Abstract

This research aims to implement virtual reality (VR) in online learning for the Chinese language of learning. Model learning in this research is project-based learning to support media in VR. Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRAKUpaya pendidik dalam memenuhi tuntutan pendidikan abad 21 saat ini telah menghadapi tantangan berat yaitu adanya pandemi. Pola pembelajaran yang biasanya dilakukan secara tatap muka, mau tidak mau kini harus berjalan dengan cara daring. Ketidaksiapan ini menimbulkan berbagai masalah yang ditemukan di lapangan antara lain ketidaktercapaian tujuan pembelajaran, kesulitan penyampaian materi pembelajaran, kurangnya interaksi dengan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, kualitas pemberdayaan sarana dan elemen dalam pembelajaran yang terbatas, terbatasnya pengetahuan tentang penggunaan media yang sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini. Sedangkan dari prespektif siswa, terdapat masalah yang sering dihadapi ketika pembelajaran daring yaitu siswa merasa jenuh karena pembelajaran  dan penugasan yang monoton, tagihan tugas yang menumpuk, pembelajaran tidak semenyenangkan pembelajaran tatap muka, mengantuk karena terlalu lama menyimak penjelasan guru via online sinkron, dan sulitnya jaringan internet. Pelatihan perangcangan soal berbasis teknologi ini dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kecakapan guru terkait pembuatan aktifitas daring, khususnya tes dalam bentuk kuis online yang lebih menarik daripada sekedar penugasan manual. Adapun kegiatan dalam pengabdian berupa (1) pembelajaran daring; (2) masalah yang  terjadi dalam pembelajaran daring; (3) pembelajaran daring yang ideal; (4) pemanfaatan teknologi dalam tes dan latihan. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini menunjukkan, dengan aplikasi quizizz, proprofs, dan i spring suite guru dapat menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin, serta tercipta pembelajaran lebih bervariasi yang belum pernah dilakukan oleh guru sebelumnya. Kata kunci: pelatihan; pembelajaran daring; guru; bahasa mandarin. ABSTRACTEducators' efforts to meet the demands of 21st century education have faced a severe challenge: pandemics. Learning patterns that are usually done face-to-face, inevitably now have to run in an online way. This unpreparedness raises various problems found in the field including inability of learning objectives, difficulty in delivering learning materials, lack of interaction with students in the learning process, quality empowerment of facilities and elements in limited learning, limited knowledge of media use in accordance with current conditions. While from the perspective of students, there are problems that are often faced when online learning is that students feel saturated because of monotonous learning and assignments, piling up assignment bills, learning is not as enjoyable as face-to-face learning, sleepiness because it is too long to listen to the teacher's explanation via online sync, and the difficulty of the internet network. This technology-based training is done as an effort to improve the skills of teachers related to the creation of online activities, especially tests in the form of online quizzes that are more interesting than just manual assignments. The activities in this training are (1) online learning; (2) problems that occur in online learning; (3) ideal online learning; (4) utilization of technology in tests and exercises. The results of this training activity showed that with quizizz applications, proprofs, and i spring suites teachers can foster interest and motivation in Mandarin language learning, as well as create more varied learning that has never been done by teachers before. Keywords: training; online learning; teacher; mandarin.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to compare Chinese and Indonesian passive sentences. This article belongs to the description of qualitative research. The research methods used in this paper are description and contrastive analysis method.  The data source of this research is the Chinese and Indonesian references. The data of this research are in the form of descriptions of Mandarin passive sentences and Indonesian passive sentences. Data collection techniques in this research is to collect data relevant to research from various sources then arranged, analyzed, and drawn conclusions. First of all, describe the syntactic structures of Chinese and ndonesian passive sentences. Then comparing the syntactic structures of Chinese and ndonesian passive sentences to find out the difference of syntactic structures between Chinese and Indonesian passive sentences. The same point between Chinese and Indonesian passive syntactic structures is that both languages can change from active sentences to passive sentences, and sometimes there is no promoter. The difference between Chinese and Indonesian passive sentences lies in the position of the promoter; the morphology of predicate verb of Chinese passive sentences and Chinese active sentences are same, while the morphology of predicate verb of Indonesian Passive Sentences active sentences is different; and passive sentences in Indonesian can carry single verb. The predicate verb of the passive sentence in Chinese cannot be a single verb.

