Abstract

Chika Ice Home Industry represents a home industry that manufactures ice candle, not having its own raw materials inventory system. The main cause is lack of implementation of the calculation method for optimal inventory control. This research focuses on establishing the optimum level of bookings for critically classified raw materials. Inventory method used to overcome these problems is the Economic Order Quantity-Model. To determine the approximate demand for the next one year, researchers uses Montecarlo simulation. The results of optimum reserve level based on - average demand during the Ice Chika one year ahead are as follows. EOQ for 60 kara coconut milk carton with an estimated total cost of IDR 13,280,000. EOQ for 40 cartons of condensed milk with an estimated total cost of IDR 9,169,000. EOQ 59 gallons of mineral water for an estimated total cost of IDR 3,631,000. By applying the Economic Order Quantity - The model then the company can determine the optimum level of ordering the materials needed during the production process for the foreseeable future.

Abstract

The Injection Department of PT Omni Kemas Industry has several problems in machines’ breakdown and in forecasting the customers’ demand. Besides that, the company also wants to maximize their profit. Therefore, the aim of this final assignment is to minimize the machines’ breakdown, demand forecasting and profit maximizing. This final assignment counts the frequencies and intervals of preventive replacements and inspections based on preventive maintenance method and also forecasts customers’ demand based on the smallest error generated by the methods. Then, the outputs from the preventive maintenance and demand forecasting are used in production amount optimalizing process in order to gain profit maximizing.

Abstract

PD Sandang Jaya is a garment industry that produces products by order. PD Sandang Jaya realizes how important production processes to meet product demands and increase productivity. Thus, this research goal is to increase productivity by maximizing the existing production on production floor, so that the continuity of material flow can run smoothly in the production process. This research emphasizes on the production line which is always be an outstanding problem within the company. Line balancing method is used to improve the performance of any existing production process on the production floor by calculating the standard time and regulating the flow of production process on each line. By using Helgeson Birnie-line balancing method, the efficiency of production process increases to 90,38% and 9,62% for balanced delayed. By using Helgeson Birnie, each of production lines becomes more efficient. Some changes also occur in the Ws where Ws proposal is divided into three Ws. Ndeed, it will facilitate the flow of materials to make the process works. After calculating line balancing, labor allocation should be determine to decide quantity of total production. Total production obtained in this research is 113 units per day. Thus, total production for 30 days is 3.390 units or 282 dozen increasing from 3.000 units. Base on line balancing method, labor productivity increases from 214,8 to 250.

In order to determine the policy alternatives, Non Numeric Multi Experts Multi Criteria Decision Making has been chosen to solve the problem. The research purposes is to determine policy alternative priority of production system based on experts point of view using Non Numeric ME-MCDM approach.

Abstract

The most recently problem that used to happened at PT XYZ is about production planning (Master Production Scheduling). Production planning in this company always takes so many times. To solve the problem, this research was trying to develop a disaggregate production planning. The steps were, demand forecasting, production capacity planning, and disaggregate planning. Double moving average, double exponential smoothing, and decomposition method were used to forecast demand. Least cost and stepping stone were the two methods from transportation model that were used to solve the production capacity planning. Hax and Meal method were used to solve a disaggregate planning.

Abstract

The competition in industries is increasing rapidly. This, in turn, encourages companies to define their marketing strategies appropriately. PT. X is a small-to-medium scale company which produces traditional beverage as its main product. The main problem in PT. X is the limited budget for expanding its business and for applying its marketing strategies. At the moment, the market growth is about 16,67% ,while the market relative to the competitor is about 0,07. Boston Consulting Group matrix says that this company is in a Question Mark position. Beside, according to 7 experts there are 13 strategy variations for defining the priorities. Using the Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number, we found three strategies that meaningful to be applied in this company. First by adding the new market with product diversification (72,72), second by partnering investment (71,50), and the last by breakingthrough the existing market (70,93). The first strategy is applied by defining the variation of the products packaging and creating the product's diversification. The second one is applied by proactively, searching the information about investors, who are willing to be its partners. The last one is applied by assuring the quality and avaluibilty of the products to the customers. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Persaingan di dunia industri semakin ketat seiring dengan terus meningkatnya laju pertumbuhan industri. Persaingan ini mengakibatkan setiap industri lebih jeli dalam merumuskan strategi pemasaran perusahaannya. PT. X merupakan industri minuman tradisional yang berada pada skala Industri Kecil Menengah. Permasalahan utama industri ini adalah terbatasnya dana untuk mengembangkan usaha dan menjalankan kegiatan pemasaran. Saat ini pertumbuhan pasar industri sebesar 16,67%, sedangkan pangsa pasar relatif terhadap pesaing utama adalah 0,07. Matriks Boston Consulting Group menyatakan bahwa perusahaan berada pada posisi tanda tanya. Terdapat 13 variasi yang ditawarkan untuk menentukan prioritas kepentingannya oleh 7 orang pakar. Sebanyak 3 strategi terpilih melalui Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number, yaitu menambah pasar baru melalui pengembangan produk baru (72,72), bermitra dalam investasi (71,50) dan menerobos pasar yang ada (70,93). Strategi pertama dirumuskan dengan mengembangkan variasi kemasan dan variasi produk. Strategi kedua dirumuskan dengan sikap proaktif perusahaan dalam mencari informasi mengenai investor untuk menjalin kerjasama dalam bidang investasi dengan perusahaannya. Strategi ketiga dirumuskan dengan sikap dan komitmen perusahaan untuk menjamin ketersediaan produk dan menjaga kualitas produk. Abstract

