Abstract

Passive learning leads to low student chemistry learning outcomes. This study aims to improve learning outcomes and students' critical thinking skills on thermochemical subject matter through problem-solving learning model with context-rich problems. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. Student learning result data obtained through formative test given at each end of the cycle and students' critical thinking skills adapted to the indicator of critical thinking. Learning outcomes show that classical completeness earns a score of at least 70 85% of the total number of students taking the evaluation test. The results showed that the results of classical evaluation in cycles I and II were 35% and 90%, respectively. Improvement of learning result that is 157%, and critical thinking ability of student in cycle I score that is 45% (uncritical category). In cycle II, the score achieved is 65% (critical category). Increased critical thinking ability reached 44.4%. We conclude that the application of problem-solving learning model with Context-rich problems can improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match method on the activities, interests, and learning outcomes of class VIII students of MTs Darussalam Bermi West Lombok. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of MTs Darussalam Bermi, while the study sample was 58 students. Class VIII C as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research instrument used was an observation sheet to obtain data on learning activities, questionnaires for learning interest data, and tests for student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis of student activity data in the control class, an average value of 71 was obtained with the active category, while the experimental class obtained an average value of 78 with a very active category. The average learning interest of students in the control class is 36.39 with a less high category, then in the experimental class, the average student interest is 45.73 with a fairly high category using the Make A Match method. Analysis of student learning outcomes data obtained an average value in the experimental class of 82.4 with the highest value of 100 and the lowest 72, while the average value of the control class was 76.1 with the highest value 88 and the lowest value 64. Based on the results of the t-test obtained t count is 17.43 and t table is 1.67, because tcount ≥ ttable, then there are differences in activities, interests, and learning outcomes using the Make A Match method in class VIII students of MTs Darussalam Bermi. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Make A Match method on science learning outcomes of class VIII students of MTs Darussalam Bermi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Prediction Guide berbantuan Mind Mapping terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SD SMP Negeri SATAP 2 Lingsar. Jenis penelitian ini Quasi Eksperimen (eksperimen semu). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan bentuk rancangan Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sampling jenuh. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 17 siswa untuk kelas kontrol dan 17 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil pada siswa kelas sampel dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, angket motivasi dengan jenis tertutup yang terdapat pernyatan positif dan negatif, dan tes hasil belajar kognitif dengan jenis pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 20 soal. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, angket motivasi dan tes hasil belajar kognitif pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Data angket motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t, hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa motivasi kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol, untuk uji-t motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh t hitung 10,55 sedangkan t tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% 2,04 sehingga t hitung > t tabel maka Ha diterima. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberi strategi pembelajaran Prediction Guide berbantuan Mind Mapping lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol, dan untuk uji-t hasil belajar kognitif siswa t hitung 6,39 sedangkan t tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% 2,04 sehingga t hitung > t tabel maka Ha diterima. Dengan demikian strategi pembelajaran Prediction Guide berbantuan Mind Mapping berpengaruh terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SD SMP Negeri SATAP 2 Lingsar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh multimedia terhadap keterampilan generic sains dan pemahaman konsep elektrokimia siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi experimental dengan model pretest posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam 2 kelas yaitu kelompok eksperimen dibelajarkan menggunakan multimedia interaktif, dan kelompok kotrol dibelajarkan dengan metode tanyajawab dan diskusi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains, dan soal pilihan ganda beralasan untuk instrumen pemahaman konsep. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif untuk keterampilan proses sains dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa untuk keterampilan proses sains dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 1 sebesar 69, kelas eksperimen 2 sebesar 60 dalam kategori tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol sebesar 58. Sedangkan untuk pemahaman konsep menggunakan uji anova satu jalur sebesar 0.892 lebih besar daripada nilai (α = 0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan generik sains siswa

Abstract

Bioteknologi merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang ditempuh pada semester VIII pada Program Study Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan IPA IKIP Mataram. Bioteknologi merupakan penerapan dari beberapa ilmu dengan memanfaatkan mahluk hidup ataupun bagiannya untuk menghasilkan suatu produk yang bertujuan untuk kesejahteraan manusia. Bahan ajar bioteknologi yang tersedia pada Program Study Pendidikan Biologi FPMIPA IKIP Mataram masih bersifat umum dan teoritis, sehingga mahasiswa hanya memahami secara teoritis tetapi kurang tanggap dan kritis dalam menanggapi berbagai potensi lokal yang ada di sekitarnya (kurang aplikatif). Selain itu belum tersedianya bahan ajar yang memanfaatkan berbagai potensi lokal, padahal lingkungan kita sangat beragam dan kaya akan berbagai potensi, dengan memanfaatkan berbagai potensi yang ada di lingkungan sekitar tentunya mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami bahan ajar secara teoritis tetapi juga lebih aplikatif dan peduli pada lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi lokal yang bisa dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan. Abstract

