Abstract

Masjid memiliki makna tempat bersujud bagi umat Islam, serta memiliki peranan yang sangat penting bagi umat Islam baik dari segi pelayanan ibadah dan pemberdayaan umat. Terbangunnya masjid-masjid di Indonesia pasti memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda-beda, namun ada hal yang dapat mempengaruhi terbangunnya sebuah masjid yaitu proses kreatif masing masing Presiden, pengaruh kekuasan dan budaya. Tidak hanya bangunan bangunan monument saja yang memiliki pengaruh kekuasaan dan pengalaman. Kini masjid pun bisa menjadi ekspresi dari kekuasaan orang yang diberi amanah pada masa itu. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah agar khalayak dapat mengetahui bahwasanya Presiden mempunyai kuasa dalam membangun negara dengan berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi yang dialaminya serta menghasilkan perbedaan perkembangan arsitektur yang istimewa. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan sejarah dan literatur serta pendekatan secara arsitektural yaitu mengamati dari gaya arsitektur. Hasil penulisan ini membawa kesimpulan bahwa Soekarno memiliki gagasan yang modern dan monumental dan Soeharto lebih mengusung gagasan arsitektur bernuansa lokal. Proses kreativitas seseorang tidak akan berhenti dan akan selalu berproses berdasarkan latar belakang budaya mereka berasal, pengalaman hidup yang menjadi identitas sang presiden yang berkuasa pada masa tersebut.

Abstract

This article describes a combining research innovation (in cultural heritage) with Industry 4.0 at “De Tjolomadoe” the used sugar factory building. The original name is Suikerfabriek Tjolomadoe at Malangjiwan Karang Anyar. Owned by Kanjeng Adipati Mangkunegara IV of Surakarta built in 1861. By fact, it is the only one sugar factory owned by the Javanese Royal Family during Dutch Colonial era. After Republic of Indonesia was built, it nationalized by Indonesian Government (1946) during Soekarno era (1945-1967). After held it in Adaptive Reuse in 2017 the building’s roles a new function as Convention and Heritage. By refers to a qualitative research, the study aims to finding the elements of industrial 4.0 SDGs in “De Tjolomadoe” included the museum concept. Inside the Convention and Heritage building was found an edutainment facility to accommodate the millennial age. Behind, the gigantic of sugar factory machines, dioramas, archives, miniatur models, original drawings are shows as museum collections. In the huge of “De Tjolomadoe” outdoor lanscape there are the originally of building construction by giant typo”ANNO 1928 ” in the brick wall, the Art Deco style of the Resident’s House Administrator, the Prince’s Gazebo, the Sarkara Hall as a multi-function hall, and prefecly by the beautiful Sunken Plaza. Related to industrial 4.0 SDGs they show the internet of thing (IoT) by created the Old Javanese civilization of sugar factory. Especially in The Royal Landscape’s corner there are “glow in the dark” by an artificial intelligent architecture. It shows the glory of the last Sugar Factory in Java Island during at the Colonial Era. Now, by the successfully of the Adaptive Reuse in 2017 was composed The Cultural Heritage with industry 4.0 has modified “De Tjolomadoe” to be one of the venue of the millennial visitors to create their happy times during its appreciation.

Abstract

The Nasional Gallery of Indonesia is a reputable art gallery owned by Indonesian State. It roles as the venue for exhibitions and art events on International scale. To maintain the reputation then it employed the Independent Curators to cary out exhibitions. In recent years, the phenomenon of the proffesional Fine Art Artists show the hing spirits. To enrich their international publication then they began to realize their opportunity to exhibit at this gallery. Unfortunately, the gallery building is an adaptive reuse of the Cultural Heritage Building. The National Gallery building which has a distinctive Dutch Colonial architectural style has not been optimally utilized. So, it has existence has wide limitations and space limitation that unable to accommodate such high interests. On the other hand, Jabodetabek is stands for Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi are the Greater City of Jakarta, has Cultural Heritage Buildings. There are many of architectural style of heritage buildings that has chance to be the exhibition spaces. The study is an idea to aim solutions of the availability of exhibition area in Jabodetabek to accommodate the Fine Art Artists interest of exhibiting. According to the Adaptive-Reuse of the National Gallery’s case, and by refers to the Grounded Theory Research method and Case Studies related to the Jabodetabek’s Cultural Heritage buildings. A Working Hyphotesis is Jabodetabeks’s Cultural Heritage Buildings opportunities as The National Gallery’s Satellites. The findings are the Satellite Galleries Rank, and the Properties Display recommendation based on the Cultural Heritage’s rules that can be offered to make them as the “Satellite” as well as the ICOM as the National Gallery of Indonesia’s standard.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to find how a sacred space be a part of outdoor tourist destination consisting of heritage building law and rules to respect the sacred space. Research methods: The study is based on a qualitative research by accommodating criterias of heritage building rules and considering the local architecture as base design. Findings: Sumur Batu is a heritage-listed object in Bekasi. It is a water well that believed by local peoples to be an ancestral heritage and is named Tirta Karuhun. The site is one of the Satellites of The National Gallery of Indonesia (GNI) that plays a role as an art gallery that shows artworks. Implication: The site enriches the contemporary art displays in a sacred area. The sacred place has opportunity to be a venue for art activities. It can be an outdoor tourist destination.

