Abstract

Pengamatan zat hara (fosfat, nitrat), oksigen terlarut dan pH telah dilakukan di perairan Jikumerasa, Pulau Buru pada bulan April 2014. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas air ditinjau dari kandungan zat hara yang merupakan indikator kesuburan perairan serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Analisa fosfat dan nitrat berdasarkan metoda spektrofotometri menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-VIS Shimadzu f1700. Kadar oksigen terlarut ditentukan dengan metoda titrasi Winkler dan derajat keasaman (pH) diukur dengan pH meter HANNA seri HI9024. Hasilnya menunjukkan kadar fosfat berkisar antara 0,005-0,012  mg/l, nitrat antara 0,013-0,015 mg/l, oksigen terlarut antara 5,57-5,96 dan pH 7,65-7,67. Kadar fosfat, nitrat, oksigen terlarut dan nilai pH perairan Jikumerasa tergolong normal untuk kesuburan suatu perairan dan masih baik untuk kehidupan berbagai biota

Abstract

Penelitian tentang karakteristik fosfat, nitrat dan oksigen terlarut telah dilaksanakan di perairan Selat Lembeh, Sulawesi Utara Juli 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji karakteristik dan sebaran fosfat, nitrat dan oksigen terlarut di perairan Selat Lembeh. Fosfat dan nitrat dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri, sedangkan oksigen terlarut ditentukan dengan metoda elektrokimia. Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa kadar fosfat dan nitrat di lapisan permukaan dengan dekat dasar adalah berbeda nyata. Kadar oksigen terlarut tidak berbeda nyata antara lapisan permukaan dengan dekat dasar. Tinggi rendahnya kosentrasi fosfat, nitrat dan oksigen terlarut di perairan Selat Lembeh dipengaruhi oleh arus, pergerakan massa air, aktifitas plankton dan masukkan dari daratan. Kadar fosfat, nitrat dan oksigen terlarut di perairan Selat Lembeh masih tergolong normal dan baik untuk kehidupan biota laut.

Abstract

The observation of dissolved oxygen level and Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU) in Lembeh Strait Waters was conducted in January, February, June and July 2016. The objective of this research is to know the condition of dissolved oxygen and Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU). The results of the analysis showed that dissolved oxygen levels in the surface layer and near the bottom ranged from 6.00-6.56 mg/l and 5.59-6.17 mg/l. Based on the values of temperature and salinity obtained from this study, solubility, oxygen saturation degree and AOU value at the surface layer were calculated. In the surface layer the AOU values are positive, ranging from 0.10-0.72 mg/l, while near the bottom, negative and positive AOU values were balanced, ranging from -0.23-0.42 mg/l. The concentration of dissolved oxygen in the Lembeh Strait waters has not shown negative impact on the aquatic environment and is still in accordance with sea water quality standards for marine biota.Keywords: Dissolved oxygen, apparent oxygen utilization (AOU), Lembeh Strait. ABSTRAK         Pengamatan kadar oksigen terlarut dan Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU) di Perairan Selat Lembeh dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari, Februari, Juni dan Juli 2016. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa kadar oksigen terlarut di lapisan permukaan dan dekat dasar berkisar antara 6,00-6,56 mg/l dan 5,59-6,17 mg/l. Berdasarkan nilai suhu dan salinitas yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini telah dihitung daya larut, derajat kejenuhan oksigen dan nilai AOU pada lapisan permukaan. Di lapisan permukaan nilai AOU semuanya positip berkisar antara 0,10-0,72 mg/l dan di dekat dasar nilai AOU negatip dan positip berimbang, berkisar antara       -0,23-0,42 mg/l. Konsentrasi oksigen terlarut di perairan Selat Lembeh belum menunjukkan dampak negatip terhadap lingkungan perairan dan masih sesuai dengan baku mutu air laut untuk biota laut. Kata Kunci: Oksigen terlarut, apparent oxygen utilization (AOU), Selat Lembeh.

