average component score score of 2.33; the reasoning and argument component score averaged 2.13; score devising strategies and solving problems 2.56; components using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation obtain an average score of 3.00; and the average score of ability to use mathematics tools obtain a score of 2.66. The results showed that the literacy ability of students in space shape content was still very low.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru terhadap asesmen yang berbasis literasi dan multiple intelligence serta respon guru terhadap kegiatan pendampingan yang dilakukan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi rendahnya pengetahuan guru terhadap penyusunan asesmen yang berbasis literasi dan multiple intelligence khususnya pada jenjang SMP. Metode pelaksanaan pada kegiatan ini meliputi 1) observasi yang meliputi permasalahan yang terjadi di lokasi pendampingan, 2) paparan materi dan diskusi yang melibatkan narasumber dan peserta, 3) demonstrasi meliputi pengenalan literasi dan multiple intelligence melalui contoh-contoh assessmen yang telah dipaparkan, 4) latihan terbimbing yaitu peserta merancang assessment secara langsung dengan bimbingan narasumber, 5) evaluasi program meliputi kegiatan validasi dan revisi instrumen yang telah disusun secara berkala. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dengan menggunakan angket diketahui pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru sebelum kegiatan pendampingan sebesar 43,98% yaitu dalam kategori rendah dan setelah kegiatan pendampingan sebesar 85,02% yaitu dalam kategori tinggi. Keberhasilan program dilihat dari indikator persentase peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra sebesar 41, 07%

Abstract

The Quizizz online quiz application and the application of hard work characters have an impact on student achievement, especially on geometry courses. This study aims to investigate the influence the Quizizz online quiz and the character of student hard work on student achievement in online geometry lectures. This study involved all semester 2 and 4 students majoring in mathematics education as a research sample. The instrument used was in the form of a quizizz online quiz learning questionnaire and hard work characters. The proper questionnaire is used as an instrument for collecting data through online media. The questionnaire scale used the Likert scale with the criteria of strongly agree, agree, half agree, disagree, strongly disagree. This research is a quantitative research with ex post facto research design. Student achievement data is obtained from the average cognitive value of students during their online lectures with quizizz. Initial data analysis uses normality test, classic assumption test and influence test. The results showed that the influence of quizizz on student achievement by 69%, the effect of hard work character on learning achievement by 46%, and simultaneously quizizz online quiz and hard work character can influence student learning achievement by 68%. The contribution of this study is that the application of online quiz Quizizz and the character of hard work in online learning, especially geometry, has a dominant influence on student achievement so lecturers can apply to improve the students’ achievement.

Abstract

Beliefs have been identified as an affect on the psychology of mathematics education. Additionally, representations play a paramount role in mathematics teaching and learning. However, few studies have examined prospective teachers' beliefs and their relationship to representations in problem-solving. The purpose of this study is to examine prospective mathematics teachers' beliefs and representations in solving word problems review from gender differences. This study involves 103 college students from the mathematics education department at a public university in Merauke Regency. The data were gathered using a questionnaire, a test, and in-depth interviews. A questionnaire was utilized to elicit the belief of prospective teachers. A test and interview were conducted to evoke data about participants' representations when solving word problems. The male student was found to be capable of arriving at a solution employing multiple representations. Due to the inaccurate representation constructed, the female student was unable to find the correct solution. This work implies that lecturers should heed prospective teachers' beliefs and generate representations of the focal point of classroom learning practice.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the essential skills for students in learning mathematics. This ability can be developed through teaching and learning activities using student worksheet-based cooperative model. However, these student worksheets are still rarely found in teaching and learning activities in the classroom, so this research aims to develop student worksheets based on cooperative learning models used to develop students' problem-solving abilities. The study used development research methods with ADDIE procedures, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test of the developedstudent worksheet was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Merauke, using valid, practical, and effective categories. It is collecting data through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This research produces student worksheets based on cooperative learning models to improve students' problem-solving abilities. The results of this study contribute to enriching teaching materials in the form of student worksheets for educators which can improve problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Understanding of mathematics concept is the most important resolution in learning where students not only memorize the material but can understand and apply it in their daily lives. The ELPSA learning model can improve students' understanding of concepts through learning experiences, developing communication, presenting images in the form of visualizations, symbolizing in general terms, and as the application of the knowledge that has been obtained (application). This study aims to produce a product in the form of an ELPSA-based Student Worksheet that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, effective and has the potential to improve students' conceptual understanding. The method of this research is a 4D development model which is modified into 3D (Define, Design, and Develop). data collection instruments consist of observations, questionnaires and tests. This research produces valid, practical and effective student worksheets that can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of this study indicate that the student worksheets are valid with good criteria. The student response questionnaire are 85.6% so it can be concluded that the student worksheets used are practical and can be used in learning. The effectiveness of obtaining a posttest average value of 87.06 with a percentage of 92.5% of students declared complete in learning. Student worksheets are said to be effective if student learning outcomes are declared complete. Mastery learning classically is said to be effective if it has reached 75% of the total number of students. Finally, student worksheets can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts seen from the pretest and posttest questions that have been given. Student worksheets that have been applied can be a contribution for teachers to improve students' mathematical understanding in learning.

Abstract

Analisis kesalahan adalah langkah awal yang perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui jenis dan penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan memberi informasi terkait jenis dan penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pecahan. Analisis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas VII-A SMPN 2 Martapura. Dipilih 4 subjek menjadi responden untuk mengungkap secara mendalam jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan berdasarkan banyaknya kesalahan dan mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kesalahan siswa diperoleh 34,5 % melakukan kesalahan konseptual dan 13,1 % melakukan kesalahan prosedural. Yang menjadi penyebab diperoleh bahwa (1) siswa kurang memahami konsep bilangan negatif, (2) kurang memahami konsep tentang pecahan senilai, (3) kurang memahami operasi bilangan bulat, (4) siswa kurang memahami konsep mengubah pecahan campuran ke pecahan biasa, (5) siswa tidak teliti dalam menyelesaikan soal, dan (6) siswa terburu-buru dalam menghitung
