Abstract

This research aims to diagnose the difficulties learning mathematics reviewed from numerical ability of extraordinary junior high school Karya Murni Manggaraistudents. This research was qualitative research andthe sampling technique used was purposive sampling, so the subjects were 4 of students. Data were collected using test and interview. Test was used to know the types of learning difficulties in mathematics and interview was used to know factors that cause difficulties to learn mathematics. Data were analyzed by using descriptive data analysis techniques with stages : reducing data, presentation of data, conclusion, and verification.The results of this research indicate that students are still having difficulties regarding mathematics calculations, connecting concepts in accordance with existing situation, and solve the problems. These difficulties are caused by weak memory, the material being taught is not related to the student’s daily life, and the lack of procedural, conseptual, and factual abilities. Therefore, it is necessary to find a strategy that can reduce student’s difficulties learning mathematics students and can improve student’s numerical ability.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the causes and location of student difficulties in solving mathematical problems with HOTS based on the mathematical connection skills they have. This research using qualitative methods, and was conducted in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year at STKIP Campus Santu Paulus Ruteng. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique. The selected items were three students of the STKIP Santu Paulus Ruteng Mathematics Education Study Program, with categories namely one student capable of deep mathematical connections, one student capable of moderate mathematical connections, and one student capable of high mathematical connections. The selection of subjects from each of these categories is based on the results of the identification of problems that have been carried out during the initial observation. The instrument in this study was the researchers themselves. Besides, researchers use supporting instruments, namely tests and guidelines for interviews. In conducting interviews, researchers conduct structured and unstructured interviews. The technique of data collection is done by giving written tests and interviews conducted through the triangulation process. The triangulation process aims to obtain valid data carried out by conducting repeated interviews at different times to the same research subject. The interval between the first phase of the interview with the next stage is 14 days, and because the data is saturated, so the data collection stops. Data analysis is carried out when data collection takes place, and after data collection is carried out. The steps in analyzing the data using the Miles and Huberman analysis models, namely 1) reducing data, 2) presenting data, and 3) concluding. The results showed that, in solving mathematical problems with Hots, the subject of KKMR only relied on factual knowledge but had difficulties in using conceptual, procedural and metalogical knowledge, while the KKMS subject could only use factual and procedural knowledge but had difficulty using procedural knowledge and metacognition, while KKMT subjects only had difficulty in using their metalogical knowledge but did not experience difficulties in using factual, conceptual and procedural knowledge. Learning difficulties experienced by each subject are caused because they do not often practice mathematical solving with Hots when learning mathematics.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru berkaitan dengan penulisan karya ilmiah. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru dalam menunjang profesionalismenya dalam berkarya. Guru perlu dibimbing dalam hal penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Keuntungan yang akan diperoleh guru yaitu peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis research dan peningkatan keterampilan dalam hal menulis karya ilmiah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap antara lain: pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas dan bimbingan penulisan karya ilmiah. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa guru rumpun matematika dan IPA di SMPN 1 Borong dan SMP Stanislaus secara perlahan mulai memahami cara menulis karya ilmiah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas.

Abstract

Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru dalam Menulis Karya Ilmiah Berbasis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kabupaten Manggarai Timur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru guna menunjang profesionalismenya dalam berkarya. Guru perlu dilatih dan dibimbing sehingga memiliki keterampilan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah, terutama karya ilmiah yang berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Keuntungan yang diperoleh guru, yaitu peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis research dan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu pelatihan dan bimbingan penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis PTK. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa guru rumpun Matematika dan IPA di SMPN 1 Borong dan SMP Stanislaus memahami cara menulis karya ilmiah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis PTK dan membagikan informasi serta pengalamannya melalui publikasi ilmiah.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan  pengabdian ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan pada tahun 2019 di Kelompok Basis Gereja Santu Fransiskus Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk permainan konservasi matematika yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan konservasi bilangan bagi anak usia dini yang berusia 4-5 tahun. Kemampuan konservasi adalah salah satu tahap perkembangan anak yang menyatakan sesuatu (suatu objek) tetap konstan meskipun ditempatkan dalam berbagai posisi yang berbeda. Permainan konservasi matematika bagi anak usia 4-5 tahun di prioritaskan pada konservasi bilangan, sebagai salah satu hal  penting saat mereka mengenal bilangan. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan saat pandemi COVID 19 sedang melanda seluruh dunia melalui tahapan observasi, perencanaan, tindakan dan evaluasi. Sehingga pelaksanaannya dilakukan dengan kunjungan rumah dan tetap memperhatikan protokol kesehatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 3 bulan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, kemampuan konservasi bilangan anak usia 4-5 tahun meningkat, yang ditunjukkan oleh semakin meningkatnya jumlah konserver setelah kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan.Abstract: This community service activity was a follow-up of the activities that had been conducted in 2019 at Kelompok Basis Gereja Santu Fransiskus. The activity was  carried out in the form of a mathematical conservation game that aimed to improve the ability to conserve numbers for young children aged 4-5 years. The ability of conservation is one of children's development stage which indicates that something (an object) remains constant even though placed in a variety of different positions. The mathematics conservation games for children aged 4-5 years were prioritised on conservation of numbers, as one of the important things when they recognise numbers. The community service activities were done during the COVID 19 pandemic through the stages of observation, planning, action and evaluation, so the activities were conducted with a home visit method and under strict health protocols. This program was conducted for 3 months. Based on the results of the activity, the conservation ability of numbers of children aged 4-5 years increased, which is indicated by the increasing number of concervers after the activity was carried out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat belajar dengan resiliensi matematis siswa dalam menerapkan flipped classroom pada masa pandemi covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian merupakan seluruh siswa kelas XI TKJ di SMK Informatika Santu Petrus Ruteng tahun ajaran 2020/2021 berjumlah 124 siswa, sedangakan sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 55 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan untuk menghitung signifikansi regresi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi diperoleh persamaan Ŷ = 46.04 + 0.56X t_hitung = 11.62 dan t_tabel = 2.00 maka H_o: ρ = 0 ditolak dan H_1: ρ> 0 diterima. Ini berarti, koefesien regresi (b = slope = 0.56) sangat signifikan. Sementara itu besarnya kontribusi variabel X terhadap Y yaitu r ^ 2 x 100% = (0.8474512 x 100% = 75.75%, Berdasarkan data tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi minat belajar siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula resiliensi matematis siswa. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah minat belajar siswa, maka semakin rendah pula resiliensi matematis siswa

