Abstract

AbstractIn this era of globalization, the human’s need to have an fast information becomes veryimportant for the community. The mass media is a form of mass communication that is capable ofproviding the need for quick information about what happened. Facing fierce competition in the massmedia business that requires social and economic strength of this, then there is the tendency of mediaconsolidation which then leads to the emergence of mass media giant group of players who laterled to the concentration of media ownership is often called konglemerasi media. Conglomerationof media influence on the content or programs submitted to the community in which the contentor the program represents the economic and political interests of media owners. As a result, theinterests of the community to get the truth be lost. All this because of the process of agenda setting andframing is done by the media that are tailored to the interests of the owner. Truth is not found in thesecommunities can lead society to accept the truth version from hegemony of mass media.

Abstract

The development of technology does not go hand in hand with children's ability to respond to information waves. Generation Z children are technically skilled at using media. However, the ability to understand media content, media ethics, and critical understanding is still at a fairly low level. The media literacy movement in Indonesia is understood as digital education, weak in critical thinking, and its various activities are only in the form of top-down socialization. This study aims to find the suitable literacy model for digital natives in Magelang, which is currently predicated as a Kota Layak Anak (KLA) in the Nindya category. In achieving the research objectives, researchers used a qualitative approach with participatory methods that had never been used in previous research with similar themes. This study places children as social actors and leaders in research (child-led research) to produce a media literacy model design with a child's perspective. Children's aspiration data shows that the media literacy model that has been accepted is in the form of one-way socialization so that it does not have much effect on their lives. Children expect a discussion space to convey their opinions on current issues and government policies related to children. In accordance with the aspirations of these children, media literacy based on the journalist community (children-led community) can be used as one of the media literacy models that can be applied in KLA. This model can lead to the fulfillment of the fourth KLA cluster indicators, namely the available creative space that can be used by children. At the same time, this literacy model helps to realize cluster two and also fulfill children's civil rights as an indicator in cluster one.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Hubungan Antara Intensitas Mengakses Situs Dewasa,Perhatian Orang Tua, Dan Pergaulan Dengan Teman Sebaya Dengan Perilaku SeksualPranikah Remaja Di Kawasan Rw 04 Kelurahan Genuk Kecamatan Ungaran Barat”. Variabelindependent pada penelitian ini adalah intensitas mengakses situs dewasa (X1), perhatianorang tua (X2), dan pergaulan dengan teman sebaya (X3), sedangkan variabel dependentnyaadalah perilaku seksual pranikah (Y). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisishubungan intensitas mengakses situs dewasa, perhatian orang tua, dan lingkungan pergaulanterhadap perilaku seksual pranikah remaja. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahteori Internet Addiction milik Young (1998), teori Pembentukan Kepribadian yangdikemukakan oleh Geldard (2011) dan teori Pergaulan Berbeda oleh Edwin H. Sutherland(2012). Penelitian ini mengambil sampel sebanyak 40 responden. Teknik yang digunakandalam pengambilan sampel ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik “Simple RandomSampling”, dan metode yang digunakan adalah eksplanatori, yaitu untuk mencari hubunganantara variabel yang satu dengan variabel yang lain dan menguji hipotesis yang ada.Uji analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan “Kendall’s Tau”. Berdasarkan ujistatistik, diperoleh hasil antara X1 dengan Y, rs = 0.771 dengan signifikansi 0.01. Hal inidapat dinyatakan bahwa “terdapat hubungan positif antara intensitas mengakses situs dewasa(X1) dengan perilaku seksual pranikah remaja (Y)”, dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif (Ha)diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak,Sedangkan hubungan X2 dengan Y, rs = -0.333 dengan signifikansi 0.01. Hal inidapat dinyatakan bahwa “terdapat hubungan negatif antara perhatian orang tua (X2) denganperilaku seksual pranikah remaja (Y)”, dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima danhipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Kemudian X3 dengan Y, rs = 0.342 dengan signifikansi 0.01. Halini dapat dinyatakan bahwa “terdapat hubungan positif antara perhatian orang tua (X3)dengan perilaku seksual pranikah remaja (Y)”, dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif (Ha)diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Merujuk ke hasil penelitian bisa diamati bahwaperhatian orang tua masuk pada kategori kurang. Perhatian orang tua sangat mempengaruhikepribadian anak, sehingga orang tua diharapkan mampu menaruh perhatian lebih kepadaanaknya. Walaupun orang tua sibuk, perhatian tetap dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai caraantara lain rajin menelepon anak, mengirimkan pesan singkat sehingga anak merasa terpantaudan diperhatikan oleh orang tuanya. Perhatian yang tinggi akan membentuk kepribadian anakmenjadi lebih baik.Kata kunci : Intensitas Mengakses Situs Dewasa, Perhatian Orang Tua, Pergaulan,Perilaku Seksual Pranikah

