Abstract

Each individual is born with diverse talents. One of the types of self-talent is the specific academic talent that potentially benefits for children's future. In this case, effective interpersonal communication between parents and children may influence the process of exploring and developing specific academic talents. This study aims to describe influential factors in the development of special self-talent and analyze how interpersonal communication can be used to assist the process. Accordingly, qualitative research conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation. This study interviewed 4 students with high achieving scores in the specific academic subject and their parent, as well as 1 teacher of supervising coordinator in SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda. The results show that effective interpersonal communication between parents and children played an important role to help the development of adolescent talents.

Abstract

Pengembangan potensi ekonomi kreatif pada generasi muda merupakan salah satu upaya dalam peningkatan kemampuan dan kemandirian ekonomi dan masyarakat di sebuah daerah/kota. Salah satu bentuk ekonomi kreatif adalah berupa produksi konten audio visual melalui platform Youtube melalui pembuatan konten video blog (vlog). Bukan menjadi suatu hal yang tabu dimana banyak sekali orang yang tidak lagi merasa canggung untuk berbagi cerita, kegemaran, maupun pengalaman pribadinya melalui internet. Dunia kini seolah tidak lagi memiliki batasan dan tidak lagi memiliki kerahasiaan yang dapat ditutupi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menciptakan dan membentuk mental kreatif dan inovatif pada diri masyarakat. Kita tahu sendiri bahwasannya masyarakat merupakan penopang perekonomian negara. Ketika masyarakat memiliki daya saing yang tinggi dan kreatif maka akan membantu negara atau pemerintah dalam upaya mengambangkan perekonomiannya. Bukan hanya itu ketika rakyatnya produktif dan pendapatan per kapita naik maka negarapun akan mendapatkan dampak baiknya yakni mendapat perhatian dari banyak pihak karena dianggap negara maju dan berkembang dari sisi perekonomian.

Abstract

Trend wirausaha kini sudah menyentuh beragam kalangan, salah satunya adalah kalangan remaja. Pengabdian ini menyasar pada siswa-siswi SMK yang berusaha menanamkan soft skill dalam bidang kewirausahaan dengan memiliki beragam produk siap jual. Namun, ketika branding tidak mampu dikonsep dengan baik maka akan berdampak bagi pendapatan penjualan serta kesinambungan dari bisnis yang dijalankan. Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi dari pendidikan vokasional merupakan Sekolah Menengah yang memuat di dalamnya pendidikan berdasarkan pada skill dan keterampilan siswa-siswinya. Kegiatan PKM ini dimulai dari pra survey tim PKM ke pihak sekolah, implementasi kegiatan sosisalisasi dan workshop, nilai tambah produk hingga evaluasi produk wirausaha.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication between parents and deaf children is needed in fostering positive behavior in children. The quality of the relationship that parents give to their children can determine the moral quality and personality of the child. This study aims to determine, describe how the interpersonal communication of parents who have deaf children can form positive behavior. The type of research used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative, the data source uses non-probability sampling with the sampling technique used is snowball sampling. The results of this study indicate that the 3 key-informants have different ways of teaching deaf children, but still produce positive behavior, deaf children become independent, openness between parents and children, self-confidence of deaf children in interacting with other individuals. built by parents produce positive behavior for children who are deaf. Not being able to use sign language is not one of the obstacles in teaching deaf children to communicate, with body movements and facial expressions as non-verbal language can still make children understand and balanced with verbal language such as using oral in communicating makes children can adapt to the community environment, and have positive behavior.

Abstract

The new era of rapid development of information technology today not only affects some aspects, but also activities carried out by PR (Public Relations) practitioners. This indirectly requires PR practitioners to face changes, namely the transition from the conventional era to the digital era. Conventional to digital PR activities are also known as Cyber Public Relations (CPR). One of the challenges of PR in the digital world is managing negative opinions from the public that can affect the positive image built by the organization. Currently, police agencies are one of the state institutions that are vulnerable to negative public opinion and are often threatened by their reputation in the eyes of the public. Therefore, this research aims to examine the implementation of Cyber Public Relations of Samarinda Police in shaping a positive image in the eyes of the community and what obstacles are experienced to form a positive image. In this research, the theory used is the Excellence of Public Relations theory. To reveal these issues thoroughly and in depth, this research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to explain the situation and conditions of Cyber Public Relations activities of Samarinda Police. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Cyber Public Relations by the Public Relations of Samarinda Police has not been carried out comprehensively. CPR activities of Samarinda Police only reach the level of press agentcy and public information, Public Relations also has not involved the community in CPR activities to improve their image. Some of the obstacles experienced by Samarinda Police Public Relations are related to the lack of human resources and interaction from the public in the media they manage.
