Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai pengenalan penyakit Ganoderma dan penggunaan jamur endofitik Hendersonia pada kelapa sawit bagi Masyarakat di Desa Gunung Ambat Kec. Sei Bingei telah dilaksanakan pada 29-30 Oktober 2019. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan awareness para petani mengenai penyakit Ganoderma dan tindakan pengendaliannya. Hari pertama diisi dengan prensentasi meteri dan diskusi indoor; dan hari berikutnya dilakukan praktek lapangan pengenalan penyakit Ganoderma dan penggunaan jamur Endofitik Hendersonia untuk pencegahan penularan penyakit tersebut pada tanaman kelapa sawit. Semua proses, pencapaian, dan lessons learn dari kegiatan ini dicatat dan didomentasikan dengan baik yang digunakan untuk penulisan jurnal ini. Untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani, dilakukan observasi pasca-pelatihan yaitu kemampuan pengenalan Ganoderma pada tanaman yang terinfeksi dan penggunaan jamur Hendersonia oleh petani. Data dan informasi yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dinarasikan secara kualitatif.  Hasil yang ditemukan adalah terdapat 76 persen atau 38 orang yang telah memahami ciri-ciri tanaman yang terkena Ganoderma dan 100 persen peserta mampu mengaplikasikan Hendersonia pada bibit kelapa sawit dengan baik. Telah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam hal pengendalian Ganoderma pada kelapa sawit. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh kemudian dipraktekkan di lahan masing-masing pada proyek replanting yang dibiayai oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Abstract:  Community understanding of Ganoderma disease and using fungus of Hendersonia in oil palm’s farmers in Gunung Ambat Village, Sei Bingei Sub-district held on 29-30 October 2019. This project aims to increase the knowledge, skills and awareness of farmers about Ganoderma disease. The first day was material presentations and indoor discussions; and the following day a field practice was using Hendersonia Endophytic fungus to prevent transmission. All processes, achievements, and lessons learned from this activity recorded and well documented which used for writing this journal. To determine the increase in farmers' knowledge and skills, post-training observations been made, specifically the ability to detect Ganoderma to infected plants and the use of Hendersonia fungus by farmers. The data and information obtained analyzed descriptively and qualitatively narrated. The results found were 76 percent or 38 people understood the characteristics of plants affected by Ganoderma and 100 percent being able to apply Hendersonia to oil palm seeds well. There had been an increase in the knowledge and skills of farmers in controlling Ganoderma in oil palm. The knowledge and skills acquired been then practiced on their own fields in the replanting project financed by the government of Indonesia.

Abstract

Bangun Sari Village, which is located in the Tanjng Morawa sub-district, is a shopping center for ornamental plants, especially aglaonema ornamental plants, to be precise, one of the largest ornamental plant shopping centers in Deli Serdang Regency. The analysis used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression. This research was conducted in Bangun Sari Village, this study involved consumers of Aglaonema ornamental plants, the results of this study were that there were positive factors that caused the purchase decision of Aglaonema ornamental plants by taking a sample of 50 respondents who were involved in purchasing ornamental plants in Bangun Sari Village. Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the factors that cause changes in consumer behavior in oranges during the Covid-19 pandemic, (2) determine the attributes that become consumers' decisions to buy citrus fruit products and (3) determine the marketing strategies of traders in order to keep it. survived after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research area was determined purposively or deliberately in Sippan Village, Pematang Silimahuta District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. The population in this study were 30 farmers and traders in Saribudolok Market and 30 traders or consumers. The method of determining the sample is carried out by the Accidental method (tracing). To determine the relationship between income, occupation, education, gender, age and number of families on consumer behavior using statistical tests used Chi-Square test with confidence =0.05. To determine the attributes that become the consumer's decision to buy citrus fruit products, Fishbein analysis is used which in principle will calculate Ao (Attitude toward the object). To find out the marketing strategies by traders so that they can survive after the Covid-19 pandemic is done by using a SWOT test. The results showed that gender, education, number of dependents and occupation had no significant effect on changes in consumer behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic, while age and income had a significant effect on changes in consumer behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic. The taste of orange is the main criterion for consumers in forming attitudes towards purchasing oranges. This indicates that consumers prefer lime flavor. Meanwhile, the attributes of price, size and color, which according to consumers are the least important criteria. The marketing strategy based on SWOT analysis is Strength – Opportunity (SO), where the Strength – Opportunity (SO) strategy in the SWOT matrix is first, improving the quality of citrus fruits produced with high prices of oranges and second, namely mutually beneficial cooperation between farmers and traders through media marketing. e-commerce