Di lingkungan kampus terdapat beberapa slogan mengenai kebersihan, akan tetapi masih sering ditemukan mahasiswa yang membuang sampah sembarangan, sehingga para mahasiswa perlu untuk membiasakan diri menjaga kebersihan lingkungan kampus dan sekitarnya, karena kebersihan lingkungan kampus tidak bisa hanya dibebankan pada cleaning service, tetapi merupakan tanggung jawab bersama sebagai warga kampus. Pendidikan karakter menamakan dasar agar mahasiswa mampu menghormati diri sendiri dan orang lain maupun lingkungan baik di dalam kelas, di luar kelas atau di lingkungan luas di tengah masyarakat. Pengintegrasian potensi lokal pada Pendidikan karakter akan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dan rasa rormat pada lingkungan, karena mahasiswa dapat secara langsung mengaplikasikan apa yang dipelajari pada lingkungan kampus ataupun lingkungan sekitarnya dengan menggali banyak potensi lokal yang bisa dijadikan sumber belajar dari lingkungan. Penelitian merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) terdiri dari 2 (dua) siklus dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: 1). Perencanaan, 2). Pelaksanaan, 3). Observasi dan Evaluasi, 4). Refleksi. Objek penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Semester 2  Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa: Lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, Lembar tes, dan lembar angket. Data-data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara diskriptif. Keterlaksanaan RPP siklus 1 dan siklus 2 mencapai 100% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan aktivitas mahasiswa pada siklus 1 mencapa1 85% dengan kategori baik dan meningkat pada siklus 2 mencapai 90% dengan kategori sangat baik. Evaluasi pembelajaran pada penelitian ini dilakukan setiap akhir siklus untuk memperoleh data tentang hasil belajar mahasiswa dan rasa hormat/kepedulian mahasiswa pada lingkungan kampus. Hasil belajar mahasiswa pada siklus 1 mencapai KK 82%, dan meningkat pada siklus 2 mencapai KK 89%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis angket diperoleh bahwa rasa hormat/kepedulian mahasiswa pada lingkungan kampus mencapai 85% dengan kategori tinggi dan meningkat mencapai  95% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Kesimpulan: Pengintegrasian potensi lokal pada mata kuliah Pendidikan karakter dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan rasa hormat mahasiswa pada lingkungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The available teaching materials, especially on the homology materials are still limited to the knowledge, not yet emphasized on the process, so some students become passive, and this certainly influences the learning outcomes. Homology deals with organs that have different structures, but they have the same function. This is very much happening around us, for it is very necessary to be discussed and demonstrated so as to maximize student activity. One of the solutions offered is the development of STAD-based teaching materials combined with guided inquiry. Through STAD students can discuss various matters related to homology in the surrounding environment, while through guided inquiry students can demonstrate homology, and certainly better understand the process from formulating the problem, formulating goals, formulating hypotheses, determining data collection, taking data, analyzing up to conclusion. This will certainly improve the mentality and self-confidence of the students. The purpose of this study is to develop STAD-based teaching materials combined inquiry on guided homology material. The type of this research is Research Development using model design of Dick & Carey and Paulina & Purwanto in Paizah (2011). The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire is then analyzed descriptively. The developed teaching materials contain; pre-introduction, introduction, summary, evaluation, and closing. Expert content validation results about 80% content presentation and 85% content presentation with good category, while material expert validation about material feasibility is 90% and material presentation is 87% with very good category. Individual test result of 88,17% with very good category. For that it is concluded that; The development of teaching materials with STAD method combined with guided inquiry on homology material is suitable for use.

Abstract

LKS which has been applied in schools has made students less developed scientific abilities. Worksheets that are used seem monotonous, use a colorless image, so it looks less attractive. Student worksheets are only given to be done by students, without having to guide students in solving problems contained in worksheets, and the worksheet does not contain what students have to do such as observing, analyzing, synthesizing, solving problems because there is no guidance to conduct experiments and scientific attitudes . So that makes students less able to think scientifically in learning, for that applied Experiment Based Biology Worksheet where Experiment Based Biology Worksheet can increase student activity. The purpose of this study is to apply biological worksheets to improve students' scientific abilities. This research includes Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles, each cycle has 4 stages including; planning, implementing, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The instruments in this study were the learning implementation observation sheet (RPP) and the scientific ability test sheet. Research data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that the results of the implementation of the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) in cycle 1 reached 75% in the good category and in cycle 2 it reached 90% in the very good category, while the students' scientific ability data in the first cycle reached 49.06 with the less scientific category , increased in second cycle reached 79.57 with the scientific category. The results of the study concluded that the application of experiment-based worksheet could improve students' scientific abilities.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Learning Problem Based Learning Model to cognitive learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 3 Jonggat Student Year 2016 / 2017. Type of research used in this study is Quasi Eksperimen.Rancangan research in this research is Only Post- test Control Goup Design and research sample that is class VIII A of 23 people as experimental class and class VIII B as many as 23 people as control class using observation sheet to know the result of cognitive learning. Technique of data analysis using T-test, from result Test of research hypothesis got result of calculation of post-test for titung equal to 8,85 and ttable value equal to 2,042 with error level 5% and dk = n1 + n2- 2 = 18 + 19 - 2 = 35 ie amounted to 2.042. So from the results of the calculation seen t count> ttable 8.85> 2.042 which means Ha accepted and Ho rejected so that it can be said that there is influence of learning model Problem Based Learning on student cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research are: 1) To know the influence of problem solving model based on contextual problem solving ability class VII SMPN 04 Kopang, 2) To know the influence of contextual model based on contextual learning of cognitive learning grade VII SMPN 04 Kopang. Research this study is Quasi experimental, with the design used is pre-test posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sampling technique used saturated sampling, so the class VIIA with the number of students 27 people as experimental class and class VIIB with the number of students 27 people as a control class. The research instrument consisted of data of problem solving test result in the form of test essay and cognitive learning result of the student in the form of multiple choice test. The data analysis technique of this research use the teded-t polledvarian for student problem solving and t separatedvarian-t test for students' cognitive learning outcomes. The result of research are: 1) Obtained average score of problem solving ability of experiment class problem is 49 is in good category and control class is 34 is in less good category while result of t test is t-count> t-table (24,28> 2,000), then Ha accepted Ho is rejected, (2) Data cognitive learning results obtained t-count> t-table (3.248> 2.056), then Ha received Ho is rejected, thus can be concluded that: 1) There is influence using problem solving model based on the contextual ability of problem solving students, 2) There is influence of using problem-solving model based on contextual to student cognitive learning outcomes.
