Abstract

In general, the smoke fish Processing Society is a society with a lack of knowledge, so that the smoking equipment is not equipped with chimneys because of the expensive production cost, the marination using a simple tool-less Practical and unproductive. So, it is necessary to develop a semi-modern fumigation technology and the community is easy to use. Smoking cabinet utilization as an alternative to environmentally friendly smoking methods is the time to apply in Indonesia. The problem faced by partners in the process of the daily fish smoking worker using the extra power to back the smoked fish, the coal fan and the harmful for the worker is the smoke issued by the fuel so that it can Interfere with the worker's breathing and make sore eyes. By looking at the conditions in the community in processing the smoked fish are done in a traditional and long time, so the need for a more efficient fish-sucking equipment, to help improve the process of smoking fish and reducing air pollution. From the results of this devotion produced a fish smoke machine with a capacity of 10 kg, 60 Watt motor power with an average temperature of 76oC. This smoke machine can reduce the moisture content contained in fish by approximately 10%. Besides, the partners understand the use and maintenance of equipment and with such tools can reduce air pollution.

Abstract

Application technology for society of catfish’s entrepreneur has been done in Kedungrejo village, Muncar district. The purpose of this activity to improve the knowledge of partners for catfish’s business, appropriate technology for making pellet has been applicated to decrease the cost of catfish feed (pellet). The target reached is producing appropriate technology for catfish feed mould, improvement knowledge of partner in catfish business was marked with increasing capability to make catfish feed independently and increasing the number of catfish harvested 50-70%.  The result of this activity is the creation of catfish feed with drying system machine. The improvement of knowledge in operating and maintenance of that machine through the training by the dedication team. By the appropriate technology of catfish feed with drying system machine, the income of catfish business was increased 70% from the total cost. This activity was very advantages for the partners

Abstract

Banyuwangi is one of the regencies that has many small and medium businesses, one of which is oyster mushroom cultivation, precisely in Sidorejo Village, Purwoharjo District. Oyster mushroom cultivation is chosen by the community because it does not require a lot of capital and is easy to maintain. In the process of making baglog of oyster mushrooms, the most important thing is the process of sifting sawdust and stirring the mixture of ingredients for making baglog of mushrooms because it greatly affects the growth of mycelia unevenly. In general, partners in the process of making mushroom baglogs still use a manual system so that it is less efficient, especially in the process of sieving sawdust and mixing materials, so it requires an appropriate machine. In this service activity, the team provided a sieving machine and a mixer for a mushroom baglog mixture with a motor power of 1 PK, dimensions of 100cmx60cmx120cm, and a capacity of 100 kg/hour to speed up production. In addition, this program can help partners to better understand materials for making baglogs, the process of using machines, and maintenance after using machines effectively.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on analyzing the results of drying performance on fish meat drying machines with a closed system which aims to determine the level of water content reduction in fish meat after the smoking process. In the design of the fish meat smoking machine, testing is carried out at a temperature of 50oC to 70oC to calculate heat, thermal efficiency, moisture content, and smoking time. So with this machine, the smoking process will be more hygienic and efficient than conventional smoking. The results of calculations and discussions show that the rate of heat energy entering the smoking rack is 996 watts, and the rate of heat energy of vaporization is 154.71 watts. Thermal efficiency is obtained from the ratio of heat energy and heat energy rate of vaporization of 15.53%. From the experimental results, the final water content of grouper fish was 46.67%, baronang fish 45%, tuna fish 50%, and lemuru fish 40%.

Abstract

Some of the problems with quails are the price of feed, quails die when laying eggs, and mixing feed manually, so that egg sales cannot cover the cost of feed. The solution offered through this service program is to apply a horizontal screw type mixer machine and provide training on optimal feed composition to reduce the number of quail deaths when laying eggs and increase the number of egg production by evenly mixing the feed. The pre-implementation of this service began with a survey to partner locations in Kedungrejo Village, Muncar, Banyuwangi to discuss the problems of partner and their solutions. The application, operational assistance, and maintenance of a 125 kg capacity mixer machine are carried out in the implementation of the service, as well as training in making optimal feed compositions. The uses of this machine slightly reduce the financial benefits, but it is very helpful in terms of energy and time in mixing the feed, so there are more positive sides with the use of this machine.

Abstract

Gunung Ijen terletak di perbatasan kabupaten Banyuwangi dan Bondowoso. Gunung Ijen merupakan salah satu gunung aktif di Indonesia dengan ketinggian 2443 mdpl. Gunung ijen terkenal dikalangan wisatawan domestik maupun luar negeri karena fenomena alam api biru dan penambang belerang tradisional. Berdasarkan pengamatan terakhir dari Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPDB) kabupaten Banyuwangi pada bulan maret 2018 tercatat 30 orang mengalami keracunan gas CO dan H2S. Berdasarkan Kepala Pos Pengamatan Gunung Api (PPGA) Kawah Ijen, pada bulan maret terjadi aktifitas vulkanik yang memicu keluarnya gas CO dan H2S dalam konsentrasi pekat dan membahayakan pengunjung, penambang maupun penduduk sekitar. Peringatan dini gas beracun (CO, H2S) diperlukan sebagai dasar evakuasi sebelum jatuh korban. Kondisi wilayah kawah ijen dengan tebing curam mencapai kemiringan 45o, berbatu, terjal dan licin, sehingga memerlukan pemantauan gas beracun dengan teknologi jaringan nirkabel. Pemanfaatan WSN dengan topologi Star Single Hop dapat digunakan sebagai Early Warning System (EWS).Beberapa syarat harus dipenuhi agar paket data dan gain signal tetap pada posisi optimal. Jarak antar sensor data dan server maksimal 100 meter. Jumlah paket data yang dikirimkan maksimal 200 tiap mili detik dengan kecepatan 3.14 Kbps. Mount Ijen is located on the border of Banyuwangi and Bondowoso districts. Mount Ijen is one of the active mountains in Indonesia with an altitude of 2443 masl. Gunung Ijen is well-known among domestic and foreign tourists because of the natural phenomenon of blue fire and traditional sulfur miners. Based on the latest observations from the Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Alam (BPDB) of Banyuwangi district in March 2018 there were 30 people experiencing CO and H2S gas poisoning. According to the Kepala Pos Pengamatan Gunng Api (PPGA) of Ijen Crater, volcanic activity occurred in March which triggered the release of CO and H2S gas in concentrated concentrations and endangered visitors, miners and surrounding residents. Early warning of toxic gases (CO, H2S) is needed as a basis for evacuation before falling victim. The condition of the Ijen crater area with steep cliffs reaches a slope of 450, rocky, steep and slippery, which requires monitoring of toxic gases with wireless network technology. The utilization of WSN with StarSingle Hop topology can be used as an Early Warning System (EWS).Some requirements must be fulfilled so that the data package and signal gain remain in the optimal position. The distance between the data sensor and the server is a maximum of 100 meters. The number of data packets sent is a maximum of 200 each milliseconds at a speed of 3.14 Kbps.