Abstract

Pengamatan kadar oksigen terlarut telah dilaksanakan di perairan Waigeo Barat, Raja Ampat, Papua Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi oksigen terlarut dan Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU). Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa kadar oksigen terlarut di lapisan permukaan, 5 meter dan dekat dasar masing-masing berkisar antara 5.90-8.48 mg/l; 6.06-8.04 mg/l dan 6.12-7.98 mg/l. Berdasarkan nilai suhu dan salinitas yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini telah dihitung daya larut, derajat kejenuhan oksigen dan nilai AOU. Di lapisan permukaan nilai AOU berkisar antara (-0.01)-2.77 mg/l, di kedalaman 5 meter dan dekat dasar nilai AOU positif masing-masing berkisar antara 0.10-2.06 mg/l dan (0.16)-1.99 mg/l. Konsentrasi oksigen terlarut di perairan Waigeo Barat, Raja Ampat, belum menunjukkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan perairan dan masih sesuai dengan baku mutu air laut untuk biota laut. Abstract

Pengamatan suhu, salinitas, pH dan oksigen terlarut di perairan terumbu karang Ternate, Tidore dan sekitarnya, telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2018. Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa suhu air dan oksigen terlarut di lapisan permukaan dengan dekat dasar adalah berbeda nyata. Salintas dan pH tidak berbeda nyata antara lapisan permukaan dengan dekat dasar. Variasi kedalaman air laut terhadap suhu, salinitas, pH dan kadar oksigen menunjukkan perbedaan yang relatip kecil namun masih dalam batas ambang kehidupan biota laut. Pada lapisan permukaan nilai AOU yang positip diperoleh 85,71 % dan AOU negatip 14,29 % menggambarkan adanya lokasi yang pemakaian oksigennya lebih besar daripada produksi oksigen. Nilai suhu air laut, salinitas, pH dan oksigen terlarut di perairan ternate, tidore dan sekitarnya belum menunjukkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan perairan dan masih baik untuk pertumbuhan terumbu karang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Monitoring hydrologic conditions in the waters of Talise Island, North Sulawesi has been conducted in July and October 2009. The result showed that the temperature ranged from 28.85 to 30.70 °C, salinity between 33.0 to 34.0 o/oo, the turbidity up to 24 m, dissolved oxygen between 5.05 to 6.01 ppm, phosphate between 0.015 to 0.056 mg/l, nitrate between 0.003 to 0.020 mg/l and pH between 6.91 to 8.18. These values were still preferable for coral growth and developments, and still in the range of the criterias established by the Ministry for Population and Environment (KLH) for various interests. Variation of hydrological conditions were not the cause of coral damage in the waters of Talise Island. Hasilnya menunjukkan suhu berkisar antara 28,85-30,70 oC, salinitas antara 33,0-34,0 o/oo, kecerahan antara tampak dasar td-24 m, oksigen terlarut antara 5,05-6,01 ppm, zat hara fosfat antara 0,015-0,056 mg/l,  nitrat antara 0,003-0,020 mg/l dan pH antara 6,91-8,18. Nilai-nilai tersebut masih baik untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan karang, dan masih sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kependudukan dan Lingkungan Hidup (KLH) untuk berbagai kepentingan. Abstract

ABSTRACT Distribution Temperature, Salinity and Dissolved Oxygen in Kema Waters, North Sulawesi. Distribution of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen in the water is very influential on the various aspects of the other parameters, such as chemical reactions and biological processes. Research on the conditions of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen in the Kema waters, North Sulawesi in April and May 2010. The results showed that temperature ranges from 28.2 to 32.5°C with an average of (30.1 ± 1.11°C), salinity between 28.0 to 33.0o/oo with an average of (31.7 ± 1.36o/oo) and dissolved oxygen between 3.46 to 6.25 ppm with an average of (4.73 ± 0.76 ppm). Distribution of values ​​of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen levels vary. Variations in temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen in these waters was affercted by external factors including weather, wind and currents. Conditions of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen in this waters were still relatively normal and preferable for marine life. Keywords : temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, Kema, North Sulawesi   ABSTRAK Distribusi suhu, salinitas dan oksigen terlarut di suatu perairan sangat berpengaruh pada berbagai aspek parameter lain, seperti reaksi kimia dan proses biologi. Penelitian mengenai kondisi suhu, salinitas dan oksigen terlarut di perairan Kema, Sulawesi Utara dilakukan pada bulan April dan Mei 2010. Hasilnya menunjukkan suhu berkisar antara 28,2 - 32,5oC dengan  rata-rata (30,1±1,11oC), salinitas antara 28,0-33,0o/oo dengan rata-rata (31,7±1,36o/oo) dan oksigen terlarut antara 3,46-6,25 ppm dengan rata-rata (4,73±0,76 ppm). Sebaran nilai suhu, salinitas dan kadar oksigen terlarut cukup bervariasi. Bervariasinya suhu, salinitas dan oksigen terlarut di perairan ini dipengruhi oleh fakktor eksternal antara lain cuaca, angin dan arus. Kondisi suhu, salinitas dan oksigen terlaut perairan ini masih tergolong normal dan baik untuk kehidupan biota laut. Kata kunci : suhu, salinitas, oksigen terlarut, Kema, Sulawesi Utara

