Abstract

ABSTRACT The problem in postharvest pests must be handled seriously since recent research were not comprehensively resolved it. Sitophilus oryzae was a major pest and serious problem on post harvest products. The reseach aimed  to develop a life table of S. oryzae on rice. The life table is a part of life history that consists of important information about the living organism. This information can be used for predicting population growth. By developing life table database, information on mortality, life expectancy, and the development ability of S. oryzae can be obtained. Results showed that mortality index of eggs was 0.4;  larvae was 0,54, and pupae was 0,32, and adult was 1,0. Life expectancy index of eggs was 1.65; larvae was 1.42; pupae was 1.51 pupae; and adults was 1.0. One female was able to give rise 32.56 females or 58.57 males and females of the next generation. Abstract

ABSTRACT   The research objective was to test a variety of cabbage cultivation techniques is the use of organic fertilizers, botanical insecticides, and multiple croping. This research was conducted in the Village Paslaten Tomohon. When the study was conducted from January 2011 to January 2012. In this experiment, each treatment than control would be sprayed with Barringtonia asiatica extract with a concentration of the best based on laboratory test results. The parameters observed were percentage of attacks, cabbage production, analyzes the advantages of organic and non-organic cultivation. These experiments using randomized block design (RBD) Orthogonal contrast with eleven (11) treatment and four (4) test. The results showed that the highest percentage of attacks on fertilizer treatment mitraflora+ B. asiatica 37.5%. While the lowest was 7.14% peasant patterns. Cabbage production was highest in treatment patterns farmers are 6.84 tons / ha. Low on fertilizer treatment mitraflora 4.44 tonnes / ha. Analysis for cropping farming Organic Cabbage with R / C = 1.91 and B / C = 1.07. Patterns of farmers with a value of R / C = 1.91 and B / C = 1.1. Keywords: Production, percentage attack, multiple cropping, cabbage ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah  menguji berbagai teknik budidaya tanaman Kubis yaitu penggunaan pupuk organik, insektisida botanis, dan multiple croping.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Paslaten Kota Tomohon. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari  2011 sampai dengan Januari 2012.  Dalam percobaan ini, setiap perlakuan selain kontrol akan disemprot dengan ekstrak Barringtonia asiatica dengan konsentrasi yang terbaik berdasarkan hasil uji di laboratorium.  Parameter yang diamati meliputi persentase serangan, produksi kubis, analisis keuntungan budidaya organik dan non organik.  Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Kontras Ortogonal dengan sebelas (11) perlakuan dan empat (4) ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, persentase serangan tertinggi pada perlakuan pupuk mitraflora + B. asiatica 37,5%. Sedangkan terendah adalah pola kebiasaan petani 7,14 %. Produksi kubis tertinggi pada perlakuan pola kebiasaan petani yaitu 6,84 ton/ha. Terendah pada perlakuan pupuk mitraflora 4,44 ton/ha. Analisis usaha tani untuk pola tanam Kubis Organik dengan nilai  R/C = 1,91 dan B/C =1,07.  Pola kebiasaan petani dengan nilai  R/C = 1,91 dan B/C =1,1. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was aimed to identify the growth and production model of hybrid maize in each treatments of nitrogen application and tassel trimming. This research was carried out in field experiment in Tountimomor Village of Kakas District in Minahasa Regency.  The result of this research showed that this model could stimulate the growth and production of maize with the total biomass of 8000 kg/ha. Optimum leaf nitrogen of 1.6 % at 49 day after cultivate. The highest leaf biomass from field measurement was reached in nitrogen fertilizing of 92 kg/ha. The highest tassel biomass from field measurement was obtained in treatment trimming which was 4 gr/ha. Keywords : Growth  Model, Production, Maize,  Nitrogen, Tassel Trimming ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pertumbuhan dan model produksi dari jagung hibrida dalam tiap-tiap perlakuan pemberian nitrogen dan pemangkasan tassel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan di desa Tountimomor Kecamatan Kakas Kabupaten Minahasa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa model dapat menstimulasi pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung dengan jumlah biomassa 8000 kg/ha. Nitrogen daun optimum adalah 1,6% pada 49 hari setelah ditanam. Biomassa daun tertinggi didapat pada pemberian Nitrogen sebesar 92 kg/ha. Biomassa tassel tertinggi dari pengukuran lapangan didapat dalam perlakuan pemangkasa tassel sebanyak 4gr/ha. Kata kunci: Model pertumbuhan, Produksi, Jagung, Nitrogen, Pemangkasan Tassel.

