Abstract

This research aims to prove the effectiveness of using audiovisual media in learning to write drama scripts for students. The population in this research were students of class XII Social Science which collected 90 people from three classes. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique in order to obtain 2 classes as the experimental and control classes. The research design was a quasi-experimental. The instrument used is a drama writing test. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis in the form of independent t-test. The results showed that the group using audiovisual media obtained better results than audio media. The results of the study were evidenced by a t-test which showed that audiovisual media was effectively used in learning to write drama scripts. The implication of this research is that teachers can improve students' ability to write Indonesian drama scripts using audiovisual media. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan keefektifan penggunaan media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPS yang berjumlah 90 orang dari tiga kelas. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 2 kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes menulis drama. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial berupa independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang menggunakan media audiovisual memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan media audio. Hasil penelitian tersebut dibutikan dengan uji-t yang menunjukkan bahwa media audiovisual efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menulis naskah drama bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan media audiovisual.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the use of Indonesian standard in headline news in newspaper discourse relate to the diction/vocabulary; writing; sentence structure; and use of vernacular languages, and foreign terms. This research focuses on the use of Indonesian standard in the headline newspaper of Harian Fajar newspaper. This research is a qualitative method of content analysis. The source data are from daily Harian Fajar Tajuk Newspaper. The result showed that the diction or vocabulary in the discourse of headline news used language hyperbole, oxymoron, and personification. The writing word such as acronyms, technical terms. The majority of the style of language used by the writer is hyperbole. The writer used many acronyms. The technical terms are dominated by English vocabulary. The writing is not appropriate, namely: the writing of the word, the error in the writing of letters, capital letters, the compound word, and preposition di. Particle that often arise in the writing errors is pun. These of punctuation is not appropriate, namely the use of comma, in the details of words and the use of hyphen in the decoding in the words. The sentence structure in the form of the head line news of Harian Fajar is to be a symbol (+), proverbs, advice, and imperative sentence. The ambiguous sentence, conjunction occur due to improving is not appropriate, ie: untuk kemudian, padahal agar, mesti, sehingga, jadi, karena, disebabkan oleh, dan bahwa. Many sentences found in the data are ineffective. One of the reasons is became of a combination of the two ideas in a sentence. There is a tendency of the writer to write down his words affix me- writer the based words only and many sentences do not have clear subject.

Abstract

Elong sagala of ma’bakkang ritual i Gattareng Matinggi: semiotic riview of Rifaterre. Thesis of Regional Language and Literature Department, Makassar State University. The data in this study is the elong sagala text contained in the ma'bakkang ritual in Gattareng Matinggi village using Riffaterre's semiotic theory based on heuristic and hermeneutic reading as a scalpel to find out the meaning of language and literary conventions. This research is qualitative. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and then drawing conclusions. The object of this research is the elong sagala text of ma'bakkang ritual in Gattareng Matinggi village which is analyzed based on the heuristic and hermeneutic readings of Riffaterre's semiotic theory. The results of the analysis based on heuristic readings found that elong sagala text data was not linguistically structured, there were words that did not have a literal meaning, used many repetitions in each stanza, and used a lot of metaphors. Then the meaning based on Elong sagala hermeneutic reading, namely based on the literary convention of the elong sagala text, it was found that the Gattareng Matinggi community lived side by side with Islamic religious beliefs and adhered to animism. Then the elong text describes a situation filled with suffering, fear, anxiety, and hope. Based on the results of the analysis of the text of elong sagala revealed that elong sagala is a spell to prevent smallpox. A disease that usually affects children.