Abstract

This aims of research to develop an artificial intelligence-based Mandarin learning media for the millennial generation that is interesting and can be learned anywhere. The content of the latest material determined in this study is a descriptive text of the coronavirus in Indonesia. This study uses the Research and Development ADDIE design. The research data was obtained from the results of questionnaires, and validation of material and media experts. In the initial observation, it was found that 96.1% of students aged 15 – 20 years in Malang City are familiar with the use of technology in everyday life, therefore it is necessary to develop a technology-based interactive learning media that can support teachers in teaching students who are also Generation Z. After testing the material, it was found that this learning media has very good quality that score is 84. This research is also considered capable of making prototypes that have very good quality in terms of media that the total final score is 85.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to describe the application of the 汉语的语义学[Hànyǔ de Yǔyì Xué] (Chinese semantic) digital module in the semantic course of the Mandarin Language Education Study Program, State University of Malang, and (2) to describe student responses to the 汉语的语义学Chinese semantics digital module. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data sources used in this study were students of class 2020 B of the Mandarin Language Education Study Program, State University of Malang. The data from this study were obtained from the results of observations and the results of student response questionnaires. The results of observations from this study indicate that learning activities by applying the 汉语的语义学 [Hànyǔ de Yǔyì Xué] (Chinese semantic) digital module run smoothly. Students of 2020 B enthusiastically participated in all learning activities in semantic courses from beginning to end. In addition, students can also understand Chinese semantic material easily, as evidenced by students being able to complete the practice questions in the module well. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire, it can be seen that the 汉语的语义学 [Hànyǔ de Yǔyì Xué] (Chinese semantic) digital module makes students easier to learn Chinese semantic material anywhere and anytime. Students can understand Chinese semantic material quickly, because the material in this 汉语的语义学 [Hànyǔ de Yǔyì Xué] (Chinese semantic) digital module is written in Indonesian. It can be concluded that the 汉语的语义学Chinese semantic digital module is effective to be applied to the semantic course of the Mandarin Language Education Study Program, State University of Malang.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper research the 10 personal’s Chinese semi-affixes such as “人, 鬼, 汉, 师, 家, 生, 手, 星, 员, 长, among the intermediate phase of the Chinese Department State University of Surabaya in Indonesia in the form of questionnaires. At the same time, the condition of Indonesian students personal’s semi-affixes in the Chinese language was analyzed. This paper finds that within 10 Chinese personal’s semi-affixes mentioned, Indonesian students in the intermediate phases have mastered the personal’s semi-affixes: “师”, “员”, and “长”and the intermediate Indonesian students find “鬼”, “家” and “星” were most difficult. 摘要: 本文以印度尼西亚泗水国立大学中文系中间阶段中的“人、鬼、汉、师、家、生、手、星、员、长”等10个指人词缀的形式进行研究。 同时,对印尼学生汉语个人半词缀的情况进行了分析。 本文发现,在提到的10个中文指人词缀中,中级阶段的印尼学生已经掌握了指人词缀:“师”、“员”、“长”。 印尼中级学生觉得“鬼”、“家”、“星”最难。

Abstract

Penerapan Media Sosial IGTV pada mata kuliah Menyimak 1 Universitas Negeri Malang memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media sosial IGTV pada mata kuliah Menyimak 1 dan mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa terkait penerapan media sosial IGTV pada mata kuliah Menyimak 1. Dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi terutama media sosial, penggunaan media sosial IGTV diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam melatih kemampuan keterampilan menyimak. Peran serta respon mahasiswa semester 3 Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin Univer­sitas Negeri Malang menjadi sumber data serta data pada penelitian ini. Kajian ini memanfaatkan metode penelitian deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif memakai instrumen lembar angket serta lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian terhadap Penerapan Media Sosial IGTV pada mata kuliah Me­nyimak 1 Universitas Negeri Malang menyatakan bahwa penerapan sosial media IGTV sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Menyimak 1 dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam melatih kemam­puan keterampilan menyimak dan menarik perhatian serta minat mahasiswa ketika kegiatan proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Kondisi ini dapat terlihat di saat aktivitas pembelajaran tengah berlangsung, mahasiswa menunjukkan sikap antusias dan dapat memahami konten materi terkait. Penerapan media sosial IGTV sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Menyimak 1 dapat dika­takan sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif juga efisien. Media sosial IGTV bisa mahasiswa akses dimanapun serta kapanpun. Kata kunci: media sosial IGTV; keterampilan menyimak; bahasa Mandarin The Application of IGTV Social Media in The Listening 1 State University of Malang The application of IGTV social media in the Listening 1, State University of Malang, aims to describe the application of IGTV social media in the Listening 1 course and describe students’ responses related to the application of IGTV social media in the Listening 1 course. By utilizing technological developments, especially social media, the use of IGTV social media is expected to help students in practicing listening skill. The participation and response of students in the 3rd semester of the Mandarin Language Education Study Program, State University of Malang became a source of data and data in this study. This research uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach with observation sheet and questionnaire sheet as the instruments. The results of the research on the application of IGTV social media in the Listening 1, State University of Malang, stated that the application of IGTV social media as a learning medium in the Listening 1 course can help students training their listening skill and attracting students' attention and interest during teaching and learning activities. This can be seen when the process of teaching and learning activities takes place, students show enthusiastic attitude and can understand the content of related material. The application of IGTV social media as a learning medium in the Listening 1 course can be said to be an effective and efficient learning media. Abstract

The use of technology is often used to support the learning process, one of which is the German Learning language learning media. The use of learning media in the actions of the student learning process that has been carried out can store data in the form of a log database. A database log is a sequence of student learning processes that have been generated that need to be processed and analyzed to identify the same learning patterns to help lecturers provide appropriate input. This study aims to utilize a log database of German Learning learning media using the sequential pattern method to explore useful information from the student's learning process when working on German Learning language problems. The algorithm used is Sequential Pattern Discovery using the Equivalent class (SPADE). Furthermore, this study uses an algorithm to identify the same learning patterns based on student learning activities when using MONSAKUN learning media. Moreover, the learning pattern that has been successfully obtained will be carried out by extracting information to analyze the same learning pattern based on the category of the student's ability to solve problems. Based on the results of the implementation and analysis that has been carried out on 20 German Learning language questions that have been successfully processed in the MONSAKUN learning media, six patterns of learning activities that vary on each question and level are produced, namely: pattern 1, pattern 2, pattern 3, pattern 4, pattern 5, and pattern 6. Each pattern requires further feedback and responses to optimize students' learning progress in Learning German Learning

Abstract

Numerous studies indicate most of the foreign language learners experience certain level of anxiety and usually they experience anxiety in their speaking skills. Hence, this study examines the speaking anxiety in Chinese Language learning among non-Chinese Beginner learners from University Teknologi MARA (Sarawak). The questionnaire which was developed by Horwitz, Horwitz and Cope (1986) was used in this study. SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the scores. The result revealed non-Chinese beginner learners experienced speaking anxiety in Chinese language learning. Majority of them experience a moderate level of speaking anxiety in Chinese language learning. The main factor that contributed to non-Chinese beginner learners’ speaking anxiety was communication apprehension. It was followed by test anxiety and fear of negative evaluation.