Abstract

Legal awareness is self-awareness without pressure, coercion, or orders from outside to submit to applicable law. With the running of legal awareness in the community, the law does not need to impose sanctions. Sanctions are only imposed on citizens who have proven to be violating the law. One of the legal problems today is the low awareness of the legal community, resulting in many violations of the law. The methods used in community service activities are lectures, discussions, questions and answers and simulations, so that the activities can run without boundaries and boundaries between the community service team and the community. Likewise in the implementation of community service, the service team applies the lecture, discussion, question and answer and simulation methods and uses a contextual approach in providing counseling and briefing to the community about the impact it has on the mindset of society related to traffic order. Initially, legal awareness mostly revolves around the mindset that assumes that awareness in the community is a deciding factor as a law. With the socialization carried out by the community service team, citizens became more sensitive and concerned about the importance of orderly traffic so that eventually Good Citizenship was formed.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine and analyze the ways of communicating in a "social climber" group while in their social environment at Apartments Kalibata City, South Jakarta. This study uses qualitative methods with the type of discourse analysis research. The method used by researchers is a case study with observation and interviews as a method of data collection. In the end this study aims to provide an overview and understanding of the phenomenon of "social climber" and various reasons behind it. The results of the study showed that in their interactions, the Climber group used the media to convey their messages, in the form of verbal messages and non-verbal messages. Each message is chosen according to what they want to convey to group members and their social environment by showing their roles and impressions, namely being in the middle to upper social class. they aim to be "seen" coming from the upper middle class and they can be accepted by group members and the public in their social environmentKeywords: social_climbing, descriptive, lifestyle, social status_, social acceptance.

Abstract

Kota Layak Anak (KLA) is a government program that is being developed, one of which is in the Magelang city which received appreciation as the KLA category Nindya. However, this program has not included the criteria for media literacy as one indicator of its success. Meanwhile children dependent on the media. Research conducted by this survey method seeks to map patterns of child media behavior as a baseline data for the development of KLA policy and the basis for the media literacy movement. The results show that children in the Magelang city prefer to choose a combination of television and internet media to meet their needs. Parents provide access to media, but do not provide guidance to children when consuming media. At the same time, the government and schools are doing policy centered in media literacy that are not effective in their implementation. On the other hand, local wisdom in the form of the religious values of the Magelang community can reduce the negative impact of the media on children.

Abstract

Abstract: The need for information is increasing, making the media develop into various formsand functions, which make it easier for humans to meet their needs. The presence of the internethas brought revolution and innovation in the way humans communicate and obtain information.The internet has succeeded in overcoming classic human problems, because the limitations ofdistance, space and time are no longer a significant obstacle. Social networks have a positiveimpact on community communication. But behind it all there are also negative impacts that arefelt by many users of social media. The negative impact is caused because the community is notgood at choosing and sorting out the good ones and the bad ones. This study aims to find outthe attitude of Digital Natives about how the news is especially related to politics on Facebookahead of the 2019 Presidential Election. This study uses qualitative methods that seek to digdeep information, and be open to all responses and answers. The conclusion of this research isthat all informants agreed to keep checking a news / information that they found on Facebookto be more convincing and know the truth of the news they saw. Given the current many newshoaxes that make people dibelief in the news / information on social media.

Abstract

Public sphere is a theory who created and popularized by Habermas who focus on a historical studies of a critical discussion as a feedback to social realities consists of politic, culture, and anything else that interests the citizen happen in 18th century. Emergence of the internet as a new media make cultural change and transfrom the public sphere into something that has a big scale who can access anywhere and anytime. This is a point of the attention to see how shape, character and the problem about the public sphere in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the work patterns of middle and young journalists in the newspaper industry. Journalists work patterns seen from the process of selecting news, researching news, and writing news. With the advent of the digital era, these three processes can be seen by the consumption patterns of digital media for middle and young journalists. This study was conducted using a study case with in-depth interviews with journalists of the Suara Merdeka newspaper. The results showed that the presence of digital media is used by middle and young journalists in the local newspape for personal needs outside of journalistic duties. The reason for this is the pattern of digital media consumption of young and middle journalists who are included in the categories of “joiners” and “conversationalists”. In other words they are connoisseurs and spectators. For news development and idea searches, they rely more on news sources in the form of press releases, local government, e-mail and emergency services rather than internet research. This is related to the company's principles which try to minimize legal problems from published news.