Abstract

Abstract : Purpose: This study is concerned with the challenge of how to creatively appreciate Soekarno the first president of Indonesia’s series of painting collections. Research methods: Based on multidisciplinary approaches it was composed of an imaginary building as well as Soekarno’s virtual art museum gallery. Findings: During his life, Soekarno (1901-1970) was fond of collecting numerous of masterpiece paintings and sculptures all of which beautified in six Presidential Palaces. By accommodating interest points in museum buildings and applying Jenck’s theory of postmodern architecture, a virtual or imaginary museum was created. A video depicting the artwork was uploaded on YouTube channel, which serves as Soekarno’s legacy. Implications: Because it is presented in cyber space, it can be easily accessed, and to be a virtual tourism.

Abstract

Purpose: Coinciding with the decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to move the capital city of Indonesia to East Kalimantan, this paper was written for the purpose of ideally designing National Gallery of Indonesia (Galeri Nasional Indonesia or GNI) which is complete/integrated, representative, artistic, and has attractiveness as a tourist spot and recreation area. Research methods: Data collection in the design uses online data collection in order to obtain site data and also existing conditions based on the results of the Nagara Rimba Nusa competition. From this, data and analysis of the design are obtained which are then processed into a design concept. Findings: The design concept of the National Gallery of Indonesia in the new capital of Indonesia in East Kalimantan is combined with the design theme from Charles Jencks resulted in a building composition based on the analysis and also the previous concept. The composition of the gallery building mass resulting from the analysis and the theme of “multivalence” produces a unique building form with various philosophical meanings. Implications: The final result of the design process produces concepts, working drawings as well as the 3D rendering of the design.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to reveal the recent architectonic design phenomena for Indonesian mosques without dome(s) and minarets. All the mosques have potential uniqueness to be tourist attractions. Research methods: The research refers to interdisciplinary methods in qualitative research of four mosques structures without a dome and/or minaret. Findings: Architectonic designs are interpreted as the desire to demonstrate the postmodern architectural spirits (zeitgeist) of the respective architects by performing anti-deterministic, self-sustaining and/or multivalent architecture. Architects do it to provoke to interpret the new interpretations of the Islamic spirit in architecture in an emotional and cognitive way. Implications: The serial of mosques without dome has been potential to be a religion journey. It has also been potential to be tourist attractions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Konservasi bangunan warisan budaya melibatkan keinginan untuk tetap menjaga kelestariannya untuk mengaitkan dengan perjalanan sejarah manusia. Di sisi lain, usia bangunan yang sudah tidak bisa dikembalikan lagi sebagaimana fungsi asalnya, memicu keinginan bagi pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan untuk memanfaatkannya secara komersial agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Situs De Tjolomadoe merupakan konservasi untuk menjaga kelestarian bekas pabrik gula Colomadu yang terletak di Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah. Situs bekas ruang industri ini telah dialihfungsikan menjadi pusat pariwisata dengan pendekatan sebagai museum dan ruang pertunjukan. Bangunan ini merupakan material culture yang berfungsi sebagai alat merunut kehidupan masyarakat kelas pekerja di masa lampau. Sebagai bangunan kolonial yang dimiliki oleh pribumi, pada ruang ini terdapat identitas masyarakat kelas pekerja yang turut menggerakkan pabrik gula Colomadu. Melalui pendekatan metodologi wacana kritis positioning, studi ini menganalisis representasi identitas pada material culture kelas pekerja yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan manusia di masa lalu dan sekarang. Abstract: Conservation of cultural heritage buildings wishes to maintain their sustainability to link with the course of human history. On the other hand, the age of a building that cannot be ridden any longer is the future of its original function, operational desires for interested parties to make use of it commercially to make it more effective and efficient. The De Tjolomadoe site is a conservation to preserve the former Colomadu sugar factory located in Karanganyar, Central Java. This former industrial space site has been converted into a tourism center with the approach of being a museum and a performance space. This building is a material culture that serves as a means of tracing the life of the worker class society in the past. As a colonial building owned by natives, in this space there is the identity of the worker class community who helped drive PG Colomadu. Through a critical positioning methodology approach, this study analyzes the material identity of the working class related to human life in the past and present.

Abstract

This research aimed to design a building for music and dance performing arts in Bogor, West Java. In order to support the local government's work program, the building is designed so that art performers can create and express the results of these works and can be enjoyed by modern and contemporary art connoisseurs. Through such a building, West Java cultural arts can be preserved and inherited. The method used in the design refers to descriptive qualitative methods and uses literature studies and precedents, surveys and field observations. This is done in order to obtain complete data, then analyze every problem that exists. The resulting design concept is a building design with a cultural and modern atmosphere that is realized through a design theme, namely Semiotic and Taste Cultures with the intention of using a characteristic style that prioritizes simplicity of form, uses ornaments and follows the shape of the building's function.

Abstract

Kebaya has been recognized as the Indonesian national costume in Jawa, Bali, Lombok and Riau. Kebaya identified by kutuburu as fleas or bef, it roles as a 'bridge' for the pairs of folding collars, and also the kebaya silhouette itself. Even though it sustains since Colonials era and well known in aboard, unfortunately kebaya was not mentioned either in the Presidential Decree in 1972 and 1990, the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 9 of 2010 related to the dress code the State Events till the Presidential Regulation in 2018. All presidential regulations focussed on men when they will attend state events. Because it is not specifically stated, the position of the kebaya is interpreted as the equivalent of other regional clothing superiors. This is not realized by the community, so it is necessary to unite aspirations in order to be easier to submit to Kebaya Goes to UNESCO as a single nomination. This is a grounded research-based in qualitative research aims to mapping all various regional tops, into one terminology that can represent one meaning as Indonesian Kebaya. The research results in the form of mapping of the ‘Indonesian Kebaya' are expected to obtain a legality as THE KEBAYA INDONESIA, so that it is meaningful to support the Kebaya Indonesia Goes To UNESCO.
