Abstract

Abstrak: Upaya pelestarian dan pemeliharaan lingkungan agar terbebas dari limbah yaitu dengan cara pengolahan limbah dengan pola 3R. Konsep 3R mendorong masyarakat melakukan penanganan limbah dari sumbernya seperti pemilahan limbah dan pengemasan limbah dengan benar, mendorong penerapan konsep pemanfaatan sampah yang memiliki nilai ekonomi. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan tema ”Berkarya Tanpa Batas” merupakan kegiatan pengolahan limbah organik dan limbah anorganik yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kreatifitas masyarakat dalam penanganan limbah sehingga menambah wawasan masyarakat terhadap limbah yang dibuat dapat dijadikan kerajinan yang mempunyai nilai seni atau trash mode. Produk olahan sampah organik dan anorganik masyarakat terdiri dari tas dan bunga yang terbuat dari plastik. Sementara itu, kulit daun bawang putih diolah menjadi bunga. Pengolahan batok kelapa menjadi celengan, gelas, gantungan kunci, sendok, dan souvenir lainnya. Abstract: Efforts to preserve and preserve the environment so that it is free from waste is by way of waste treatment with the 3R pattern. The concept of 3R encourages people to handle waste from its source such as waste segregation and packaging of waste properly, encouraging the application of the concept of using waste that has economic value. Community Service with the theme "Working Without Borders" is an organic waste and inorganic waste treatment activity that aims to improve the skills and creativity of the community in handling waste so as to increase people's insight into the waste that can be made into handicrafts that have artistic value or trash mode. The processed organic and inorganic waste products of the community consist of bags and flowers made of plastic. Meanwhile, the skin of garlic leaves is processed into flowers. Processing coconut shells into piggy banks, cups, key chains, spoons, and other souvenirs.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian pada masayarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru Biologi tentang materi dan konsep IPA, dan meningkatkan kreatifitas serta menemukan cara-cara pendekatan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif sehingga materi mudah dimengerti oleh siswa, membantu guru mendiskusikan topik-topik yang kurang dipahami siswa sehingga guru bisa secara bersama-sama merencanakan pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan/penyuluhan berupa penguatan materi terutama di laboratorium, memberikan stimulasi kepada guru bagaimana mengembangkan ide dan pendekatan-pendekatan kreatif yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep yang diajarkan guru, membantu guru yang akan mengikuti ujian kompetensi guru agar lebih siap dan dan lebih memahami materi yang mungkin diujikan sebagai persiapan sertifikasi. Kegiatan PPM yang sudah dilakukan yaitu persiapan dengan mengadakan pertemuan dengan pihak Diknas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan untuk memantapkan proses pelaksanaan dengan mendatangkan guru-guru IPA SMP sebanyak 20 Orang yang berasal dari berbagai kecamatan yang ada di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Hasil analisis angket kompetensi guru-guru IPA didapat informasi pada aspek perencanaan memperoleh 68,74% dengan criteria cukup, hal yang sama terjadi pada evaluasi dengan nilai 65,65%. Sementara itu pada aspek pelaksanaan memperoleh 85,93% dengan criteria Baik sekali. Abstract: The purpose of this community service is to increase the understanding of Biology teachers about the material and concepts of science, and increase creativity and find ways of learning approaches that are creative and innovative so that the material is easily understood by students, helping teachers discuss topics that are less understood by students so that teachers can together plan better learning. Approach is done by providing training / counseling in the form of strengthening the material, especially in the laboratory, stimulating the teacher how to develop ideas and creative approaches that can help students understand the concepts taught by the teacher, help the teacher to be take the teacher competency test to be better prepared and understand better the material that might be tested in preparation for certification. PPM activities that have been carried out are preparations by holding a meeting with the Department of Education in the South Coastal District to strengthen the implementation process by bringing in 20 junior high school science teachers from various sub-districts in the South Coastal District. The results of the questionnaire analysis of the competence of natural science teachers obtained information on the planning aspects obtained 68.74% with sufficient criteria, the same thing happened in the evaluation with a value of 65.65%. Meanwhile in the aspect of implementation gained 85.93% with the criteria Very Good.