Pasta industry is a very interisting topic to be solved by production planning and inventory control approach. Because of the raw material is wheat cernel that would not found in Indonesia, so it is important to manage the inventory and production. Wheat cernel that use for pasta industry is ones who growth in sub tropics country. Indonesia is a tropic country, that is why to produce pasta, Indonesia has to import from United Stated of America or Australia.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) hingga saat ini terus meningkat, berdasarkan data dari Departemen Perindustrian (2004) dinyatakan jumlah IKM pada tahun 2002 adalah 2,55 juta unit usaha dan pada tahun 2003 meningkat menjadi 3 juta unit usaha. Berarti telah terjadi laju pertumbuhan IKM sebesar 15% pertahun. Sehingga hal ini menunjukkan tingginya persaingan yang terjadi di antara IKM. Kemampuan IKM dalam persaingan di dunia industri tidak terlepas dari  kemampuan penerapan strategi pemasaran yang digunakan. Strategi pemasaran  merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan IKM dalam meningkatkan jumlah penjualan produknya. Berdasarkan data dari Departemen Perindustrian (2004) diketahui bahwa IKM produk  barang jadi tekstil memiliki laju pertumbuhan  ekspor tertinggi, yaitu sebesar 23,49% pertahun. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa IKM  produk barang jadi tekstil merupakan suatu industri yang potensial untuk terus dijaga keberlangsungan hidupnya. Akan tetapi yang menjadi permasalahan IKM produk  barang jadi tekstil adalah lemahnya kekontinyuan keberadaan industri tersebut.  Beberapa industri yang muncul tidak mempunyai siklus hidup bisnis yang lama, salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah ketidak mampuan IKM dalam meningkatkan  penjualan karena lemahnya strategi pemasaran. Berdasarkan hal-hal tersebut diatas, maka penelitian tentang pemodelan strategi pemasaran untuk IKM sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk  menentukan kebijakan  strategi  pemasaran produk barang jadi tekstil Industri Kecil Menengah di Kota Bogor  berdasarkan  pendekatan simulasi sistem dinamik yang dibantu oleh perangkat lunak Power Simulation. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan memetakan posisi IKM  dengan menggunakan pendekatan Matriks BCG (Boston Consulting Group) dimana posisi IKM sebagai obyek penelitian tersebut akan terpetakan kedalam posisi   Bintang (Star), Sapi Perah (Cash  Cow), Tanda tanya (Question Mark) dan Anjing  (Dogs). Sebelumnya, perusahaan IKM akan ditentukan prioritasnya sebagai perusahaan yang akan dijadikan obyek penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Kemudian dilakukan formulasi strategi  pemasaran yang sesuai dengan posisi industri dapat ditentukan dengan  menggunakan strategi Bauran Pemasaran  yang dikembangkan oleh Phillip Kotler. Setelah ditetapkan masing-masing formulasi strategi bauran pemasarannya, maka langkah selanjutnya adalah memodelkan strategi pemasarannya dengan menggunakan simulasi sistem dinamis yang dikembangkan oleh Forrester, dan beberapa referensi yang diambil dari business dynamic oleh John  F. Sterman, dan membuat beberapa alternatif kebijakan strategi pemasaran. Kemudian pemilihan kebijakan strategi pemasaran terbaik, dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Kata kunci : IKM, produk jadi tekstil, fuzzy AHP, strategi  pemasaran, scenario kebijakan, simulasi   Abstract   Growth of Small and Medium Industries (SMI) to this day continues to increase, according to data from the Ministry of Industry (2004) stated the number of SMEs in 2002 was 2.55 million units in 2003 and increased to 3 million units. Means there has been growth of SMEs by 15% per year. So this shows the high competition occurring among SMEs. The ability of SMEs in the competition in the industry is inseparable from the applicability of the marketing strategies used. The marketing strategy is one key to the success of SMEs in increasing product sales. Based on data from the Ministry of Industry (2004) note that SMEs finished textile products have the highest export growth rate, that is equal to 23.49% per year. This indicates that the SME textile products finished goods was an industry with the potential to be maintained survival. However, the problems of SME textile products finished goods is weak kekontinyuan existence of the industry. Some industries do not appear to have a long business life cycle, one factor is the inability of SMEs to increase sales because of poor marketing strategies. Based on the above, the research on modeling the marketing strategy for SMEs is very important to do. This study aimed to determine the policy of the marketing strategy finished textile products Small and Medium Industries in Bogor based approach to dynamic system simulation, aided by Power Simulation software. Data processing is done by mapping the position of SMEs by using a Matrix BCG (Boston Consulting Group) in which the position of SMEs as an object of study will be mapped into the position of Stars (Star), Dairy Cattle (Cash Cow), question marks (Question Mark) and Dog (Dogs ). Previously, the company will set priorities SME as a company that will be the object of research by using a Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is then performed formulation of marketing strategies according to industry positions can be determined by using the marketing mix strategy developed by Phillip Kotler. Once set each marketing mix strategy formulation, the next step is to model its marketing strategy by using the dynamic simulation system developed by Forrester, and several references were taken from the business dynamic by John F. Sterman, and make some policy alternatives marketing strategies. Then the selection policies of the best marketing strategies, with the established criteria. Abstract

