Abstract

Abstrak: Generasi pada era teknologi industri 5.0 diharuskan untuk mempunyai kemampuan dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi yang dikenal dengan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Konsep Kurikulum 2013 mengakomodir pengembangan HOTS tersebut, baik dalam pembelajaran maupun dari segi penilaian hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu, sudah semestinya guru mampu mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS dan membiasakan siswa menyelesaikannya. Namun, kondisi saat ini menunjukkan bahwa belum optimalnya pemahaman yang dimiliki guru tentang bagaimana cara mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada guru tentang hakekat HOTS dan cara mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS dalam bidang matematika. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan di SMP Negeri 7 Tanjungpinang dan dihadiri 38 orang guru yang juga merupakan anggota MGMP Matematika SMP Kota Tanjungpinang. Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi; (1) Pemantapan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep soal kategori HOTS, karakteristik dan fungsi soal kategori HOTS; (2) Pembimbingan peserta dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS; dan (3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan angket. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa target PKM tercapai dengan baik yaitu terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap pengembangan soal kategori HOTS. Lebih lanjut, setelah mengikuti pelatihan peserta mengaku lebih termotivasi untuk mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS pada materi pelajaran matematika SMP.Abstract: Generations in the era of industrial technology 5.0 are required to have higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The 2013 curriculum requires the existence of HOTS both in the implementation of learning activities and the assessment of learning outcomes. Teachers must be able to create and develop HOTS questions. There are still many teachers who do not have a good understanding on how to develop HOTS category questions. This service aims to provide teachers with an understanding of the nature of HOTS and the development of HOTS category questions in the field of mathematics. This activity was held in Tanjungpinang 7th Public Middle School and was attended by 38 MGMP Mathematics Teachers of Tanjungpinang Middle School. The series of activities namely; (1) Strengthening participants' understanding of the nature of HOTS category questions, its characteristics and function of HOTS category questions; (2) Guiding participants in compiling and developing HOTS category questions; and (3) Evaluation of the implementation of activities using a questionnaire instrument. The results show that there was an increase in teacher understanding of the development of HOTS category questions. Furthermore, the participants claimed to be more motivated to develop HOTS category questions mathematics subject for junior high school.

Abstract

Technological developments in the industrial era 4.0, which coincided with the Covid-19 Pandemic, required teachers to teach students from home. The use of technology is the right solution during the current Pandemic. This research and development aim to produce an Appropriate Technology (AT) e-book on mobile learning during a Pandemic for mathematics teachers that is valid and practical. The subjects of this study were 17 high school mathematics teachers in Lingga and Bintan districts. The research design used is the ADDIE development model, which specifically includes (1) analysis, (2) design, and (3) development. The instruments of data collection used a validation questionnaire sheet and a practicality questionnaire sheet. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive statistics to see the validity and practicality of the AT e-book developed. The results showed that the AT e-book was valid, as seen from the validation results of the validators, the score showed an average of 92.5% with very valid criteria. Based on the results of the practicality questionnaire, the AT e-book obtained an average score of 84.9% in the very practical criteria. This result was also confirmed by the teachers directly that the book helped them understand mobile learning easily. Therefore, it can be concluded that the AT e-book on mobile learning during the Pandemic for mathematics teachers has been categorized as valid and practical.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk melatih guru-guru yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika SMA Kabupaten Lingga dan Bintan untuk mengembangkan mobile learning sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran matematika daring pada masa pandemi. Metode pelaksanaan berupa penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan untuk menghasilkan mobile learning dengan aplikasi construct 2 dan aplikasi website 2 apk. Demi melihat keberhasilan kegiatan, peserta diberikan angket melalui google form sebelum pelatihan untuk menilai kemampuan awal guru, dan setelah pelatihan untuk melihat dampak kegiatan terhadap keterampilan pengembangan mobile learning oleh guru serta untuk mendapatkan penilaian guru terhadap pemateri, konten, dan teknis pelaksanaan kegiatan. Data kuantitatif dari angket ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diperoleh respons yang sangat baik untuk aspek pemateri dan konten, dan untuk aspek teknis pelaksanaan sebesar 62% peserta menyatakan baik dan lainnya sangat baik. Guru peserta juga menyampaikan pesan kesan langsung yakni kepuasan dan merasakan manfaat setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan. Dokumentasi pengumpulan produk mobile learning matematika yang dikembangkan oleh guru juga dinilai baik dan menunjukkan keberhasilan pelatihan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTRegarding the demands of the 4.0 industrial revolution where every math educator must be able to adapt to technological developments and respond quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers should improve his capacity to use technology. The results of the analysis through partner exploration with a number of teachers who are members of the Mathematics Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) for the high school mathematics of Bintan Regency found that there is still limited knowledge about technology so that the need for training. Through Community Service (PKM) activities, online training on Geometry Toolbox is carried out, it’s considered to have great potential to support distance learning. Through these activities, a learning video is produced which can be used as a distance learning resource. Four aspects of success of this activity are  general assessment, relevance and significance of activities, usefulness, and aspects of increasing the knowledge, understanding and skills of participants. The data obtained by distributing questionnaire using the Google Form platform and questions and answers during activity sessions. The results of this activity show that the online Geometry Toolbox training is going very well where participants have increased knowledge, an understanding of technology integration in mathematics learning and are skilled at using the Geometry Toolbox software in packaging learning. Thus training activities have provided opportunities for teachers to be able to carry out distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Keywords: distance learning, Geometry Toolbox, online training  ABSTRAKTerkait tuntutan revolusi industri 4.0 dimana setiap pendidik matematika harus mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan perkembangan teknologi serta secara sigap merespon situasi pandemi COVID-19, maka guru harus meningkatkan kapasitas dirinya dalam menggunakan teknologi. Melalui penjajakan mitra terhadap sejumlah guru yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika tingkat SMA Kabupaten Bintan diperoleh informasi bahwa masih ada kelemahan penguasaan teknologi sehingga perlu diadakan pelatihan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan online Geometry Toolbox dirasa memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh. Melalui kegiatan tersebut dihasilkan video pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan sumber belajar jarak jauh. Empat aspek penentu keberhasilan kegiatan ini adalah penilaian secara umum, relevansi dan signifkansi kegiatan, kebermanfaatan, serta aspek peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Data diperoleh dengan penyebaran angket menggunakan platform Google Form serta tanya jawab selama sesi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan online Geometry Toolbox berjalan dengan sangat baik dimana peserta memiliki peningkatan pemahaman mengenai integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika serta terampil menggunakan software Geometry Toolbox. Dengan demikian kegiatan pelatihan ini telah mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh pada masa pandemi 2020.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran jarak jauh, Geometry Toolbox, pelatihan online

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of mathematic teachers in doing classroom action research (CAR). Specifically, this study aims to: (1) Describe the problem of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research; (2) Describe the factors causing the problems of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research. The study applied a descriptive method. The samples were civil servant mathematics teachers who served in several State Junior High Schools, State High Schools, and State Vocational Schools in Tanjung Pinang City. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed and presented descriptively. Some of them were caused by: 1) being busy; 2) difficulty getting literature; 3) Lack of technology mastery; 4) the CAR training could be more optimal.
