Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk disfemisme dalam tuturan remaja berbahasa Jamee di Kecamatan Samadua, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan, (2) mendeskripsikan konteks disfemisme dalam tuturan remaja berbahasa Jamee di Kecamatan Samadua, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan, dan (3) mendeskripsikan fungsi disfemisme dalam tuturan remaja berbahasa Jamee di Kecamatan Samadua, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah tuturan remaja yang mengandung ungkapan disfemisme dengan sumber data remaja di Kecamatan Samadua, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak, teknik rekam atau catat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, temuan penelitian ini dapat dikemukakan sebagai berikut. Pertama, remaja di Kecamatan Samadua menggunakan ungkapan disfemisme berbentuk kata, frasa, dan kalusa. Kedua, konteks penggunaan disfemisme dalam tuturan remaja di Kecamatan Samadua disebabkan karena marah, meminta, berkomentar, bercanda, bertanya, kebiasaan, terkejut, merespon pertanyaan. Ketiga, fungsi disfemisme pada tuturan remaja yaitu untuk menyakiti orang yang dituju, menuduh atau menggugat, penolokan atau pengingkaran terhadap seseorang atau sesuatu hal, mengkritik, memberi pertanyaan, mengutuk atau melaknat, dan mengekspresikan ketidakpedulian.Kata kunci: Disfemisme, Tuturan Remaja, Bahasa Jamee

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai edukatif dalam teks Ca-é Covid-19 karya Medya Hus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teks Ca-é Covid-19 karya Medya Hus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan menentukan nilai edukatif sebagai objek kajian, mengklasifikasi satu per satu bait ca-é yang mengandung nilai edukatif, mendeskripsikan nilai edukatif yang terdapat dalam bait ca-é yang telah diklasifikasikan, dan mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam jenis nilai, yaitu (1) nilai religius, (2) nilai disiplin, (3) nilai gemar membaca, (4) nilai peduli lingkungan, (5) nilai peduli sosial, dan (6) nilai tanggung jawab. Nilai edukatif yang dominan yang terdapat dalam teks Ca-é Covid-19 adalah yang berkaitan dengan nilai disiplin dan religius.Kata kunci: ca-é, Covid-19, nilai edukatif

Abstract

Ratéb Dôda Idi is one of the local wisdoms in Aceh Besar community in educating early childhood. They put their children to sleep in a swing and chant poem that contains the value of monotheism. Previous research explains, Ratéb Dôda Idi as childcare media, character building, and socio-cultural functions. At present, there are still parents who use Ratéb Dôda Idi as a medium for children's education, but some do not use it. Poem of Ratéb Dôda Idi is often contested, and the Aceh’s Tradition Council has done the training. This study aims to find answers to the poem of Ratéb Dôda Idi used as a medium of transferring monotheism value and how relevant it is to the future development of Islam in Aceh Besar. This research uses a qualitative approach and “social situation”, descriptive method, text analysis, purposive informants, interview technique snowball, and triangulation. The results of the study answer that: First, Ratéb Dôda Idi used as a medium of transferring monotheism value to children, with the reasons: (1) poem has become a tradition in society; (2) poem is entertainment for children and parents; (3) poem is appropriate to the child character; (4) rewarding those who read it. Second: Ratéb Dôda Idi is relevant to Islamic education, with reason: poem of Ratéb Dôda Idi and Islamic religious education both aim to form a pious man and virtuous character; (2) poem of ratéb dôda idi and Islamic education both contain monotheism, worship, and morals; (3) it is known that the role of parents in poem ratéb dôda idi is appropriate to Islamic teachings, namely the most responsible ones to children’s education is parents. Ratéb Dôda Idi needs to be preserved and adapted to the times. Ratéb Dôda Idi is an investment for children's education from now on in Aceh Besar community.

Abstract

This research attempted to delve into the Indonesian and English lecturers’ views on othering experiences through the metaphorical lens. The data collection employed interviews with ten lecturers teaching at two public universities in Aceh, Indonesia. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, and further analyzed using Johnson and Lakoff’s Conceptual Metaphor Theory (CMT) where a metaphor is referred to understanding and experiencing one kind of thing in terms of another thing. The results revealed that the lecturers expressed their feelings of being othered through 14 Acehnese metaphorical expressions. They are ‘awak dalam’, ‘awak droe’ ‘asoe lhôk’, ‘Cina saboh geudông’, and ‘ureung lhap darah’,‘kön ureung gulam budée’, ‘kön awak dalam’, ‘kön awak droe jih’, ‘kön syara Ma jih’, ‘gob mat aweuk’, ‘ureung di luwa pageu’, ‘jamok di luwa keuleumbu’, ‘awak gop’, and ‘awak blah déh laôt’. Those in power (i.e., the ‘us’) discriminated against some lecturers (i.e., the ‘them’) by not providing them equal opportunities in the institution, regardless of their quality and credentials. Othering that existed in the universities negatively affected their work enthusiasm, education quality, social justice, and equality. Consequently, othering must be eradicated so that the human resources recruitment and education in universities uphold the principles of transparency, equality, and accountability.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the integration of Acehnese words in Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI, or Indonesia Dictionary). The contribution of Acehnese words enriches Indonesian vocabulary as the national language. This study followed the descriptive-analytical research method using observational and note-taking techniques. The data source was the online version of KBBI, available on the following web page: https://kbbi.kemdikbud.go.id/. The data comprised the Acehnese vocabulary registered on KBBI and became part of the country's national language. The data analysis used Miles et al.’s (2014) models, consisting of condensation data, display data, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that 134 Acehnese words are integrated into Indonesian. The contribution of the Acehnese language to Indonesian was relatively small compared to the contribution of other local languages. Of 134 Acehnese words, they comprise nouns (70.90%), verbs (21.64%), adjectives (6.72%), and adverbs (0.75%). It was also revealed that the Acehnese words that had been integrated successfully into Indonesian came from 24 areas of use. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Acehnese language has enriched the Indonesian vocabulary, and this integration is integral to interlanguage word borrowing. The present study’s findings contribute to the national language digitalization policy, particularly the digitalization of the Indonesian language dictionary, especially to achieve the quality level of the national language dictionary.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the form of foreign cultures' acculturation in the short stories of Serambi Indonesia newspaper. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection was collected by conducting documentation techniques. To analyze the data, the researcher used content analysis with a literary anthropological approach. The data used were 12 short stories that were published in 2019. The results of the analysis show that the acculturation of foreign cultures from Hinduism, Buddhism, Arabic, and Europe is found in the Serambi Indonesia newspaper. Acculturation of foreign cultures originating from Hinduism and Buddhist is in the form of a culture of using ritual offerings and the takbiran parade by using a drum on the cultural elements of the religious system. Furthermore, the acculturation of Arab culture can be seen in the form of chanting poetry in art and the habit of wearing sarongs in living equipment systems. For the European cultural acculturation found in the form of the spread of brothels in the social system and the working culture as household assistants in the livelihood system.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the type, function, and linguistic form of dysphemia in Didong Jalu Arita Mude and Biak Cacak. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The technique used is listening, note-taking, and interview techniques. The data of this study are expressions containing dysphemia taken from the video of the performance of Didong Jalu Arita Mude with Biak Cacak. In data collection, 2 respondents participated in the interview and were justified by 2 other respondents. The results showed that in the Didong Jalu poem there were various types, functions and linguistic forms of dysphemia, namely; in the expressions mulaho, naru delahe, lenge mubute beloh gere mera, muperot, silent monkey, etc.
