Abstract

The development and management of irrigation infrastructure from a historical perspective is closely related to national food security. In infrastructure management, irrigation must meet the needs of farmers. Every plant needs sufficient water to increase agricultural productivity and farmer's welfare. Meeting water needs requires adequate irrigation and drainage channels in each area. One of them is Jombatan Village, which is a village located in Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. Optimising the performance of irrigation and drainage channels in Jombatan Village requires a concrete step. This irrigation and drainage literature review discuss optimising the performance of irrigation and drainage channels. All irrigation and drainage canal buildings have the same conditions; namely, the walls of the buildings are overgrown by plants and moss, some of the walls of the canal buildings are damaged due to the lack of strength of the building structure. The effectiveness of irrigation and drainage channels in Jombatan Village is still not optimal because infrastructure maintenance is still lacking, and community knowledge is still lacking.

Abstract

There are age, education level, and duration of farmers in cultivating rice, are social factors that need to be studied to determine the extent to which these factors affect the implementation of IPM on farmers. This study aims to determine the relationship between social factors of farmers with the level of application of integrated pest control technology (IPM) in Dsn. Banjardowo district. Jombang. The research method used is descriptive analysis method, with a variable consisting of 2 variables, namely the X variable which consists of age, education and duration of farming, and 2 Y variables which consist of the application of IPM. The research population amounted to 112 respondents with a sample of 20 respondents. The questionnaire data collection technique (questionnaire) was used as a measurement with an ordinal scale or score. The factors of age, education level and duration of farming are significantly related to the level of implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Banjardowo Hamlet, Banjardowo Village, Jombang District.

Abstract

The community service carried out aims to train the community to make appropriate technology tools in the form of a simple granular fertilizer applicator on dry land to increase fertilization efficiency. Service activities in Rejosopinggir Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency, East Java. The implementation of community service activities will be carried out in November 2021. The implementation of community service activities uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method, which is an approach model in community development. This approach is an approach that leads to the understanding and internalization of assets, potential, strengths, and their utilization independently and maximally. The community is one of the assets for a region that can participate in filling development. Communities in village areas can collaborate based on the existing potential, both human resources and natural resources. The activity was carried out in collaboration with groups and partners. This implementation was participatory, group teams and partners join involved in each activity. Activities carried out in the form of socialization and group discussion through one meeting in the form of face to face. Based on the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that a simple granular fertilizer applicator can be used to increase time and labor efficiency for fertilization and farmers gain knowledge to utilize unused used materials. Suggestions for further service are that the community can implement and practice what has been socialized and this simple granular fertilizer applicator can be developed into a better tool. Abstract

The community service carried out aims to train the community on the application of appropriate technology for measuring soil fertility (pH). Service activities in Rejoso Hamlet, Rejosopinggir Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency, East Java. The implementation of community service activities will be carried out in November 2021. The implementation method for implementing community service activities in the Participatory Action Research method. The action and participatory method was carried out in the socialization of the use of soil fertility (pH) measuring devices. Community service, the application of appropriate technology for soil fertility (pH) testing equipment, has several benefits, including being able to make it easier to predict soil fertility on agricultural land, increasing fertilization efficiency, increasing the ability and independence of farmers. The socio-economic conditions of the community have undergone many changes in the fertilization process because fertilization is aimed only at less fertile land. Balanced fertilization and as needed will improve the quality of the soil chemically so that it is more optimal for plant growth. Fertilization efficiency can be achieved so that it will reduce farmer's capital and potentially increase farm income. Abstract

Pelatihan dan pendampingan analisis sifat fisik dan kimia tanah sederhana kepada masyarakat di Kecamatan Bandar Kedung Mulyo ini dilakukan dengan tujuan agar masyarakat memiliki keterampilan dalam melakukan analisis fisik dan kimia tanah. Keterampilan dalam menentukan sifat tanah dapat membantu warga dalam memanfaatkan potensi lahan yang dimiliki. Selain itu pengetahuan tentang sifat tanah juga akan membantu masyarakat memahami tentang kesehatan tanah dan mengetahui kriteria kesuburan tanah yang dapat diamati dari sifat fisik dan kimia tanah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 di Balai Desa Banjar Sari, Kecamatan Bandar Kedung Mulyo, Jombang, Jawa Timur. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Peserta pelatihan berjumlah sekitar 60 orang yang berasal dari tujuh desa yang berbeda, yaitu Desa Brodot, Brangkal, Gondang Manis, Pucang Simo, Banjar Sari, Barong Sawahan, dan Tinggar. Pada pertemuan pertama peserta mendapatkan materi tentang tanah termasuk sifat fisik dan kimia tanah. Pada pertemuan selanjutnya, peserta membawa sampel tanah yang diambil dari lokasi masing-masing sesuai dengan domisili desa untuk mengamati sifat fisik dan kimia tanah. Sifat fisik tanah yang diamati adalah warna, tekstur, dan aerasi. Sifat kimia yang dianalisis adalah kapasitas tukar kation (KTK). Peserta antusias dalam melaksanakan seluruh rangkaian pelatihan. Antusias peserta dapat terlihat dari keaktifan peserta ketika bertanya dan berdiskusi. Pada akhir kegiatan peserta menyerahkan laporan hasil analisis sampel tanah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, sebagian besar peserta sudah terampil dalam melakukan analisis fisik dan kimia tanah secara sederhana.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Perak Jombang memiliki tujuan: (1) Mengembangkan media pembelajaran permainan ludo edukasi pada materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMPN 2 Perak Jombang. (2) menganalisis minat siswa dalam media pembelajaran permainan ludo edukasi pada materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMPN 2 Perak Jombang (3) menganalisis kurangnya segi pengajaran dan pemahaman siswa dalam media pembelajaran permainan ludo edukasi pada materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMPN 2 Perak Jombang. Metode pendekatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini meliputi metode ceramah,diskusi. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah menggunakan metode sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan media belajar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat, dapat disimpulkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Pelatihan dan pendampingan media belajar permainan ludo edukasi berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Di SMPN 2 Perak Jombang (2) Menumbuhkan semangat pada peserta didik hal ini terbukti dengan adanya respon dari peserta yaitu guru dan siswa terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan termasuk dalam kategori baik (3). Meningkatkan kemampuan para guru dalam penggunaan penguasaan variasi media pembelajaran. (4) Adanya keterbatasan penggunaan media belajar karena masih bersumber pada bahan buku ajar