Abstract

Ikan kalui merupakan nama lokal dari ikan gurami di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, Sumatera Barat termasuk jenis ikan ekonomis tinggi. Terdapat lima strain ikan kalui yang tersebar di pembudidaya, yaitu Tambago, Palapah, Krista, Jepun, dan Merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengamati keragaman genetik strain ikan kalui atau gurami dengan menggunakan penanda RAPD. Sebanyak 50 sampel DNA ikan kalui diekstraksi dari sirip dan diamplifikasi secara random dengan menggunakan empat primer terbaik dari 20 primer OPA yaitu OPA-02, OPA-04, OPA-06, dan OPA-07. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan yang nyata secara genetik hanya terdapat antara strain ikan kalui Merah dengan Tambago dan Krista. Variasi genetik tertinggi diamati pada ikan kalui strain Krista dengan nilai heterogenitas 0,1756 kemudian diikuti berturut-turut oleh strain Merah (0,1735); Palapah (0,1480); Jepun (0,0594); dan Tambago (0,0203). Jarak rata-rata Nei genetik adalah 0,407, dengan nilai terendah yang teramati antara strain Tambago dan Palapah.Kalui is a local name of giant gouramy fish in West Sumatera Province that categorized as an high economically fish. Five strains of kalui are distributed to farmers i.e. Tambago, Palapah, Krista, Jepun and Merah. This research was conducted to observe the genetic variation of Kalui strains using RAPD marker. A total of 50 samples of whole DNA was extracted from kalui-giant gouramy finclip and randomly amplified using four of the best 20 primers (OPA i.e. OPA-02, OPA-04, OPA-06 and OPA-07). The results showed that Significant genetic differences were only observed between strain Merah-Tambago and Merah-Krista. The highest variability was observed in Krista with heterogeneity value of 0.1735 followed by Merah (0,1735), Palapah (0,1480), Jepun (0,0594) and Tambago (0,0203). The average Nei genetic distance was 0.407, with the lowest was observed between Tambago and Palapah.

Abstract

Fekunditas, diameter telur, dan kebiasaan makanan ikan merupakan bagian dari aspek reproduksi ikan yang sangat penting diketahui. Informasi ini dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi rekruitmen dan pemulihan stok ikan bujuk dalam rangka domestikasi dan budidaya. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januari-November 2010 pada habitat berbeda yaitu di Danau Singkarak-Sumatera Barat, perairan rawa banjiran Pematang Lindung Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur-Jambi, dan perairan Mentulik Kabupaten Kampar-Riau. Jumlah sampel yang diamati 30 gonad ikan betina TKG III dan IV masing-masing lokasi penelitian. Fekunditas total ikan bujuk dari Danau Singkarak 1.996±568 butir dengan diameter telur 1,35±0,09 mm; rawa banjiran Pematang Lindung-Jambi 2.196±866 butir dengan diameter telur 1,53±0,11 mm; dan rawa banjiran Mentulik Kampar-Riau 2.539±716 butir dengan diameter telur 1,70±0,14 mm. Makanan utama ikan bujuk adalah ikan (70,78%-89,01%) dan makanan pelengkap udang (5,81%-16,13%), katak (1,77%-4,25%), dan makanan tambahan serangga air (3,98%-9,80%). Berdasarkan jenis makanan tersebut, maka ikan bujuk termasuk kelompok ikan karnivora murni yang bersifat predator.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang biologi reproduksi ikan bilih di Danau Singkarak dilakukan pada bulan Januari –Desember 2010. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui distribusi ukuran, tingkat kematangan gonad, fekunditas dan pemijahan ikan bilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ukuran panjang ikan bilih betina matang gonad berkisar antara 70-109 mm dan bobot tubuh berkisar antara 6,4-8,7 gram, ikan jantan pada panjang antara 70-89 mm dengan bobot antara 4,5-6,6 gram. Persentase ikan betina yang memijah setiap stasiun berkisar 68,4-75,7% dan ikan jantan berkisar 73,4-78,4%. Pada saat memijah ikan bilih beruaya dari danau ke sungai Sumpur, Paninggahan dan Baing setiap hari dimulai pukul 16.00 hingga 23.00 WIB. Karakteristik habitat pemijahan mempunyai kecepatan arus sungai antara 10-15 m/detik, kedalaman perairan berkisar antara 20-40 cm, substrat dasar perairan terdiri dari kerikil dan karakal.Study of biology reproduction bilih fish on Lake Singkarak has done a series of studies in January and December 2010. The purpose of this study is to reveal the size distribution, gonada mature level, fecundity and spawning of bilih fish. The research proves that the size of mature female fish gonads bilih range in size of 70-109 mm with a weight of 6.4 to 8.7 g and males 70-89 mm and weighs 4.4 to 6.6 g. Percentage of female fish to spawn each research station ranged from 68.5-75.7 % and males 73.4-78.3%. Bilih spawning fish populations by conducting migration from lakes to rivers Sumpur, Paninggahan and Baing everyday starting at 16:00 until 23:00 am. Characteristics of spawning habitat with river flow velocity between 10-15 m / sec, water depth between 20-40 cm, bottom substrate consists of gravel and karakal.

Abstract

Pesatnya kegiatan penangkapan ikan bilih endemik di Danau Singkarak, sudah mengindikasikan penurunan populasi dan ukuran ikan tersebut. Oleh karena itu perlu dikelola agar dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Salah satu alternatif pengelolaannya adalah berbasis kearifan lokal. Untuk itu diperlukan kebijakan pengelolaan ikan bilih berbasis kearifan lokal yang ada pada masyarakat nelayan. berdasarkan analisis SWOT dari sembilan strategi yang diperoleh, maka tiga strategi yang menjadi prioritas utama pengelolaan ikan bilih yaitu (1) pengelolaan penangkapan ikan berbasis kearifan lokal dengan nilai manfaat 0,518, (2) pengelolaan habitat ikan melalui pembuatan reservat secara ko-manajemen dengan nilai manfaat 0,280 dan (3) pengelolaan populasi ikan melalui pembenihan dan restoking dengan nilai manfaat 0,202. Peraturan yang lebih baikdalam pengelolaan dan pelestarian ikan bilih adalah dengan hukum adat dengan nilai manfaat 0,095.Overfishing of bilih fish endemic in Singkarak lake indicated a decrease in population and size of the fish. Therefore, it is necessary to do a management in order a sustainable. One of the alternative management is based on local wisdom. The aim of this research was to determine of management priorities based on local wisdom that exist in the fish communities. From the research finding it can be explained that among the nine strategies which were obtained from the SWOT analysis, then the three strategies of the top priority of the management of bilih fish are (1) the management of fishing based on local wisdom with advantage value of 0.518, (2) management of fish habitat through the creation of reserves comanagement with a advantages value of 0.280 and (3) management of fish populations through hatchery and restocking with advantage value of 0.202. The better regulation in management and conservation bilih fish by customary law with adventages value of 0,095.

