Pangan merupakan kebutuhan primer manusia, sehingga sebagai salah satu aspek penting dalam menjamin kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan diselenggarakan dengan dengan desa mitra yakni Desa Diloniyohu, Kecamatan Boliyohuto, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dilakukan beberapa tahap yakni survey lokasi, kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan, pendampingan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Pada kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan pengukuran pengetahuan dan diperoleh gambaran pengetahuan masyarakat terkait manfaat pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan 20% untuk peningkatan nilai ekonomi, 50% untuk peningkatan nilai kerjasama, 10% peningkatan nilai konservasi dan 20% peningkatan nilai ketahanan pangan. Kegiatan evaluasi menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan pada masyarakat yang berdampak pada peningkatan ketersediaan sayuran tingkat rumah tangga serta peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat setempat. Food is a primary human need, so it is an important aspect in ensuring the welfare of society. Community service activities in the form of community empowerment through optimizing the use of yards were held with partner villages, namely Diloniyohu Village, Boliyohuto District, Gorontalo Regency. This community empowerment activity was carried out in several stages, namely survey location, training about yard land use, mentoring on yard land use and evaluation of community service activities. In the training activities, knowledge measurement was carried out and an overview of the community's knowledge regarding the benefits of using yard land was carried out by 20% for increasing economic value, 50% for increasing the value of cooperation, 10% for increasing the value of conservation and 20% for increasing the value of food security. Evaluation activities show that there has been an increase in the use of yard land in the community which has an impact on increasing the availability of vegetables at the household level and increasing the economy of the local community.
