Abstract

Budaya keselamatan pasien merupakan dasar utama dalam keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh program mentoring terhadap penerapan budaya keselamatan pasien di ruang rawat inap di salah satu rumah sakit swasta di Semarang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment design: pretest-posttest with control group design, sampel yang digunakan 90 perawat (45 pada kelompok intervensi dan 45 pada kelompok kontrol). Hasil menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh antara penerapan budaya kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok intervensi sesudah progam mentoring (p= 0.056,2=  4.5 𝛼 = 0.1) dan RR 2.5. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang tidak mendapatkan program mentoring akan beresiko mengalami penurunan dalam penerapan budaya keselamatan pasien sebesar 2.5 kali lebih besar dibandingkan kelompok yang mendapatkan program mentoring keperawatan.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) merupakan program yang sedang gencar dianjurkan oleh pemerintah dan dinyatakan bahwa salah satu tujuannya adalah untuk menekan angka kematian ibu dan bayi. Banyak penelitian tentang IMD yang sudah dilakukan, namun masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak tahu tentang IMD khususnya para ibu hamil.Metode: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan tentang IMD terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bersifat Pre eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pretest postest desain. Sampel sebanyak 53 responden yakni ibu hamil. Pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Hasil: Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai p value adalah 0,001 (p < 0,1) dan 0,000 (p < 0,1). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan antara pendidikan kesehatan tentang Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu hamil. Diskusi: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka disarankan kepada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja puskesmas mampu mengakses berbagai informasi tentang IMD baik itu dari petugas kesehatan atau dari media lain. Bagi puskesmas meningkatkan upaya penyuluhan kesehatan tentang IMD kepada masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil.   Kata kunci: Pendidikan kesehatan, Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD), Pengetahuan dan Sikap.   ABSTRACT Introduction: Early Initiation of Breastfeeding is a program that being intensively recommended by governments and stated that one of its goals is to reduce the maternal and infant mortality rates. Many research have been done, however many people do not know about Early Initiation of Breastfeeding specially for pregnant women. Methods: This research is to know the influence of health education for  pregnant women?s  knowledge and attitudes. This research is a Pre experimentally approach with one group pretest posttest design. Sample of 53 respondents of pregnant women. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis used mc nemar test and acquired p value was 0,001 (p < 0,1) and 0,000 (p < 0,1). In this research it can be concluded that there was significant impact between health education about Early Initiation of Breastfeeding toward  pregnant women?s knowledge and attitude in the working area of Community Health Centers of Doro 02 Pekalongan Regent.  Discussion: Based on these results, it is recommended to pregnant women attitude in the working area of Community Health Centers of Doro 02 Pekalongan Regent to access a variety of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding information on health workers and other information media. And for  Community Health Centers is hoped to improve health education about Early Initiation of Breastfeeding to the public, especially pregnant women.   Keywords: Health Education, Early Initiation of Breastfeeding, Knowledge and Attitudes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Kecukupan zat gizi merupakan prasyarat yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan anak, termasuk di dalamnya perkembangan otak. Seorang siswa yang mengalami kekurangan zat gizi, dapat terjadi gangguan belajar, kemampuan bekerja kurang, kesakitan sampai kematian. Metode: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan tingkat kecerdasan kognitif anak usia sekolah di Madrasah Ibtida?iyah Islamiyah Reban Kecamatan Reban Kabupaten Batang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif asosiatif. Populasinya adalah semua siswa MII Reban Kecamatan Reban Kabupaten Batang sebanyak 78 siswa dan teknik samplingnya menggunakan total sampling atau mengambil semua anggota populasi menjadi sampel. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara status gizi dengan tingkat kecerdasan kognitif dinilai dari kecerdasan verbal, logika, dan numerik anak usia sekolah di Madrasah Ibtida?iyah Islamiyah Reban Kecamatan Reban Kabupaten Batang, diperoleh nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Diskusi: penelitian ini diharapkan puskesmas dapat bekerjasama dengan pihak sekolah untuk memberikan informasi tentang gizi kepada anak usia sekolah dasar, sehingga tingkat kecukupan gizi tetap seimbang dan kecerdasan kognitif semakin meningkat.   Kata kunci: Status Gizi, Kecerdasan Kogitif (Verbal, Logika, dan Numerik)   ABSTRACT Introduction: Betel chewing a hereditary tradition that is practiced by most people in Indonesia and being able to strengthen teeth Nutrient adequacy is an important prerequisite in child development, including brain development. A student with poor nutrition, learning disorders can occur, the ability to work less, the pain until death. Methods: This study aimed to determine the relationship between nutritional status with intelligence cognitive  the children's  school-aged  in Madrasah Islamiyah Ibtida'iyah Reban sub-district Reban Batang district.This research is descriptive associative. The population is all students MII Reban sub-district Reban Batang district as many as 78 students and a total sampling using sampling techniques or take all members of the population being sampled. Results: The results showed that there is a relationship between nutritional status assessed by the level of cognitive intelligence of verbal intelligence, logic, and numerical school-age children in Madrasah Islamiyah Ibtida'iyah Reban Reban Batang district, the value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05).  Discussion: this study are expected to cooperate with the health center to provide information about school nutrition to elementary school age children, so that the level remains balanced nutrition and cognitive intelligence is increasing.  Keywords: Nutritional Status, Intelligence Kogitif (Verbal, Logic, and Numerical)