Abstract

Phosphate and nitrate are a source of food for micro-organisms, while dissolved oxygen is required in the process of respiration in variety of aquatic organisms. Observations of phosphate, nitrate and dissolved oxygen levels have been conducted in the waters of Talise Island, North Sulawesi. Phosphate and nitrate concentration measurements carried out using spectrophotometric method, while dissolved oxygen was determined by electrochemical methods. Overall observations of phosphate, nitrate and dissolved oxygen levels in Talise Island waters, ranging between 0.005 to 0.056 mg/l, 0.012 to 0.034 mg/l and 5.05 to 6.01 ppm, respectively. Levels of phosphate, nitrate and dissolved oxygen in Talise Island Waters were still considered normal and suitable for marine life.Keywords : Phosphate, nitrate, dissolved oxygen,Talise Island, North Sulawesi

Abstract

Research on the structure of seagrass communities in the waters of the island Mantehage was conducted in September 2010. The purpose of this study is to collect data and information on the structure of seagrass communities. Observations includes the identification seagrass species, measuring the number of individual/stand, cover percentage of each type/species on the transect. 6 types of seagrass found, i.e. Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis, Thalassia hemprichii, Thalassodendron ciliatum, Cymodocea rotundata and Syringodium isoetifolium. Seagrass species composition and distribution varies at each location and is dominated by the presence of Thalassia hemprichii (48.14%) with coverage percentage ranges between 15.91% to 35.11%. Diversity index values ranged from 0.79 to 1.69 ; evenness index between 0.57 to 0.94 and the index of dominance between 0.20 to 0.56. In conclusion, the condition of seagrass meadows in Mantehage island is relatively good and can support marine life adequately.Keywords : Structure communities, seagrass, Mantehage Island

Abstract

Research on biodiversity and biomass of macroalgae in Kotania Bay waters, West Seram, Mollucas was conducted on July and August 2010. There were 20 species of macroalgae collected, in which 8 species were green algae (Chlorophyceae), 6 species of brown algae (Phaeophyceae), and 6 species of red algae (Rhodophyceae). The highest biomass of algae were collected in Loupesi, as much as 127,01 g/m2, followed by Burung Island (119.42 g/m2), Wael (63.43 g/m2), and the lowest were found in Buntal Island (20.64 g/m2). The macroalgae found in sampling area were dominated by Halimeda, Padina and Sargassum. The highest biomass were found on Sargassum duplicatum (570.00 g/m2), Halimeda opuntia (271.33 g/m2), Gracillaria crassa (198.13 g/m2), and Sargassum crispivallum (178.00 g/m2).   Keywords: Macroalgae, biodiversity, biomass, Kotania Bay, West Seram. ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang keanekaragaman dan biomassa  makro algae di perairan Teluk Kotania, Seram Barat, Maluku telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli dan Agustus 2010.  Algae yang dikumpulkan sebanyak 20 jenis, terdiri dari 8 jenis algae hijau (Chlorophyceae), 6 jenis algae coklat (Phaeophyceae) dan 6 jenis algae merah (Rhodophyceae).  Biomassa algae tertinggi ditemukan di Loupesi yaitu 127,01 g/m2 dikuti Pulau Burung 119,42 g/m2, Wael 63,43 g/m2 dan terendah di Pulau Buntal 20,64 g/m2. Algae yang dominan adalah Halimeda, Padina dan Sargasum. Biomassa tertinggi diperoleh pada jenis Sargassum duplicatum (570,00 g/m2), Halimeda opuntia (271,33 g/m2), Gracilaria crassa (198,13 g/m2), dan Sargassum crispivallum (178,00 g/m2).   Kata kunci: Makro algae, keanekaragaman, biomassa, Teluk Kotania, Seram Barat.