Industri makanan merupakan salah satu industri unggulan bagi sektor Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) di Kota Bogor. Berdasarkan pengamatan secara kualitatif yang dilakukan, banyak tenaga kerja wanita yang bekerja dibidang industri makanan. Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah seberapa tinggi pengaruh produktifitas tenaga kerja wanita terhadap mutu produk makanan IKM.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara produktifitas kerja wanita dengan mutu produk yang dihasilkan. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan mereduksi jumlah industri IKM potensial yang akan dijadikan obyek penelitian dengan kriteria tertentu, dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Pengukuran produktifitas dilakukan berdasarkan pendekatan Rasio Output/Input. Penentuan hubungan pengaruh produktifitas tenaga kerja wanita dengan mutu produk makanan IKM adalah berdasarkan pendekatan koefisien korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa IKM produk makanan yang berpotensi di Kota Bogor adalah IKM produsen nata de coco, dimana dengan pendekatan AHP diperoleh bobot tertinggi dibandingkan dengan 28 IKM produk makanan lainnya, yaitu sebesar 0,096. Berdasarkan 4 IKM produsen nata de coco, dapat diambil kesimpulan secara umum, bahwa pada IKM nata de coco di Kota Bogor tidak terdapat pengaruh antara produktivitas tenaga kerja wanita dengan mutu produk. Based on qualitative observation, more women working at food industries. The problem in this research is How much the relationship between women worker with SME’s food product quality. The goal of this research is to find out the correlation between women worker’s productivity with product quality. This problem will be solve by reduce many potensial SME with some criteria use AHP. Productivity meseaure with Output/Input ratio. Correlation analysis used to know about the influence of women worker productivity with product quality. The result of this research says that nata de coco industries are the potensial SME in Bogor. From 4 SME we can make conclution that there are no significant correlation between women worker productivity and quality product for nata de coco industry. Abstract

Saat ini dunia industri memegang peran penting dalam era produksi di Indonesia. Dari setiap kegiatan produksi pasti ada kemungkinan terjadinya produk cacat. Untuk mengurangi hal tersebut ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan, contohnya dari sisi kualitas produk dengan membuat SOP sebagai acuan untuk mengetahui apakah produk tersebut layak untuk dipasarkan kepada kosumen atau tidak. CV. Atham Toys adalah salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi mainan kayu. Namun pada perusahaan tersebut belum mempunyai (SOP) pada kegiatan produksinya terutama pada stasiun kerja assembly. Mainan kayu hasil produksi ini dalam proses pembuatannya mengalami banyak masalah terutama pada produk Ronche 20 di stasiun kerja assembly seperti halnya cacat produksi yang disebabkan oleh mesin, kurang baiknya mutu produk yang dihasilkan dan tidak digunakannya statistical quality control serta tidak adanya standar kerja khusus dalam pengendalian produksinya. Akibat dari masalah tersebut menyebabkan kurang tepatnya sistem produksi yang dijalankan oleh perusahaan. Akibat dari masalah dalam proses produksi ini maka akan timbul kerugian bagi perusahaan yang diakibatkan banyaknya cacat produksi yang terjadi. Sistem pengendalian proses produksi yang diterapkan saat ini adalah hanya inspection quality, dimana kegiatan pengendalian kualitas hanya dilakukan dengan memisahkan produk baik atau cacat sehingga sulit untuk memantau dan meningkatkan performansi proses untuk menghasilkan produk yang memenuhi spesifikasi. Kata kunci : quality control, seven tools, standard operating procedure