Abstract

This study was aiming to assess growth of roots, stems, leaves and seeds of hybrid corn atdifferent application of nitrogen using a simulation model approach. The research wasconducted at the experimental garden in the village of Kakas Tountimomor Minahasa Region.The result showed that after 49 days of planting, optimum root biomass was 1050 kg / ha.Application of fertilization 92 kg/ ha produced the highest production which was 43.8 kg / ha.Field measurement showed that application of fertilization 92 kg / ha resulted steem biomass170.6 kg / ha. Simulation model revealed that stem biomass at the age of 70 HST allocated thehighest photosyntate which was 1300 kg / ha. The highest leaves biomass production wasdetected at the level of nitrogen fertilization 92 kg / ha resulting total production of 53.2 kg / ha.Optimalitation of biomass allocated to leaves until the flowering phase was 49 days afterplanting producing 3000 kg / ha. Field measurements for the highest seed biomass productionwas 54.9 kg/ha accounted by 92 kg N / ha. Simulation model of seed biomass showed thatseed filling stage was in between anthesis stage (75 HST) and physiological ripening (105HST) accounted 4500 kg/ha. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pertumbuhan organ akar, batang, daun dan bijijagung hibrida dalam tiap-tiap perlakuan pemberian nitrogen melalui pendekatan modelsimulasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dikebun percobaan di desa Tountimomor Kecamatan KakasKabupaten Minahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model dapat mensimulasi titikoptimum biomassa akar yaitu 1050 kg/ha pada umur tanam 49 hari setelah tanam.Pemupukan nitrogen dengan taraf 92 kg/ha menghasilkan produksi tertinggi 43.8 kg/ha. Hasilpengukuran lapang pada taraf pemupukan 92 kg N/ha menghasilkan biomassa batang 170.6kg/ha. Hasil simulasi model biomassa batang pada umur tanam 70 hst menghasilkan alokasiproporsi fotosintesis tertinggi 1300 kg/ha. Hasil produksi biomassa daun tertinggi dihasilkanpada taraf pemupukan nitrogen 92 kg/ha dengan total produksi 53.2 kg/ha. Optimalisasiproporsi biomassa yang dialokasikan ke daun sampai pada fase pembungaan yaitu 49 harisetelah tanam dengan bobot 3000 kg/ha. Hasil pengukuran lapang untuk produksi biomassabiji tertinggi 54.9 kg/ha pada taraf pemupukan 92 kg N/ha. Hasil simulasi model biomassa bijimenunjukkan bahwa setelah fase anthesis yaitu 73 hst, fase pengisian biji mulai berlangsunghingga matang fisiologis pada 105 hari setelah tanam dengan total biji 4500 kg/ha.

Abstract

Research on the integrated control of Crocidolomia pavonana on cabbage aims to test various cabbage cultivation techniques, namely the use of organic fertilizers, botanical insecticides, and multiple croping. This research was conducted in Paslaten Sub-District, Tomohon City, from January 2011 to January 2012. The parameters observed included the percentage of attacks, cabbage production, profit analysis of organic and non- organic cultivation, measurement of climate parameters, analysis of total soil N content, total N content of fertilizer organic foliage and chicken manure. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with orthogonal contrast with eleven (11) treatments and four (4) replications. The results showed that the highest attack percentage at 6 mst was found in mitraflora + B. asiatica fertilizer treatment 12.5% chicken manure + B. asiatica 7.14%, farmer habit patterns 5.36%, and campus organic fertilizer treatment + B asiatica 1.79%. The highest percentage of attacks at 8 mst was found in the treatment of mitraflora + B. asiatica fertilizer 37.5%, chicken manure + B. asiatica 26.79%, campus organic fertilizer + B. asiatica 16.07%, farmers' habit patterns 7.14%. The highest attack percentage at 10 mst was found in mitraflora + B. asiatica fertilizer treatment 21.43%, farmer habit pattern treatment 16.07%, chicken manure + B. asiatica 12.5%, campus organic fertilizer + B. asiatica 10, 71%. The highest cabbage production was produced by the treatment of farmers' habit patterns, namely 42.8 kg / plot, followed by the treatment of campus organic fertilizer + B. asiatica with a production rate of 34.6 kg / plot, treatment of chicken manure + B. asiatica 29.5 kg / plot, fertilizer treatment mitraflora + B. asiatica 27.8 kg / plot.

