Abstract

PT. Mustikarama Citraperdana is a manufacturing industry that produces  safety box. This company has been developing which is known from the increase of demand, production volume, and also the types of product. Problem faced by PT. Mustikarama Citraperdana is sending customer order does not match the shipment date by a percentage of 52.44%. Initial observations, inaccuracy of time in order delivery caused by the production planning problem that is not appropriate.This thesis will design improvements to overcome the problem of production planning that caused the company experienced difficulties in the form of an order sending customer order does not match the shipment date. The design improvements are given in the form of production planning and inventory control of raw materials.

Abstract

PT X is a manufacture company that provides medical facilities for its permanent employee in form of medical benefits. The medical benefits claim proposed by the employees will be processed in PT X’s medical benefits system. The company requires that at least 98% of the claims are processed on the same day as the day those claims are proposed. That requirement can only be fulfilled with overtime work. The average of overtime work per month per admin is 14 hours. The improvement of the efficiency can be done by doing enhancement of the approval and revise processes of the previous medical benefits system. The enhancement is done by creating unique key and barcode for each medical claim, so that each of the new claim form is going to have unique key and barcode. HR admin would be able to do scan barcode process that would accelerate PT X’s medical benefits system. The result of the implementation of this enhancement is the acceleration of medical benefits system of PT X. The implementation results in the decrease of the process time as much as 31% of the prior condition and the investment fund will have returned in less than three months.

Abstract

This study was conducted to give the proposed model of humanitarian logistics coordination for the handling of natural disasters in Indonesia by involving the private sector. The private sector, involved in disaster management, is DHL. The analysis techniques used are the competitive profile matrix to evaluate the performance of each agency involved and RASIC analysis to determine the role of each institution in each activity. The results showed that the private sector is still less involved in Indonesia’s disaster management and the role of some institutions in some activity is still not quite right. DHL is proposed to be involved because it has sufficient capacity to be involved in disaster management. Activities that can be roled by DHL are involving in the delivery and distribution of relief and to help receive relief from foreign parties. Activities that need to be changed is the provision of funds, the making standardization relief, and assessment.

Abstract

This article discusses the combination of genetic algorithm (GA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to solve the flowshop scheduling problems with multicriteria. The criteria are makespan, total weighted tardiness, and mean flow time. DEA is used to calculate the overall value of criteria from each sequence. Relative efficiency value is employed as the fitted value in genetic algorithm, in order to have overall value that independent to a particular weight. The proposed algorithm that combines GA and DEA attain optimal solutions with relative efficiency as good as analytical solution, i.e., Mixed Integer Programming (MIP). From 30 problems generated, only one problem (3,33%) has relative efficienly less than 1. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Artikel ini membahas kombinasi algoritma genetik dengan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) untuk pemecahan masalah penjadwalan flowshop multikriteria. Kriteria-kriteria yang digunakan, yaitu makespan, total weighted tardiness, dan mean flow time. DEA digunakan untuk menghitung nilai keseluruhan kriteria dari setiap sequence dengan menggunakan nilai efisiensi relatif sebagai fitted value dalam algoritma genetik. Hal ini ditujukan agar nilai keseluruhan dari kriteria-kriteria yang ada tidak terikat pada satu jenis bobot saja. Kombinasi dua metode ini menghasilkan suatu algoritma yang mampu menghasilkan kumpulan solusi optimal dengan nilai efisiensi relatif yang tidak kalah jika dibandingkan dengan hasil dari model Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), dimana dari 30 masalah yang dibangkitkan, hanya ada 1 masalah (3,33%) yang memiliki efisiensi relatif di bawah 1. Kata kunci: penjadwalan flowshop, algoritma genetik, Data Envelopment Analysis.

Abstract

This paper presents a study about new heuristic algorithm performance compared to Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) method in solving flowshop scheduling problem to reach minimum makespan. Performance appraisal is based on Efficiency Index (EI), Relative Error (RE) and Elapsed Runtime. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Makalah ini menyajikan penelitian tentang performance algoritma heuristik Pour terhadap metode Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) dalam menyelesaikan masalah penjadwalan flowshop dengan tujuan meminimalkan makespan. Penilaian performance dilakukan berdasarkan nilai Efficiency Index (EI), Relative Error (RE) dan Elapsed Runtime. Kata kunci: flowshop, makespan, algoritma heuristik Pour, Mixed Integer Programming.

