Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purposes of this research are to investigate: 1) the entrepreneurial preparedness among the  students of Barabai Vocational High School, and 2) the effect of students’ entrepreneurial knowledge, industrial practicum experience, and achievement motivation toward their entrepreneurial preparedness for both individually and mutually. The descriptive analysis results showed that the entrepreneurial preparedness of twelfth grade students of Barabai Vocational High School was high (57.7%). The hypothesis testing results showed that there was a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial knowledge, industrial practicum experience, achievement motivation toward students’ preparedness (F= 95.418, p= 0.000). The determination coefficient of R2 = 0.599 indicated that entrepreneurial knowledge, industrial practicum experience and achievement motivation were able to explain the variable of students’ preparedness (59.9%). Each independent variable showed a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, i.e. entrepreneurial knowledge (t = 5.095, p = 0.000), industrial practicum experience (t = 6.123 p = 0.000), and achievement motivation (5.738 = p = 0.000).Keywords: entrepreneurial knowledge, industrial practicum experience, achievement motivation, and entrepreneurial preparedness

Abstract

A research on the extraction of lead(II) ion has been done using emulsion liquid membrane technique. This research used a laboratory experiment method by using benzoyl acetone as a carrier, paraffin liquid as the membrane, a solution of nitric acid as an internal phase, Span-80 as surfactant, and a solution of lead(II) as the sample solution. This research was conducted to determine the optimum extraction condition of lead(II) ions in solution which includes a volume ratio of emulsion to external phase and extraction capacity of lead(II) ion by emulsion liquid membrane technique. The volume ratio of emulsion to external phase used was 1:5, 1:6, 1:7, and 1:8. While the variation of concentration of lead(II) used was 220 ppm, 434 ppm, 695 ppm, and 817 ppm. The determination of the concentration of lead(II) ions in external phase is done by using a spectrophotometer SpectroDirect. The results of this research showed that the volume ratio of emulsion to external phase were in the maximum extraction percentage; 1:6 ratio. Moreover, the concentration of lead(II) were in maximum extraction percentage of 220 ppm with extraction percentage of 56.36%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan komposisi yang tepat pada subsitusi tepung terigu dengan tepung jagung dan tepung ubi jalar mie basah. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: T0 : Tepung terigu 100%, tepung jagung 0% dan tepung Ubi jalar 0%. T1 : Tepung terigu 0%, tepung jagung 40% dan tepung Ubi jalar 60%. T2 : Tepung terigu 30%, tepung jagung 50% dan tepung Ubi jalar 20%. T3 : Tepung terigu 40%, tepung jagung 60% dan tepung Ubi jalar 0%. T4 : Tepung terigu 50%, tepung jagung 0% dan tepung Ubi jalar50%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan terbaik untuk kadar air diperoleh dari perlakuan T3 (Tepung terigu 40%, tepung jagung 60%), yaitu 60,47%. Kadar abu terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan T3 (Tepung terigu 40%, tepung jagung 60%), yaitu 0,16%, dan kadar protein terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan T4(Tepung terigu 50%, tepung jagung 0% dan tepung Ubi jalar 50%), yaitu 3,03%.

Abstract

Abstract:This research is designed as a research on improving students? speaking ability in class to the second semester of tenth grade class B students of MAN 2 Filial Pontianak. The purpose of the research is to improve students? ability in speaking of expression of happiness by applying role play technique. The method of this research was classroom action research. It was conducted in three cycles. The subjects of this research were 35 students at the second semester of the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Filial Pontianak in academic year 2014/2015. After collecting the data, the writer found that improving students? ability in expression of happiness through Role Play technique is work well. Based on the data analysis, the result of the research was progress. It is showed that the students? mean score for speaking ability in expression of happiness improved. It could be seen on data analysis result from each cycle (53, 11 on cycle 1, 67, 51 on cycle 2, and 75, 85 on cycle 3). Even students fulfilled KKM (standard achievement) on cycle 2, however, the teacher and collaborator decide to do 3 cycle to make sure that using role play was really suitable for students? speaking ability improvement. Based on the result of the data analysis, the writer took a conclusion that Role Play technique is work well and can be applied.   Keywords: Role Play Technique, Classroom Action Research, Speaking Ability.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas X semester 2 MAN 2 Filial Pontianak.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukan kemampuan siswa dalam berbicara dengan menerapkan teknik bermain peran, dimana siswa berperan menjadi rang lain saat pertunjukan di depan kelas dimulai. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan kelas dan dilakukan dalam 3 siklus dengan prosedur yaitu, persiapan, bertindak, obserpasi, dan refleksi terhadap siswa kelas X semester 2 Man 2 Filial Pontianak tahun akademik 2014/2015 dan jumlah siswa adalah 35 orang. Data tes menunjukan bahwa rata-rata perolehan nilai siswa pada siklus 1 yaitu 53, 11, sikuls 2 yaitu 67,51, dan siklus 3 yaitu 75,85, itu berarti kategori yang cukup baik. Berdasarkan data diatas dapat disimpulkan bahawa dalam pengguanaan teknik bermain peran di kelas adalah baik dan dapat digunakan.   Kata Kunci:Teknik Bermain Peran, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Kemampuan Berbicara.

