Abstract

Expansion or establishment of new regions (Provinces, Regencies/Cities) is a consequence of the politics of decentralization implemented in Indonesia. The development of decentralization in Indonesia underwent fundamental changes after the reformation in 1998. Inception of UU No 22 tahun 1999 concerning regional government has given a new color to the administration of government in Indonesia or what is called broad autonomy. Restructuring regional governments that provide discretion in the form of broader authority in running their government in accordance with regional needs has created many implications for the region, one of which is stretching and the spirit of the region to bloom. In determining the boundaries of forming new regions, the geospatial aspect is an important and strategic aspect. Problems related to geospatial aspects such as maps of regional boundaries, area size, etc are issues that need to be clearly defined and calculated in the new (autonomous) regional (Province, Regency/City) determination. But in fact the law on the formation or establishment of regions in the period 1950-1999 on the geospatial aspect did not become an important part so that it caused problems later which could potentially trigger social conflicts such as regional boundary disputes. Post-reformation, the development of the role of the geospatial aspects has evolved a little more advanced, such as the existence of regional boundary maps in the appendix to the law on the formation or expansion of new regions, such as UU No 7 tahun 2002, UU No 2 tahun 2003, and others. However, there is still something that must be evaluated regarding the map in the attachment to be in accordance with the geospatial rules. A very progressive development in terms of the geospatial aspect is in UU No 20 tahun 2012 concerning the formation of the Kalimantan Utara province that utilizes geospatial data properly

Abstract

Sembulang is located in a strategic maritime location and supports the majority of the local population to work as fishermen. In addition, Sembulang is also directly adjacent to the waters of Mubut Island which is one of the favorite tourist attractions in Batam and also to the waters leading to Bintan and Tanjungpinang, making it a popular port for people in that location. However, until now there has not been an official sea map or cruise line map for traditional fishing boats / local transportation to support economic and tourism activities there. The flow of a cruise is very closely related to the depth of a waters. Water depth data can be used by fishermen and boat captains as a reference when they are sailing across Sembulang Beach. The purpose of this study was to analyze the bathymetry conditions in Sembulang Beach, Galang, which were used as a reference for safe and efficient ship grooves considerations. Bathymetry mapping is done by using multibeam echosounder to create a seafloor topographic map at the research location which is then analyzed based on the depth and width of the cruise line which is ideal for the specifications of traditional fishing vessels. Based on the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that only ships with size <5 GT with the form of "V" Pump Boat, "V", "V" High Bow, "V" Katir, "V" Without Katir, "U" Katir and 5 GTs with safe "U" and "V" shapes to be anchored at Sembulang pier. In other words, traditional fishing boats with a size of GT 10 GT are not recommended to dock at the pier.

Abstract

Abstract

Batam city is the main route for the entry of Indonesian tourism visits. With a record of foreign tourist arrivals, the third largest number behind Bali and then Jakarta. Setokok Island is administratively included in Bulang District, which is located in Batam City, Riau Islands Province. Setokok Island has 24 islands but only 5 are inhabited. Astronomically, Setokok Island is located on the lines 0.92588⁰N and 104.05856⁰E. Most people and tourists do not know about the existence of tourist objects in Setokok Village, because of the lack of spatial information about the location of tourist objects in Setokok Village. A promotional media is needed to provide information and the existence of Setokok Island attractions. The initial step taken by the researcher was collecting data in the form of data information such as tourism potential, addresses, and existing facilities on Setokok Island. Then a location survey was carried out by selecting the coordinates of each Setokok Island tourist attraction, and continued with data processing and usability testing. The results of the Setokok Island tourism WebGIS test using the SUS (System Usability Scale) method are acceptability ranges with a marginal high predicate, which is interpreted in the form of respondents in the view that this WebGIS has been made well. Then the results of the grade scale with the predicate D and the adjective rating with the predicate good, which means that the Setokok Island tourism WebGIS has been well received by the respondents and is suitable for use.

Abstract

Human activities in the Juwana Estuary impact increasing sedimentation, including industry, fish processing, ponds, and settlements. Increased sedimentation every year can lead to the formation of new land. In the long term, sedimentation will impact shoreline changes due to the formation of new land. This study aims to determine changes in Total Suspended Solid (TSS) concentration and shoreline values in the Juwana River Estuary. Increased sedimentation can be indicated based on water turbidity and TSS values—an effective method for observing TSS and coastline using remote sensing. The data for this study uses Sentinel-2 imagery. The TSS processing algorithm uses Laili, Liu, and C2RCC. TSS results using the C2RCC algorithm show the best regression results between image TSS and in situ TSS with an R2 of 0.721 compared to other algorithms. In 2015-2018 the average TSS value decreased by 2.303 mg/l. Processing results show the largest TSS reduction value of 12.466 mg/l on the Juwana Coast. The TSS value in 2018-2021 shows an average decrease of 4.447 mg/l; the largest decrease, with a value of 19.3 mg/l, is in the Batangan Coast. The coastline is extracted from image data using the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) algorithm. In 2015-2018 changes in the coastline were dominated by abrasion, covering an area of 35.2348 ha with a maximum distance of 143.78 m. In 2018-2021 changes in the coastline were dominated by abrasion, covering an area of 10.28224 ha with a maximum distance of 53.23 m. It can be interpreted that a decrease in TSS indicates a decrease in sedimentation, causing increased abrasion around the coastline.