Abstract

The research discusses the quality control system in producing lamp filament. Meantime, the quality control system produces ahigh level of failure, 10-17%. The result of the identification revealed that the primary coil and double coil processes have the highest failure, ± 17%, and the main cause of rejection is the unflat coil. The research covers the development of attribute control chart (p chart), before and after implementations, development of control plans and documents needed, expert system program to investigate the root cause of the failure, proportional test and final result failure. The result of the implementation of suggestion, gives a significant decrease of failure and the average of failure level of the final product is average 5.74%. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini membahas sistem pengendalian kualitas pada pembuatan lampu filamen. Sistem pengendalian kualitas yang berjalan sekarang menghasilkan kecacatan yang tinggi, 10-17%. Identifikasi yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa proses primary coil dan double coil memiliki tingkat kecacatan terbesar ± 17% dengan penyebab utama reject adalah coil tidak rata. Penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi pembuatan dan monitoring peta kendali atribut (p chart) baik awal dan akhir hasil implementasi usulan, pembuatan control plan, dokumen-dokumen terhadap pengendalian penyebab kecacatan utama, program expert system yang digunakan untuk penelusuran penyebab kecacatan, uji proporsi dan tingkat kecacatan akhir. Hasil implementasi usulan memberikan penurunan tingkat kecacatan yang signifikan terhadap penyebab kecacatan utama dan rata-rata tingkat kecacatan produk akhir sebesar 5,74%. Kata kunci: sistem pengendalian kualitas, expert system.

Abstract

The article discusses the problem of flexible flowshop scheduling with sequence-dependent setup. The Lagrangian relaxation method is used to solve the problem by decomposes an initial complex problem into simpler subproblem. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Artikel ini membahas penjadwalan yang mempunyai karakteristik flexible flowshop dengan sequence-dependent setup. Metode penyelesaian yang digunakan adalah relaksasi Lagrangian dengan menguraikan problem awal yang kompleks menjadi sebuah subproblem yang lebih sederhana. Abstract

This article aims to compare the performance of combination of Genetic Algorithm-Simulated Annealing (GA-SA) with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to solve facility layout problem. GA-SA in this article consist of two algorithms, GA-SA I and GA-SA II, with a different mutation rule. PSO uses fuzzy particle swarm concept to represent solution from each particle. Two criteria to analyze all algorithms performance are moment of movement and computational time. Experiments show that GA-SA II has the best performance in minimization both criteria

Abstract

Laris Elektronik is a distributor of electronic house appliances whose sales targets are smaller stores. The current warehouse system which laris currently use is mainly done manually by human resources and is centered on the owner. A good system must never rely on a single individual and should be done in a regular order. The main purpose of this thesis is to create a better warehouse system which is more automatic  and less dependant on the owner. There are 3 main improvements in this thesis, i.e. inventory control system, construction of a database for stocking purpose, and warehouse layout improvement.Inventory control system is done by changing the method of goods ordering into periodic review with 3 days duration. The duration is prolonged from the current 1 day review system because there are too many stock inspections done with the old system. The construction of database is done to hasten the input of stock datas and to give employees access toward a certain information regarding goods (e.g. Number of goods left, price of goods) that was originally known only by the owner. The layout improvement is done based on the preceding inventory control improvement. The current random goods layout is given order based on the speed of sales and optimal stock value which is decided in the inventory control system.

Abstract

Competition in the industry is getting tighter forcing every company to have a strate-gy to minimize operational costs. Strategies that can be done to shipping cost reduction. Delivery is very influential in the company's operating costs, and one method that can help the enterpris-es to determine which method of service Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP has several ways of settlement to this problem, one of which is the Savings Method or the method of Clarke and Wright. Scheduling of vehicles to make deliveries also the key to be able to set the number of ve-hicles that will be used so it does not do waste. Research in this final project will determine the route and vehicle scheduling for the better through these factors, the volume of goods, arrange-ment of goods, and vehicle scheduling. The results of this study provide improvements to the company with an average percentage of 19.68% for vehicle fuel cost savings.