Abstract

This study aim to produce a valid and practical assessment instrument for higher order thinking skills on environmental pollution material at the C4-C6 cognitive level. The background of this research is that the questions made by the teacher are still at the C1-C3 level and there are still obstacles for teachers in developing higher order thinking skills assessment instruments, while in the 2013 curriculum teachers are required to be able to provide questions in the C4-C6 domain. This type of research is research development (Research and Development) which is a research method used to produce certain products. This type of research uses 3 stages of the 4-D model, namely the define, design and develop stages.Based on the research conducted, a very valid assessment instrument of 3,32 was produced by the validator, the empirical validity there were 30 valid questions and 10 invalid questions, the reliability in this study was 0,77 with the category of reliability, 94,79% teacher practicality and practicality. students amounted to 80,80%, the difficulty level of the questions was between 0,31 to 0,70 with moderate criteria and the question difference had sufficient criteria. This research can be used as a reference for other researchers related to the development of higher order thinking skills assessment instruments.

Abstract

his research is motivated by students who have difficulty in the online learning process is the low learning outcomes obtained from students. This study aims to analyze what factors influence the biology learning difficulties of students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 8 Padang during online learning and to determine the relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student biology learning outcomes. This research is descriptive research. The population of this research is class XI IPA which consists of 3 classes totaling 110 students. The research sample amounted to 33 students. The sampling technique is a random sampling technique with a sample proportion of 30%. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and then a t-test to determine the correlation. The results showed that the highest score of the student learning difficulty factor was 2.81, namely the motivation and interest in student learning factors, and the lowest difficulty factor obtained a score of 2.44, namely social interaction. There is a relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning with biology learning outcomes with a value of r = 0.520; the coefficient of tcount value of 4.642 is greater than ttable of 2.040, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student learning outcomes and there are suggestions for schools to be positive inputs in efforts to build and improve models. online/online learning and is also able to improve student learning and it is hoped that teachers and parents can recognize and observe online learning difficulties experienced by these students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pemecahan masalah berbasis materi pada sistem ekskresi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model 3-D 4-D yang terdiri dari Defin (definisi), Design (desain), dan Development (pengembangan). Subyek penelitian ini adalah dari 2 (dua) orang dosen sebagai validator tes, dan kepraktisan oleh 1 (satu) orang guru biologi dan 24 siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh dari angket validitas dan kepraktisan, yang disusun menggunakan skala likert kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa modul biologi berbasis pemecahan masalah tervalidasi yang valid baik dari komponen kelayakan isi (85%), komponen bahasa (83,33%) dan komponen penyajian (75%). Modul berbasis pemecahan masalah yang dihasilkan juga dikategorikan kepraktisan bagi guru komponen manfaat 79,17% dengan nilai 95% komponen Daya Tarik dengan nilai 80% komponen waktu belajar dengan nilai 93,75%. Dikategorikan praktis untuk 24 siswa dari komponen yang menggunakan nilai 86,04% komponen manfaat dengan nilai 88,54% aspek daya tarik dengan nilai 86,46% dan aspek waktu pembelajaran dengan nilai 94,79%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis masalah pada materi sistem ekskresi yang dihasilkan valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA. Development of problem solving-based biology modules on excretory system material for high school. This study aims to develop a problem solving-based module for learning excretion system. This type of research is a research development that uses a 3-D model of 4-D consisting of Defin (definition), Design (design), and Development (development). The subjects of this study were from 2 (two) lecturers as test validators, and practicality by 1 (one) biology teacher and 24 students of class XI of SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. The data of this study are primary data obtained from the validity and practicality questionnaire, which were compiled using a Likert scale and then analyzed with descriptive analysis. The results of the study are in the form of biology modules based on validated problem solving that are valid both from the content feasibility component (85%), the language component (83.33%) and the presentation component (75%). The resulting problem-solving based module was also categorized as practicality for the teacher 79.17% benefit component with a value of 95% Attractiveness component with a value of 80% the learning time component with a value of 93.75%. Categorized as practical for 24 students from components that use a value of  86.04% benefit component with a value of 88.54% the aspect of attractiveness with a value of  86.46% and  of learning aspect time with a value of 94.79%. This shows that the problem-based module on the excretion system material produced is valid and practical for use in biology learning in high school.