Abstract

Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) growth and development is influenced by biotic and abiotic factors. One of the biotic factors that influence it is a pest attack. Pests are organisms that cause direct damage to plants. Farmers need to make regular observations to minimize the occurrence of pest attacks. Regular observations help farmers find out early on pest populations on plants and can control them immediately. Pests on sweet potato plants are very diverse, therefore, to get the right diagnosis, farmers need to consult with experts where this is often an obstacle due to time and cost constraints. One way to facilitate the identification of these pests is to use a system that can provide conclusions based on the existing symptoms, this system is called an expert system. In this study, the authors build a web-based expert system application using the forward chaining method and certainty factor, while the software development method that the author uses is the waterfall method, and the software testing method uses the black box method. This research produces a web-based application. Based on testing, the application has been successful and runs well.

Abstract

Tanah merupakan salah satu media tumbuh yang biasanya digunakan dalam budidaya pertanian. merupakan salah satu faktor lingkungan yang tanah memiliki berbagai sifat fisik, kimia, dan biologi. Sifat fisik tanah terdiri dari tekstur dan struktur. Tekstur tanah terdiri dari ukuran fraksi pasir, debu, dan liat. Tekstur tanah mempengaruhi kemampuan tanah dalam menahan air dan juga pertumbuhan akar tanaman. Tanah yang baik harus mengandung unsur hara makro dan mikro esensial, bahan organik, kapasitas pertukaran kation, dan pH tanah yang sesuai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik tanah pertanian di Dusun Banjarsari, Kecamatan Bandarkedungmulyo, Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan pada Desember 2021. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah di Desa Banjarsari, Bandarkedungmulyo, Jombang, Jawa Timur dan laboratoriun Fakultas Pertanian Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah Jombang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tanah di lokasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa memiliki porositas rendah, sedang, hingga tinggi. Tanah dengan porositas tinggi terdapat pada horizon III. Kapasitas pertukaran kation tertinggi juga terdapat pada horizon III. Aerasi tanah yang baik akan dipengaruhi oleh tingginya porositas tanah. Pada horizon I tanah memiliki porositas rendah karena banyak mengandung fraksi lempung, sehingga lebih sesuai untuk pertumbuhan akar tanaman.

Abstract

Produksi beras Indonesia pada tahun 2021 untuk konsumsi pangan penduduk diestimasi sebesar 31,69 juta ton, dan ada kenaikan sebanyak 351,71 ribu ton atau 1,12 persen jika dibandingkan produksi beras tahun 2020 yaitu sebesar 31,33 juta ton. Kelompok tani Tejo Selatan terletak  di Dusun Tejo Selatan, Desa Tejo, Kecamatan Mojoagung, Kabupaten Jombang. Lokasi berada di areal persawahan yang cukup strategis, dekat dengan jalan, dekat akses terhadap sarana produksi pertanian, dan perkampungan penduduk. Keadaan umum petani di kelompok tani Tejo Selatan merupakan petani yang menggunakan sistem pertanian secara intensif yang banyak menggunakan pupuk kimia dan zat kimia yang bisa meningkatkan produktivitas secara nyata. Dalam pengabdian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan metode pendekatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat pada skema Program Kemitraan Masyarakat Stimulus (PKMS) ini meliputi metode ceramah, diskusi, dan workshop (pelatihan). Kegiatan pengabdian juga menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi dilaksanakan pada kegiatan sosialisasi pentingnya mendayagunakan limbah jerami. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilaksanakan bahwa peserta pengabdian yang bertindak sebagai mitra turut aktif dan ada peningkatan keterampilan akibat dari kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Proses pembuatan baglog dilakukan dengan menggunakan campuran dedak, kapur, dan jerami kering, kemudian dilakukan fermentasi dan pengemasan baglog dengan cara press. Penanaman dilakukan dengan kondisi steril untuk mencegah kontaminasi jamur yang lainnya.