It is necessary to conduct research to obtain data and information on the extent to which the gold mining process activities carried out by the community without management are at risk of environmental damage. This study aims to examine the impact of illegal gold mining on the decline in surface water quality. The research method is field observation of illegal gold mining activities and sampling of surface water quality is carried out using the composite method in the Lobok river in Lanut village. The data obtained is data for 2017 and 2019. Analysis of total suspended solids (TSS) in surface water bodies in the laboratory. Data analysis using the Graphic Method and comparing with the Quality Standards according to PP no. 22/2021 Class II. The results showed that the concentration of TSS in the Lobok river 2017 is 24,800 and 2019 is 92,700 mg/l did not meet the quality standard requirements, indicating that it had experienced high ecological pressure.

Abstract

The engineering section is limited to the extraction of nutmeg flesh biomaterials. Another part of engineering is based on base flow inventory and product flow through the design of environmentally friendly plant energy input processes without fossil fuels. The purpose of this study was to compile a life cycle assessment (LCA) through reference to ISO 14040:2016 and ISO 14044:2017 for the development of agro-industrial products nutmeg syrup at PT. Hakatho Artha Industries in North Sulawesi. Substitution engineering without fossil fuels includes; nutmeg shell biochar substitution, POC biogas from nutmeg waste, nutmeg shell chitosan, and nutmeg organic waste eco enzyme. The biomaterial section of nutmeg flesh is limited by two methods of the extraction process. Determination of water content in nutmeg flesh samples based on the SNI 35544:2013 method with 91.72% (w/w) results. Determination of protein content refers to the method of SNI 01-2891-1992 with a result of 1.44% (w/w).Keywords: LCA, SNI, nutmeg syrup

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of several traits of zinnia plants derived from four flower colors (red, white, yellow and purple). The activity was carried out from October 2020 to January 2021 in Pineleng Satu Village, Pineleng District, Minahasa Regency. For this purpose, each of the five plants was observed in a survey for plant height (cm), number of branches, number of flowers and diameter of flowers. Data were analyzed by means and analysis of variance. The results showed that the four types of color did not show any differences in the properties measured quantitatively.

Abstract

      The purpose of this study was to obtain production time efficiency on the MIFRA®22 nutmeg pericarp grater. Research at the Agricultural Engineering Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNSRAT Manado. The research period starts from March 25 to April 30, 2022. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment consists of: 1). The interval of grating duration is 10 minutes, 2). The interval of grating duration is 15 minutes, and 3). The interval of grating duration is 20 minutes. Each time interval is repeated 4 times. Grated using a nutmeg pericarp grater MIFRA®22 roller grater with 250 blades. Data were tabulated and analyzed using One-way ANOVA Confidence Interval 95% and continued with 5% BNJ test (Pongoh et al, 2022). The results of calculating the best efficiency were obtained in the treatment duration of 15 minutes with an average grating time of 81.5 seconds. The calculation of the pericarp weight of grated nutmeg resulted in an average weight of 435 grams. Calculation of the weight of the flesh of nutmeg is not shredded with an average weight of 65 grams. The percentage efficiency of grating time with an average of 84.92%.

Abstract

The fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith is an invasive pest of maize in Indonesia. The fall armyworm is a polyphagous pest originating from North America which was first discovered in West Africa. This pest control is very difficult because farmers are generally focused on the use of pesticides. For this reason, the method of using sex pheromones is an environmentally friendly alternative for controlling fall armyworm S. frugiperda pests. Innovation in the use of sex pheromones to act as attractants, mating disruption and mass trapping for controlling S. frugiperda pests. Keywords: pheromone, fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda, corn Abstrak Ulat grayak tanaman jagung Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith merupakan hama infasif di Indonesia. Hama ulat grayak, merupakan hama polifag yang berasal dari Amerika Utara yang pertama kali ditemukan di Afrika Barat. Pengendalian hama ini sangat sulit karena petani umumnya terfokus pada penggunaan pestisida. Untuk itu metode pemanfaatan feromon sex merupakan alternatif untuk pengendalian hama S. frugiperda yang ramah lingkungan. Inovasi pemanfatan feromon sex berperan sebagai atraktan, mengganggu terjadinya kopulasi antara jantan dan betina dan perangkap masal untuk pengendalian hama S. frugiperda.