Abstract

Background: As nurses play an important role in the implementation of patient safety in hospitals, competencies of patient safety should be developed and enhanced among nursing students. Self-assessment is a method that can be used to assess patient safety and its dimensions to help the students prepare themselves before entering the work life.Purpose: This study aimed to investigate differences in patient safety competencies between classroom and clinical settings among nursing students using a self-assessment method.Methods: A descriptive study using the Health Professional Education in Patient Safety Survey (H-PEPSS) questionnaire was conducted among 181 nursing students in a public university in Indonesia. Paired t-test, ANOVA, and independent t-test were performed to determine the comparison in the values of patient safety dimensions across classroom, clinical learning, and year of nursing course.Results: Nursing students showed a higher mean value in the classroom setting than the clinical setting. Out of the seven dimensions of patient safety competencies, “clinical safety” (M=4.36) and “communicate effectively” (M=4.29) obtained the highest score in classroom setting, while “adverse events” showed the lowest (M=4.03). In the clinical setting, “clinical safety” (M=4.19) and “communicate effectively” (M=4.12) obtained the highest score, while “working in teams” (M=3.82) was the lowest. The third-year students showed a better score than the fourth year in most dimensions.Conclusion: In this study, the patient safety competencies among nursing students were higher in the classroom setting than in the clinical setting. It is recommended to investigate the factors that can increase the achievement of patient safety competence among nursing student in the clinical setting.

Abstract

Background: The skills in effective communication and critical thinking are essential for nurses to apply appropriate judgments in the delivery of patient care. Classroom debates are evident to be an effective strategy that can be used to improve such skills. Unfortunately, research focusing on classroom debates to promote critical thinking and oral communication skills among nursing students has not been extensively explored.   Purpose: This study aimed to explore nursing students’ views of classroom debates as a learning strategy to enhance critical thinking and oral communication skills.Methods: A descriptive qualitative research design was employed in this study. Twelve students of the undergraduate program in nursing with classroom debate experiences and willingness to participate were purposively recruited for semi-structured interviews. Open-ended questions were used, and probing questions were also generated from the participants to get more detailed information. The interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using the inductive content analysis. Results: The results of the study identified five themes, including the acquisition of new knowledge, awareness and responsiveness to diverse viewpoints and arguments, learning structuring ideas and appropriate ways of presentation, development of other necessary skills, and challenges of classroom debates in nursing education.  Conclusion: Classroom debates promoted the development of critical thinking and oral communication skills, and offered students an opportunity to develop other necessary skills in the face of today’s complex healthcare. Classroom debates can be integrated into the curriculum and teaching practices of any nursing educational institutions.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Safety attitudes perawat merupakan komitmen perawat untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pasien melalui sikap maupun perilaku keselamatan. Transformational leadership diharapkan dapat mempengaruhi safety attitudes perawat.Tujuan: Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk meninjau berbagai publikasi tentang transformational leadersip dan safety attitudes perawat.Metode: Studi literatur ini dilakukan dengan meninjau 22 publikasi dari tahun 2002 sampai dengan tahun 2018, baik dari publikasi Nasional maupun Internasional yang berkaitan dengan transformasional leadership keperawatan dan safety attitudes perawat.Hasil: Transformational leadership berfokus pada idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, dan individualised consideration dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap safety attitudes perawat.Kesimpulan: Perawat memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan keselamatan pasien yang dirawat dirumah sakit. Upaya untuk mewujudkannya adalah dengan mengembangkan keterampilan kepemimpinan transformasional.