Abstract

The Effect of Mastery of Diction and Language Style on the Ability to Write Buginese Poetry in Class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo.This research is a pre-experimental study that aims to describe the influence of diction and language style mastery on the ability to write Bugis poetry in class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo. The independent variable in this study is the mastery of diction and language style, while the dependent variable is writing Bugis poetry. The population in this study were 30 students of class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that (1) The mastery of diction of class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo obtained an average score of 78.26 in the medium category (2) Mastery of the language style of class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo obtained an average score 79.14 with the moderate category, (3) there is a significant influence between the mastery of diction and language style on the ability to write Bugis poetry in class X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo because the significance value of diction mastery is 0.481 and the value of language style mastery is 0.161, which means the significance value greater than α 0.05.Keywords: Influence, Diction and Language Style, Writing Bugis Poetry.Abstrak: Pengaruh Penguasaan Diksi dan Gaya Bahasa Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Bugis Siswa Kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan ada tidaknya pengaruh penguasaan diksi dan gaya bahasa terhadap keampuan menulis puisi Bugis siswa kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penguasaan diksi dan gaya bahasa sedangkan veriabel terikatnya adalah menulis puisi Bugis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo sebanyak 30 siswa. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa (1) Penguasaan diksi siswa kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo memperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,26 dengan kategori sedang (2) Penguasaan gaya bahasa siswa kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo memperoleh nilai rata-rata 79,14 dengan kategori sedang, (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penguasaan diksi dan gaya bahasa terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi Bugis siswa kelas X IPA II SMA Negeri 9 Wajo karena diperoleh nilai signifikasi penguasaan diksi 0.481 dan nilai penguasaan gaya bahasa 0.161 artinya nilai signifikansi lebih besar dari α 0.05.

Abstract

Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Gambar Terhdap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanete Riaja Kabupaten Barru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media gambar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi bahasa Bugis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitianOne Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni tes yang dibagi menjadi pretest dan posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanete Riaja Tahun Ajaran 2020-2021 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 117 orang. Analisis data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferesial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi bahasa Bugis sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari signifikansi 0,05 (0.000 < 0,05), maka hipotesis (Ha) dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan diterima. Artinya, bahwa variabel penggunaan media gambar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to elaborate on the use of grammatical cohesion student assignment. The research method is content analysis. Data source is the text contained in the student assignment Indonesian Language and Literature Education. The data in the form of grammatical cohesion. Data analysed with the method content analysis. The results showed that: first, the pronouns. The use of pronouns we and they are often used in stringing sentences students conducted again. Second, the substitution. Substitution that occurs in the tasks students are generally limited to the replacement of the word or group of words with pronouns. Third, the elepsis. Elepsis in student assignments sometimes occur due to the removal of appropriate words must be present in the sentence. Fourth, conjunctions. Conjunctions are used in student writing right there and some are not appropriate. Abstract

The research aimed to analyze adverbial anaphora resistance in students’ descriptive texts at the Department of Indonesian Language Education and Literature, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. The problem “How is adverbial anaphora (resistance) was presented in the descriptive texts written by the students? A descriptive qualitative content analysis was employed in the research. Data collection was performed through documentation of the five-semester students’ descriptive texts. The results show that adverbial anaphora resistance in the students’ descriptive texts consists of: (1) anaphora within adverbs of place (ini “this” and di sana “there” that occupy a different position); (2) anaphora within adverbs of time (tahun “year”, pagi hari “in the morning”, and malam hari “at night”); (2) anaphora within adverbs of purpose (bagi “for” and untuk “to”); (4) anaphora within adverbs of comparison (seperti “like”); (5) anaphora within adverbs of cause (sebab “cause” and karena “because”). Adverbial anaphora is highly associated with the placement of words, the relationship between words and phrases, or interrelationship among sentences. The limited number of adverbial anaphora produced by the students originates from the students’ lack of competence in writing a text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki keunggulan karena dapat diajdikan sebagai acuan dalam pembinaan karakter manusia di perguruan tinggi. Desain penelitian yang menggambarkan penelitian secara objektif. Peneliti mengamati secara mendalam dan melakukan analisis guna menemukan muatan kearifan lokal dan pendidikan karakter dalam cerpen Indonesia. Pengumpulan data referensi yang relevan dengan objek peneliti, memilah dan mengkategorisasikan data yang ditemukan, mengolah data, dan selanjutnya menyajikan data secara objektif. Hasil penelitian yaitu: Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam jenis muatan kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam cerpen Indonesia adalah sebahagai berikut: Jenis budaya: tinggi 55 (34,38%), sedang 45 (28,13%), dan rendah 60 (37,5%), jenis norma: tinggi 60 (37,5%), sedang 45 (28,13%), dan rendah 55 (34,38%), jenis etika: tinggi 55 (34,38%), sedang 50 (31,25%%) dan rendah 55 (34,38%), jenis kepercayaan: tinggi 65 (41%), sedang 45 (28%), dan rendah 50 (31%), jenis adat istiadat: tinggi 50 (31,25%) sedang 60 (37,5%%) dan rendah 50 (31,25). jenis karakter rasa ingi tahu mencapai tinggi 100 (62,5%), sedang 40 (25%), dan rendah 20 (12,5%), jenis karakter senagat kebangsaan mencapai tinggi 70 (43,75%), sedang 60 (37,5%), dan rendah 30 (18,75%), jenis karakter cinta tanah air mencapai tinggi 60 (37,5%), sedang 50 (31,25%), dan rendah 50 (31,25%), , dan rendah 50 (31,25%), jenis karakter menghargai prestasi mencapai tinggi 70 (43,75%0, sedang 50 (31,25%), dan rendah 40 (25%). jenis karakter bersahabat mencapai tinggi 100 (62,5%), sedang 30 (18,75%), dan rendah 30 (18,75%), jenis karakter cinta damai mencapai 60 (37,5%), sedang 50 (31,25%), dan redah 50 (31,25%), jenis karakter gemar membaca mencapai tinggi 150 (93,75%), sedang 10 ( 6,25), jenis karakter peduli lingkungan mencapai tinggi 150 (93,75%), sedang 10 (6,25%), jenis karakter peduli social mencapa itinggi 150 (93,75%) sedang 10 (6,25%), dan jenis karakter tanggung jawab mencapai tinggi 100 (100%), sedang sedang dan rendah 0 (0%).

