Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Quantum Teaching. The subject of this research is student of class IX.5 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015, which amounted to 34 students, consist of 17 boys and 17 girls. The research consisit of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the end of every cycle daily exams will be implemented. Data collection is done by observation and tests in the form of daily tests. The result of research shows that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Most of students were excited and active in learning process, such as while they were presenting questions and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily tests I and II. The number percentage of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic, daily test I and daily test II  are respectively 52.94%, 61.76%, and 82.35%. Results of this research indicates that appication of the learning model of Quantum Teaching can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class IX.5 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes students of class VII.9 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2013/2014. The research are two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the end of each cycle, daily tests are carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Observation is used to collect teacher and student activities during learning process, test is used to collect mathematic outcomes and will given in form daily test. The results show the activity of teachers and students in learning has been in line with the lesson plan. Most of the students have participated actively in the learning process that has been exercised, such as step-by-step learning, presenting student worksheets or question papers, responding a fellow classmate’s presentation, and giving learning conclusions. Results of this research indicate that the application of Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes math class VII.9 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2013/2014. Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur. There were only 13 of 24 students (54,17%) who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria on topic about using the measuring tool in problem solving and the learning process is still teacher centered. This research is action research which aims to increase the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur through the implentation of cooperative learning in type student team achievement division (STAD). The subject is 24 students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur which consist of 10 boys and 14 girls with the heterogenous ability level. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and test of mathematic learning outcomes. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the test of mathematic learning outcomes was analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is an improvement of the previous learning process to the first and second cycle. The result showed an increasing number of students who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria from the basic score with the percentage 54,17% to 75% on the first daily test and 83,33% on the second daily test. Based on that result, it can be concluded that the implentation of Cooperative Learning in type student team achievement division (STAD) can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur on second semester academic year 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the difference between the expected achievement and the achieved by students of class XI MIA 1 MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The proposes of this research are to improve the learning process and to increase mathematics achievement from the students with applied discovery learning model. The form of this research is a class action research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle has four meetings and one test. The subject of this research is the students of class XI MIA 1 MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru in academic year 2019/2020, which total of participants are 21 students, consists of 7 female students and 14 male students with heterogeneous ability. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and learning mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitatively, while the students Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitatively. The data analysis of students and teacher activity showed that the learning process has improved after the discovery learning model being implemented. Most of students were very confidenced and active in learning process, the students are skilled to build their knowledge by their own, hence the learning becomes more meaningful and saved in student’s memory for a long time. The data of the student’s evaluation test showed that the number of students reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) increase from the basic score to first test, from first test to second test. The results of this research showed an increasing of students achievement where the basic score 28,51% to the first test 52,4%, the second test 85,7%. For the skills achievement score of the first test 52,4%, the second test 90,5%. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of discovery learning model can improve learning process and increase student’s mathematics achievement at class XI MIA 1 MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Discovery Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the students’ achievement in learning mathematics especially grade IX.4 of SMPN 21 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 27,77%. The subject of basic competence were about triangle. The teacher-centered learning was still used to teach materials during the learning process. The research conducted was the Classroom Action Research. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and results on the students learning mathematic by implementing cooperative learning model structural approach of Think Pair Square. There were 36 students in the class consisting 13 boys and 23 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative desciptive. The qualitative desciptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning Mathematic from the basic score with percentage 27,77% to 36,11% on the first test and 50% on second test. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model structural approach of Think Pair Square can improve the students’ achievement of learning Mathematic in grade IX.4 of SMPN 21 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying Project Based Learning (PjBL). The subjects of this research are the student of class VII4 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 19 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test.  Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if the scores of teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Scores of teacher’s activities from the first to the sixth meeting are 93.55, 94.45, 100, 100, 100, and 100. While the scores of student’s activities from the first to the sixth meeting are 93.33, 95.24, 100, 100, 100, and 100. Percentage students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 42.11% increase to 57.89% at the first cycle and 68.42% at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that Project Based Learning improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class VII4 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and results on the students learning mathematic by implementing cooperative learning model structural approach of Think Pair Share (TPS). There were 34 students in the class consisting 17 boys and 17 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets to observe the activities of teacher and students and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative desciptive. The qualitative desciptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. Abstract

Abstract: Learning in schools must be well planned, one of which is to create learning tools that refer to the 2013 curriculum. This research produces learning tools (syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan, and Student Worksheets) using the inquiry model in the progression and series material. This research is a research and development (R&D) using the 4-D model. The research instrument was an instrument of validity in the form of a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of the syllabus, RPP and LKPD and practical instruments in the form of a teacher's questionnaire response to the Syllabus, RPP and LKPD, a questionnaire for students' responses to LKPD, and an observation sheet on the implementation of learning.Validation data analysis results obtained an average value for the syllabus is 3.53 in the category of very valid which means that the syllabus is feasible to use; and the average value for the RPP is 3.61 and LKPD is 3.53 in the very valid category which means that the RPP and LKPD are worth testing. The results of practicality data analysis in small group trials were 3.61; Large group trials found that the teacher response questionnaire was 3.79; student response questionnaire was 3.62; and the implementation of the learning process is 3.76 in the very practical category which means that the Syllabus, RPP and LKPD are appropriate to be used in schools.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Tools, Inquiry Model, Development Research, 4-D Development Model

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by limited mathematics learning tools using learning approaches and models that can support learning in the curiculum 2013. The purpose of this research is to produce mathematical learning tools consist of syllabus, lesson plan and student worksheet that use learning discovery model in quadrilateral and triangular topic for valid students of junior high School and qualify the practicality requirement. The research method used is the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality instrument. The validity instrument is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practicality instrument is in the form of observation sheet of learning process implementation and questionnaire of student response . Learning device developed are validated by three validators. The research trials were conducted in SMPN 17 Pekanbaru which is tested in a small group and large group. Small group trial aims to assess the practicability based on student response questionnaire, while the large group to assess the practicability based on the observation sheet of learning process implementation and student response questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for syllabus are 4,6; lesson plans are 4,4; student worksheet are 4,4 from the 5,00 scale, so the resulting device is catagorized as very valid.. The student worksheet valued as very practical with mean score for small group and large group testing are 92,1% and 93,4%. The lesson plan also valued as very practical with mean percentage is 98,33%. These categories mean that the lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to used in school.Key Words: Development Research, Mathematics Learning Tools, Discovery Learning Model, ADDIE Model

Abstract

Mangrove forests have many roles, which can be grouped into biological, physical-chemical, and economic roles. Grey mangrove (Avicennia sp) fruit has the potential as a raw material for cakes that are still underutilized. The purpose of community service is 1. To increase the value of mangrove ecosystems through the processing of grey mangrove as ingredients for making cakes in Sungai Kayu Ara Village, Sungai Apit District 2. To increase the types of cake making materials for communities around mangrove forests in particular, and 3. Improving the community's economy which continues to increase public awareness to preserve the mangrove ecosystem in Sungai Kayu Ara Village, Sungai Apit District. The results of this counseling activity showed that the participants seriously listened to the material delivered by the extension team from beginning to end. The participants can understand the material presented well and play an active role in the question and answer session, discussion, and directly involved with the speakers and students in making muffins and puddings. As many as 90% of participants who never knew the gey mangrove fruit could be turned into flour after counseling became all of them. Participants who previously only 15% knew of the potential of fires for baking ingredients after counseling activities became 100% understood. As many as 90% of participants believe that with the increased economic value of mangrove forests, mangroves can be sustainable