Abstract

Pembangunan dan pengembangan kualitas masyarakat petani dalam melaksanakan usahatani merupakan salah satu aspek yang mendukung terciptanya peningkatan produksi dan produktivitas pertanian, sehingga keuntungan dapat ditingkatkan. Pembangunan pertanian khususnya tanaman hortikultura yang telah dilaksanakan, telah memberikan kontribusi yang positif terhadap perkembangan ekonomi. Semakin jelas dan nyata bahwa sistem perekonomian, semakin dipengaruhi oleh sektor pertanian. Sektor ini mempunyai dampak dalam kelangsungan pendapatan petani suatu daerah. Budidaya tanaman sayuran di Indonesia umumnya dilakukan dengan pola tanam monokultur dan polikultur. Monokultur adalah sisitem budi daya pada suatu areal lahan yang ditanami dengan satu jenis tanaman saja. Sedangkan polikultur merupakan sistem budi daya tanaman pada satu areal lahan yang sama dalam satu tahun ditanami dengan beberapa jenis tanaman, baik yang ditanam dalam waktu yang bersamaan atau waktu yang sedikit berbeda. Perkembangan hama dan penyakit cenderung lebih mudah terjadi pada pola tanam monokultur karena sumber makanan bagi hama dan patogen selalu tersedia. Sebaliknya pada pola tanam polikultur yang diikuti dengan pola rotasi tanaman dapat memutus siklus hidup hama dan penyakit. Rotasi tanaman memiliki banyak keunggulan. Pada beberapa sistem budidaya tanaman organik, rotasi tanaman sangat direkomendasikan. Beberapa keunggulan rotasi tanaman adalah mampu mengurangi intensitas serangan hama atau penyakit, meningkatkan kesuburan tanah, serta rotasi tanaman sangat direkomendasikan. Beberapa keunggulan rotasi tanaman adalah mampu mengurangi intensitas serangan hama atau penyakit, meningkatkan kesuburan tanah, serta mampu membentuk ekosistem mikro yang stabil. Selain itu, di dalam dunia agribisnis pada beberapa jenis komoditas terutama jenis sayuran mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan Mentimun di lapangan dengan Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk kandang puyuh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus) dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk ampas sabut kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus) serta untuk mengetahui interaksi pemberian pupuk organik kandanng puyuh dan ampas sabut kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus). Rancangan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor yang diujikan sekali gus dan mempunyai 3 ulangan, Faktor pertama adalah Pupuk kandang puyuh (P) yaitu : P1 = 2 kg/plot, P2 = 4 kg/plot dan P3 = 6 kg/plot. Faktor kedua pupuk ampas sabut kelapa (K) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu :K0 = 0 (kontrol), K1 = 2 kg/plot, K2 (4 kg/plot) dan K3 (6 kg/plot). Parameter yang diamati terdiri dari pertumbuhan panjang tanaman (cm), jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah/sampel, produksi buah/sampel dan produksi buah/plot. Berdasarkan analisa DMRT hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penggunaan pemberian pupuk kandang puyuh dan pupuk ampas sabut kelapa memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (p < 0.01) terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman mentimun, produksi/sampel maupun produksi/plot mentimun memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda tidak nyata (p > 0.05) terhadap jumlah cabang produktif dan jumlah buah/sampel.

