Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure Linoleic Acid and Linolenic Acid Level in Tofu and Fermented Soybean Cake through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry. This is a laboratory research that use tofu and fermented soybean cake from Telaga traditional market as the sample of research. Sample was extracted by using n-hexane to produce oil. Then, oil was hydrolyzed by using KOH liquid and H2SO4 as a catalyst to get the free fatty acid. Then, it was converted to metil ester by using CH3OH as a solvent and H2SO4 as a catalyst for the necessity of fatty acid analysis. This research used Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry to identify Linoleic Acid and Linolenic Acid Level in the sample. The analysis result shows that the biggest component of metil ester in tofu and soybean cake are dominated by metil linoleic (metil 9.12-octadekadienoat) with percentage 55.25% and 27.08% for each. Mean, the linolenic acid in tofu and fermented soybean cake cannot be detected by GC-MS. It is caused by the fermentation time, high temperature during production and fermentation, and humidity in the sample. Therefore, a further research is necessary to investigate level of linolenic acid. In tofu and fermented soybean cake.

Abstract

One of the restoration of contaminated environmental quality method is using phytoremediation techniques. That is recovery contaminated environment using plants. This research studied the ability of kangkung darat (Ipome reptans) to absorb metallic copper and to find out which part of the Kangkung Darat that absorb most of the metal Cu, also to know the difference between absorption and kangkung darat are harvested at 2, 4 and 6 weeks. The research activities are carried out by planting kangkung darat in a contaminated soil media and in the flush of copper metal with a solution of Cu mg / L two times a day. Samples of kangkung darat have been taken from accordance with plant age (2, 4 and 6 weeks), and plant parts (roots, stems and leaves). Used in Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) Simatzu type AA to measure the content of Cu in the sample. Results obtained from this study that Cu accumulation in plants is mainly found in the roots. On the kangkung darat were 2 weeks of Cu contained as much as 5.3403 ppm in the roots, stems and leaves of 2.6637 5.1117. At the age of 4 weeks in a row at the root, stem leaves are 10.6998, 5.8281 and 2.0666 ppm. Mean, at the age of 6 weeks at the root of 10.4605, the leaves on the stem 7.7839 and 9.1863 ppm. From the research results can be concluded that kangkung darat could be used as fitoremediator Cu metal contaminated soil.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the ability of activated charcoal rice hurks in the adsorbed metal cadmium in the solvent. The method which is used in this researes are carbonation and activation. The carbonation is doing by close system, the activation is doing by chemical. Activated charcoal produced is tested the absorption of cadmium metal in the solvent. The results showed that activated charcoal which is produced is able to absorb cadmium metal in the solvent that is equal to 19,03 %. The result of proximated analysis of activated charcoal are the water content, volatile matter content, ash content and carbon content are eachboon 13,09%, 15,82%, 53,83% and 30,35%.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian penetapan kadar asam lemak linoleat dan linolenat pada kedelai secara kromatografi gas. Minyak kedelai diperoleh dengan mengekstraksinya dari kacang kedelai dengan metode Soxhlet menggunakan pelarut n-heksan, sementara penetapan kadar asam lemak dengan metode kromatografi gas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar asam lemak linoleat dan linolenat pada kacang kedelai masing-masing 53,86% dan 7,15%. Asam lemak linoleat dan linolenat merupakan asam lemak tidak jenuh berantai banyak dan tergolong asam lemak esensial. Kata kunci : Asam linoleat, asam linolenat, kacang kedelai, kromatografi gas

Abstract

The research is descriptive that aimed to know how is the Students ability in comprehending complex compound of transition elements of fourth period in students of Chemical education Department of Gorontalo State University. Technique in collecting the data was test as instrument. Result of validity test was 100% and reliability coefficient was 0,74%. The result showed that students comprehending in complex compound material of transition elements of fourth period were (1) determining central atom at complex compound as 37,23%, (2) determining ligand at complex compound as 39,02%, (3) determining coordination number from complex ion as 35,12%, (4) determining the content of complex compound as 40,78%, (5) writing complex compound formula as 25,5%, (6) giving the name of complex compound as 30,82%, (7) determining the hybridizes of complex compound as 20,56% and (8) determining the form of complex compound as 40,78%.

