Abstract

Many postpartum mothers die from perineal injuries. Perineal infection can occur if the perineal wound is not treated correctly and correctly. This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of healing wounds perineum postpartum mothers using green betel leaves and pure honey. This type of research is pre-experimental using one pretest group-posttest design. The number of 20 samples is determined by purposive sampling. Intervention is done using betel leaf decoction water to rinse perineal wounds for one week. Water is made from 5 sheets of betel leaves boiled with 1000 millilitres of water for 30 minutes to 600 millilitres. Data collection uses observation sheets filled in before and after the intervention. Analysis of data using the McNemar test obtained the result of the P-value 0.021 with the meaning <0.05. The results showed an effect of giving green betel leaf water and consuming pure honey to heal perineal wounds in postpartum mothers, so it is recommended that postpartum mothers suffering from perineal wounds use a decoction of green betel leaf water to rinse the perineum and consumption. Pure honey because of the benefits and content obtained in green betel leaves and pure honey in healing perineal wounds.

Abstract

Masa usia sekolah merupakan masa dimana perkembangan kemampuan dan ketrampilan berjalan cepat yang merupakan landasan perkembangan berikutnya, sehingga setiap masalah atau penyimpangan sekecil apapun akan mengurangi kualitas sumber daya manusia dikemudian hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan prilaku anak usia sekolah (9-12 tahun) mengenai kebersihan tangan dan kuku. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang disajikan secara deskriptif eksploratif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam (Indepth Interview), dan observasi langsung penampilan remaja sehari-hari di masyarakat. Waktu pelaksanaan pada bulan Agustus s/d Nopember 2016. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa Siswi Anak Usia Sekolah (9-12 Tahun)yang duduk di kelas IV dan Kelas VI tahun pelajaran 2016/2017, sedangkan subjek penelitian diambil secara purposive yang berjumlah 6 orang yang terdiri dari informan utama 4 orang siswa , yaitu 2 orang , siswa SD GMIM 92 Bailang Kec Molas yang terletak jauh dari pusat kota dan 2 orang siswa SD Negeri 55 Manado yang dekat dengan pusat kota.Dan untuk informan triangulasi 2 orang yaitu, Kepala Sekolah SD GMIM 92 Bailang dan Kepala Sekolah SD SD Negeri 55 Manado. Analisa data menggunakan metode content analysis (analisis isi) yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, verivikasi data, kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif dengan berpikir induktif yaitu pengujian data yang bertitik tolak dari data yang terkumpul, kemudian dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Disimpulkan bahwa anak Usia Sekolah (9-12 tahun) baik di Sekolah dasar yang di pinggiran Kota Manado dan di Sekolah dasar dekat dengan pusat Kota Manado sebelum diberikan pemutaran video dan diberikan leaflet tentang Kebersihan Tangan yaitu dengan cara mencuci tangan dengan benar dan tepat anak usia sekolah (9-12 tahun), belum mengetahui dan mengerti tentang cara mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan 7 langkah, namun setelah diberikan pemutaran video dan pemberian leaflet anak usia sekolah (9-12 tahun), sudah mengerti dan memahami bahkan sudah dapat melakukan cara mencuci tangan dengan benar dan tepat. Anak Usia Sekolah (9-12 tahun) baik di Sekolah dasar yang di pinggiran Kota Manado dan di Sekolah dasar dekat dengan pusat Kota Manado sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pemutaran video dan diberikan leaflet tentang Kebersihan kuku mereka, sudah mengetahui dan mengerti tentang kebersihan kuku dan dapat melaksanakan sendiri pemotongan kuku yang panjang dan membersihkan kuku yang kotor.

Abstract

Background: Dysmenorrhea is pain in the lower abdomen that is felt before, during and even after menstruation. The percentage of the incidence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is 55%, but only a few perform examinations in health services. Efforts to reduce dysmenorrhea can be done in two ways, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Pharmacological means can be given analgesic drug therapy. While the non-pharmacological method is one of them by giving carrot juice and deep breathing relaxation. Objective: To compare the effectiveness between consuming carrot juice and deep breathing relaxation on the reduction of dysmenorrhea. Methods: Literature review was conducted critically on the scientific sites Science Direct, PubMed, Elsevier, Garuda, and Google scholar using the keywords dysmenorrhea, carrot juice, and deep breath relaxation. Results: The search results obtained 175 articles but only 15 articles consisting of 9 articles describing carrot juice with dysmenorrhea and 6 articles describing deep breath relaxation with dysmenorrhea. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving carrot juice and relaxation of deep breaths on decreasing the scale of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), before, during and even after menstruation.

Abstract

Background : Uterine involution during the puerperium must go well so efforts are needed to accelerate uterine involution, one of which is consuming sweet potato leaves. Sweet potato leaves have nutrients that can help mothers reduce involution more quickly, and can also increase milk production. An increase in the hormone oxytocin can reduce the height of the uterine fundus. Objective : Knowing the effect of giving sweet potato leaves to reduce uterine involution in postpartum women at the Sifra Langowan maternity clinic. Methods : This research usesQuasi-experimental design with a plan one-group pretest – posttest design. The sample of this research was postpartum mothers from the 1st to the 7th day as many as 15 respondents, determined by means purposive sampling. Data was collected using an observation sheet which contained a number of indicators for evaluating decreased uterine involution in writing which were filled in before and after the intervention was given. Data analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test. Results : Test results Paired sample T-Test There is an effect of sweet potato leaves on reducing uterine involution in postpartum women at the Sifra Langowan maternity clinic. recommendations for postpartum mothers to consume sweet potato leaves regularly during the postpartum period to help reduce uterine involution