Abstract

This study aims to describe:(1) the pattern of maintaining the Mandar language by the Mandar tribe domiciled in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, (2) describing the supporting factors for the maintenance of the Mandar language by the Mandar tribe living in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research using an ethnographic approach which is also supported by a sociolinguistic approach. This research was conducted in one of the domicile places of the Mandar tribe, namely Toddoppuli Raya, precisely in Toddopuli RW 006 RT 002 Borong Village, Manggala District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi. Data collection techniques in this study were interview techniques, questionnaires and recording protocols. Data analysis techniques were carried out by processing data related to data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions.The results of the study indicate the patterns and factors that support the maintenance of the Mandar language by the Mandar tribe who live in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The pattern of maintaining the Mandar language by the Mandar tribe who lives in Makassar, South Sulawesi, which was found to consist of two domains, namely: (1) family with husband-wife pattern → BM 57.2%, BI 14.3%, mixed BM, BI 28 ,6% BM persisted, father-child → BM 57.2%, mixed BM, BI 42.9% BM persisted, father-parents → BM 85.8%, mixed BM, BI 14.3% BM persisted, Grandpa /Grandmother→BM 85.8%, mixed BM, BI 14.3% BM persisted. (2) the realm of neighborhood/neighborhood patterned Neighborhood/neighborhood→BI 42.9%, mixed BM, BI 57.2%, BM persisted. The supporting factors that influence the maintenance of the Mandar language by the Mandar tribe who live in the city of Makassar, South Sulawesi are several factors, namely: (1) living environment, (2) loyalty, (3) language pride, (4) awareness of language norms.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that carefully analyzes the poetry anthology of Nyanyian Akar Rumput by Wiji Tukul. The purpose of this study was to describe the form of vocabulary, grammar, and text structure of anti-capitalism in Wiji Tukul's poetry anthology Nyanyian Roots and its contribution to poetry learning in SMA Class X. The instrument of this research was research worksheets and researchers. The data of this research are in the form of words, expressions, phrases and clauses that contain anti-capitalism, while the data source used is the anthology of poetry Nyanyian Akar Rumput by Wiji Tukul. Data collection techniques are reading, documentation, and note-taking methods. Data were analyzed through data collection, data processing, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that (1) aspects of vocabulary that contain elements of anti-capitalism include the use of synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, euphemistic expressions, formal vocabulary, expressive values, and metaphors. These aspects can be used as a medium for learning poetry in high school class X; (2) grammatical aspects that contain elements of anti-capitalism in the form of agents, numbers, declarative models, grammatical questions, and our relational modalities. These aspects can be used as a medium for learning poetry in high school class X; and (3) aspects of the structure of the text that contain elements of anti-capitalism including one-way communication, interruptions, and formulations. These aspects can be used as a medium for learning poetry in high school class X. Keywords: Anti-capitalism, Poetry, Vocabulary, Grammar, Text Structure