Abstract

Abstrak The objectives of this study was to find out whether or not there was a significant effect of the using Think-Pair and Share technique at seventh grade students’ reading comprehension of Junior High School Satu Atap Bertam. This research was conducted at first grade students of Junior high school Satu Atap Bertam. This school is located in Muaro Jambi, there are two classes of seventh grade students, and this school uses school based curriculum. In conducting the research, the writer used the experimental research, and the design of the experimental research was a quasi-experimental research. The result of the research found two things: First, the writer has computed the two means score by using t -test formula; the value of t-test was higher than the value of t-table. It indicated that there was a different on the students’ reading comprehension that was taught by using Think Pair and Share technique. Second, the result of the analysis indicated there was a significant difference between the students’ reading comprehension taught by using Think Pair and Share technique and those who were not. Abstract

Profitability is one benchmark to show a company operational performance. Various factors influence the amount of profitability. This research aims to analyze the influence of the amount of premium income, total investment, claims expense and operational costs on the profitability gained during the period 2011-2017. This paper conducts multiple linear analysis, namely OLS (Ordinary Least Square) with secondary data in the form of time-series data. The results of the t-test indicate that the claims expense variable has a negative and significant effect. Meanwhile, the operational cost variable has a positive and significant impact. On the contrary, the premium variable and the amount of investment both have a positive but not significant effect. Moreover, the results of the F test show that the variables of premium, investment, claims expense and operating costs have a considerable impact on the profitability of Sinar Mas Islamic Insurance.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan siswa ketika menulis teks recount menggunakan panduan pertanyaan (guided question). Berdasarkan pengalam peneliti selama mengajar, siswa selalu kesulitan untuk mendapatkan ide-ide dalam teks recount. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 5 sungai kakap pada tahun akademik 2013/2014. Sedangkan, subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 dengan 32 orang sebagai partisipan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan daftar observasi, tes tertulis, dan catatan lapangan guna mendukung proses pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan pada tiap siklus. Siklus pertama nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 61,5. Rata-rata siswa mengalami permasalahan dalam memahami pertanyaan yang digunakan. Namun, lantas meningkat menjadi 75,0 pada siklus kedua. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan guided questions memiliki manfaat bagi peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa. Kata Kunci: Menulis, Teks Recount, Panduan Pertanyaan Abstract: The objective of this research is to solve student’s problem in writing a recount text by using guided questions. Based on the writer experience during teaching, the students were difficult to get ideas in recount text. The methodology of this research is a classroom action research which consists of 2 cycles. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Kakap in the academic year 2013/2014. The subject of this research was the eighth grade students. The number of participants in this research was 32 students. In completing the research, the researcher used the observation, written test and field note as the instruments of collecting the data. The result of this research has shown that the students have improvement in writing in each cycle. First cycle was 61.5. Most of the students had problem in understanding the question words used. But, it improved in the second cycle which was 75.0. In conclusion, the use of guided questions had a value in improving the students’ recount text writing. Abstract

Konvergensi media merupakan persimpangan media lama dan media baru, yang tidak saja akibat pergeseran teknologi namun juga berdampak pada pergeseran paradigma industri, budaya dan sosial. Karena itu mediamorfosis menjadi pilihan industri media dalam mempertahankan eksistensi dirinya. MoeslimChoice sebagai bagian dari media Islam turut bertransformasi sehingga mengubah strategi bisnisnya melalui situs berita online dan layanan TV streaming. Transformasi media ini menunjukkan apa yang disebut oleh Roger Fidler (1997) sebagai mediamorphosis dan atau konsep konvergensi media dari Nicholas Negroponte.Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, pendekatan kualitatif dan studi kasus.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, telaah pustaka dan wawancara mendalam.Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan MoeslimChoice itelah melakukan mediamorfosis dengan memperluas platformdari media cetak ke digital. Mediamorfosis dilakukan melalui koevolusi, konvergensi dan kompleksitas. Di antara tiga konsep mediamorfosis, konvergensi lah yang menjadi esensi dari perubahan yang dilakukan MoeslimChoice. Pada konvergensi kontinum yang terfokus pada ruang redaksi, MoeslimChoice telah mencakup kelima tahapannya. Meskipun pencapaian ini masih belum sempurna. Sedangkan pada konvergensi jurnalistik yang terfokus pada isi atau konten liputannya, MoeslimChoice dominan menggunakan model konvergensi newsgathering, yang mana kemampuan multitasking seorang jurnalis sangat diutamakan.