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengadian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan bersamaan dengan pelaksanaan kuliah kerja nyata dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat, yaitu masyarakat desa Poco belum memanfaatkan hasil pertanian menjadi sesuatu yang bisa menambah penghasilan keluarga. Selain itu, Ibu rumah tangga belum aktif untuk membantu menambah pendapatan keluarga. Oleh karena itu, tim Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng mengadakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan memberdayakan para ibu rumah tangga kelompok basis gereja Santu Lukas Poco melalui pengolahan sumber daya lokal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi para ibu rumah tangga. Program ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu observasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap para ibu rumah tangga dalam menambah penghasilan keluarga. Para ibu rumah tangga menjadikan bolu pisang sebagai camilan natal dan usaha untuk menambah pendapatan mereka. Memanfaatkan hasil pertanian dan pemberdayaan para ibu rumah tangga merupakan hal yang sangat penting dan harus diperhatikan oleh berbagai pihak, terutama pemerintah desa. Kata Kunci : Pemerdayaan Ibu Rumah Tangga, Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Lokal ABSTRACTCommunity service activities that were carried out simultaneously with the implementation of real work lectures are motivated by the results of the community service team’s observations, namely that the Poco village community has not utilized agricultural products into something that can increase family income.  In addition, housewives have not been active in helping to increase family income. Therefore, the Indonesian Catholic University of Saint Paul Ruteng team held a community service by empowering church-based group housewives to the processing of local resources. This activity aims to develop the potential of housewives. This program was carried out through several stages, namely observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This program has a positive effect on housewives in increasing family income. The housewives who use banana cake as a Christmas snack are trying to increase their income. Utilizing agricultural products and empowering housewives are very important things that must be considered by various parties, especially the village government. Keywords: empowerment of housewives, utilization of local resources

Abstract

Mahasiswa pada umumnya memiliki respons bervariasi terhadap masalah persamaan diferensial (PD) koefisien konstan non homogen. Spektrum respons diperlukan untuk mengetahui level pemahaman mahasiswa pada suatu masalah PD non homogen. Dalam literatur telah dijelaskan bahwa spektrum respon siswa dapat dipahami dengan berbagai cara. Meski demikian, penggunaan Taksonomi SOLO untuk memahami spektrum respon mahasiswa belum banyak dijelajahi. Sebagai upaya mengisi kesenjangan ini maka kami melakukan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini untuk mendeskripsikan spektrum respons mahasiswa terhadap masalah persamaan diferensial (PD) koefisien kontan non homogen berbasis taksonomi SOLO. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika yang memprogramkan mata kuliah persamaan diferensial (PD) tahun akademik 2020/2021. Seluruh subjek penelitian ditetapkan dengan mempertimbangkan kemampuan yang setara pada mata kuliah ini. Masalah PD yang diberikan kepada subyek penelitian tentang PD non homogeny yang diselesaikan menggunakan metode koefisien tak tentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spektrum respons mahasiswa terhadap masalah persamaan diferensial (PD) koefisien kontan non homogen berbasis taksonomi SOLO, antara lain: mahasiswa menjelaskan masalah menggunakan kalimat sendiri tanpa mengubah arti, menggunakan beberapa informasi yang didapat melalui pembentuk solusi partikular, kemudian informasi tersebut untuk menyelesaikan masalah, memadukan penggalan-penggalan informasi yang terpisah untuk menghasilkan penyelesaian dari suatu masalah, memecahkan masalah secara bertahap, dan memberikan solusi masalah dengan benar. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa respons mahasiswa  terhadap masalah PD koefisien kontan non homogen berada pada tingkat relational