Abstract

Community service is carried out as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which aims to assist the community in increasing knowledge and skills in the field of making brown sugar that utilizes the sap of palm oil stems. Oil palm stem sap can be processed into brown sugar which is an alternative for processing palm oil waste in Sei Musam Village, Sei Batang Serangan District, Langkat Regency. The method of implementing this community service activity is in the form of assistance to brown sugar producers in the form of technology transfer, management, and equipment support. Assistance activities carried out for 2 (two) days. The result of the mentoring activities is an increase in palm sap processing skills, and an increased understanding of business management, especially in financial governance with simple bookkeeping. Assistance to brown sugar artisans needs to be done considering the quality of brown sugar produced so far is still low and the shape of the brown sugar produced is not uniform. The assistance team provided equipment in the form of a brown sugar molding tool to produce a uniform brown sugar mold so that when it is packaged it looks neat for marketing. From the community service activities that have been carried out, it shows that the craftsmen are able and successful in making brown sugar uniform shapes and are able to calculate the cost of producing brown sugar from palm oil stem sap.

Abstract

Research has been carried out using Mabar Compost and NPK Yara Mila 16:16;16 on lettuce (Lactuca Sativa L.). The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Mabar Compost Fertilizer, the effect of NPK Yara Mila 16:16:16, and the effect of the interaction between the two types of fertilizer on the growth and yield of lettuce plants. The study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors. Factor I: Dosage of Mabar Compost with the symbol "K", namely K0: 0 Control (without treatment), K1: 350 grams/plot, K2: 550 grams/plot, and K3: 750 grams/plot. Factor II: Dosage of NPK fertilizer with the symbol "P", namely P0: 0 Control (without treatment), P1: 18 grams/plot, P2: 24 grams/plot, P3: 30 grams/plot. The results showed that Mabar Compost Fertilizer and NPK Fertilizer had no significant effect on the height and number of leaves of lettuce plants. Mabar Compost Fertilizer had a significant effect on the yield weight of fresh lettuce plants. The average yield weight of plants affected by compost was K0 (109.4 gr), not significantly different from K1 (120.2gr) but significantly different from K2 (125.4 gr) and K3 (165.2 gr). No interaction was found between the type of fertilizer and the dose of fertilizer on the research parameters.

Abstract

Research on the effect of plant spacing and weeding time on the growth and production of carrots (Daucus carota L) has been well carried out in February-May 2021 at UPT. Kutagadung Horticulture Parent Seeds. Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of spacing and weeding time on the growth and yield of carrots. The results showed that the average plant height affected by the distance between J1 18.5 cm and J2 16.4 cm and J3 15.2. cm and the average height of the influence of weeding, namely M0 (17 cm) was significantly different from M1 (16.5 cm), M2 (16.6 cm), and M4 (16.5 cm). The effect of spacing (J) on tuber length showed that J1 (17.51 cm) was significantly different from J2 (18.22 cm) and J3 (18.23 cm). The effect of spacing (J) treatment on tuber diameter showed that J1 (3.36 cm) was significantly different from J2 (3.79 cm), and significantly different from J3 (5.27 cm), the effect of weeding time (M0) 3, 52 cm was significantly different from M1 (4.14 cm), M2 (4.25 cm), M3 (4.34 cm), and M4 (4.47 cm), and the combination treatment J1M0 resulted in the smallest tuber size of 3.1 cm. and the largest in J3M4 is 5.75 cm. The combination of J3M4 produced the highest tuber diameter of 5.75 cm which was the optimum treatment. The effect of plant spacing on tuber weight per sample was found that J1 (86.47 gr) was significantly different from J2 (101.82 gr) and J3 (186.48 gr), the effect of the weeding time factor M0 (70.24 gr) was significantly different from M1 (135.41 gr), M2 (137 gr), M3 (137.88), and M4 (144.08 gr)