Abstract

The title of classroom action research is Improving the achievement of concep atom structure thought cooperativeThis research involves the students of class X4 SMA N 3 Gorontalo of in academic year 2008/2009. with cooperative learning model jigasaw type thats have purpose for increasing study result of students class X4 in subject of atom strukture.Based in classroom action prosedure, analysis and reflection on action hypothesis testing doing in a stage. And continuous that is on every ending activities from every cycle. 85 students who on observation paper minimal reach the nice category. The students achievement in cycle I, from 32 students there are 18 students who get more than (6,9), and 14 students get less that (6,9) with the average (6,74), while in the cycle II is improve where 32 students there are 28 students (87,5) get more than 6,9 and students get less than 6,9 with the average 8,0 and the average of applicapibility 82,75. Based on the students achievement in apply of cooperative learning model jigsaw type in structure atom can be improve the students achievement, so the hypothesis in this research is valid.

Abstract

The research is experiment research that aimed to prove the different of students achievement that was taught by using SETS approach and by conventional significantly at MAN Limbotos students. The population were students of XA class, XB class and XC class of MAN Limboto in 2008/2009 academics years that consisted of 86 students. The sample was students of XA class and XC class that consisted of 50 students. The sample was taken by using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The instruments in collecting the data was essay test that validity and reliability had tested before. Method of data analyses were normality test, homogenity test and hypothesis test. At hypothesis test, it got tcount = 2.322, while ttable = 1,711. The result showed that students achievement that was taught by using SETS approach is better than students achievement that was taught by using conventional in Oxidation and Reduction Reaction lesson.

Abstract

The low consentration analysis of Lead, Cadmium, and Copper have been conducted by Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltametry (DPASV) method using Hanging Mercury Dropiping Electrode (HMDE). DPASV method comprises two important steps. The firs step is deposition of a metal at the electrode sufase by electrolysis carry out by controlled potential. The second step is the metal stripping which have been precipitated at the electrode into the solution. The current, that is generated by stripping, is recorded by differential pulse mode. The optimum condition of instrumental parameters are deposition potential -700 mV, deposition lime 90 seconds, stripping rate 2000 rpm, 5 size of mercury drop and supporting electrolyte nitric acid at pH 1,5 which in produced by dilution of 50 L of 65% nitric acid suprapure until 10 mL solution. The precision (coefficient of variation) of analytical method was 9,24% Cd, 9,80% Pb, and 9,68% Cu. The accuracy of analytical method was 2,5% Cd, +1,76% Pb, and +7,30% Cu. The detection limit of analytical method was 29,9760 ng/L Cd, 42,4283 ng/L Pb, and 275,3222 ng/L Cu. The computation of concentration was based on twice addition standar technique.

Abstract

This research involved X1 Grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah Batudaa with total number of students were 21 students. It consist of 9 male students and 12 female students of 2008/2009 academic years. Technique in collecting the data was observation. This research was a classroom action research and it was done during one semester as two cycles. The observation result of teacher activity in first cycle got excellent criteria as 72, 72 and good criteria as 27,27. While in second cycle, it was improved as 36 % reached excellent criteria and 64 % reached good criteria. Besides that, observation result of students in first cycle is students who got an excellent criteria was 57,13 % and good criteria was 42,85% while in second cycle it was improved, that is students who got an excellent criteria was 29% and good criteria was 71%. Students achievement in first cycle were 13 students or 61,905 got score more, than 6,9 and 8 students or 38,09% got score less than 6,9. while the students achievement in second cycle was improved. It was 18 students or 85,71% got score more than 6,9 and 3 student got score less than 6,9 with classical absorption was 71,42%.Based on that result above, the applications of question student have strategy in atom structure lesson can improve student achievement. There fore, the hypothesis in this research can be accepted.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the problems of the teacher professionalism that faced of Chemistry Education students to Mathematic and Natural Science Faculty of Gorontalo State University after PPL, and to know the dominant problems about teachers professionalism.The result of this research showed that the teacher professionalism problems of student were (1) teacher base competence including managing teaching learning process and class, material mastery, using media and source of learning, so assessment., (2) doing KTSP including new and same item with old curriculum, different curriculum, KTSP component, applying CTL approach and its application to schools. The dominant problems about teacher professionalism that related to teacher base competence were using media and source of learning about 66,20%, so material mastery about 59%. The dominant problems related to doing CTL including application of CTL about 64% and KTSP application to schools about 63,50%.
