Abstract

The low level of thinking ability of elementary school students is one of the problems that need to be considered. This study aims to know the influence of finger puppet media on students' high level of thinking ability in elementary school. The method used is a quarquis of nonequivalent control group design experiments. The population in this study was fourth grader in one of bandung elementary school which numbered 47 students and divided into two classes, namely experimental class and control class. The results showed there was a significant difference between posttest experiment class and control class. From these results it can be concluded that finger puppet media has a significant influence on students' high level of thinking ability in elementary school. Thus, students get meaningful learning and teachers get learning media that is able to improve students' high level of thinking ability which is assessed from the ability to analyze, which includes 3 indicators, namely determining the theme, determining the main idea, and determining the content of the story message.

Abstract

The students’ skill in exploring creative ideas in writing is a problem that needs to be taken seriously. This happens because of the students’ lack of creative thinking in exploring some ideas in words. The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of experiential learning model on primary school students’ creative thinking skill. The method used quasi-experimental of non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research was a group of fourth grader students of Sekolah Dasar Labschool UPI (Labschool UPI Primary School) in total of 47 students and divided in to two separate classes, which were an experimental class and a control class. The results of this research revealed significant contrasts in post-test between an experimental class and a control class. The results concluded that the experiential learning model has significant effects on primary school students’ creative thinking skill. Therefore, the experiential learning model is one of the solutions for teacher to develop students’ creative thinking skill, especially in writing from the aspects of flexibility, fluency, originality and elaboration. Moreover, the outcome ideas were diverse, expressive and comprehensible.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the related planning, implementation, assessment, and obstacles the webbed type integrative thematic learning approach. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display and conclusions. The results showed that (1) the webbed type integrating thematic learning planning that was carried out was in accordance with the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 22/2016 on Basic and Secondary Education Process Standards. (2) the implementation of webbed type integrative thematic learning the teacher has carried out the three stages, namely preliminary activities, core activities and closing activities. (3) assessment of the webbed type of integrated thematic learning in the teacher learning process using observation sheets and assessment reflections, while the assessment at the end of teacher learning uses written tests and oral tests. (4) the obstacles experienced by the teacher, namely the determination of time allocation, the delivery of material in class I that is not in accordance with the situation and condition of the students, the teacher must be able to understand the methods and strategies

Abstract

Pantun merupakan salah satu pembelajaran sastra yang mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam tiga puluh lima pantun nasihat dan kesesuaian nilai-nilai karakter dalam pantun nasihat pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Obyek penelitian yang dianalisis adalah tiga puluh lima pantun nasihat dan objek dalam penelitian adalah nilai-nilai karakter dalam 35 pantun nasihat. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, kartu data, dan wawancara. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari tiga puluh lima pantun nasihat yang djadikan objek penelitian mengandung tujuh belas nilai-nilai karakter, yaitu nilai-nilai religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/ komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Nilai-nilai karakter dalam pantun nasihat tersebut sesuai dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar yaitu mewarisi nilai luhur dan mengkreasikan puisi rakyat kurikulum 2013. Oleh karena itu, nilai-nilai karakter dalam pantun nasihat dapat dijadikan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar.
