Abstract

In large metro areas such as Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi, the electric train (KRL) is a popular means of transportation because it runs quickly and on time despite being crowded. To help prevent the sexual harassment of female passengers, some KRL carriages are designated specifically for women. This study examines differences in female KRL passengers’ anxiety about sexual harassment in mixed carriages and women-only carriages on the Bogor–Jakarta route (n = 100) and Bekasi – Jakarta route (n = 110), using the Anxiety About Sexual Harassment Scale (Leitenberg & McNeil, 1990; Dacey, 2000). Significant differences in anxiety about sexual harassment were found among women who rode in women-only versus mixed carriages on the Bogor–Jakarta route but not on the Bekasi–Jakarta route. However, in general, participants who rode women-only carriages had higher anxiety than those who rode mixed carriages. This finding was confirmed by interviews with 35 female passengers (7 from the Bogor–Jakarta route, 28 from the Bekasi–Jakarta route). Some women expressed a preference for riding mixed cars because male passengers made room for them to enter or exit the cars and offered them seats. Meanwhile, some participants reported not choosing women-only carriages because the other passengers behaved aggressively.

Abstract

Consciousness has been a popular topic in transpersonal psychology although the reviews were more focused on level of consciousness and states of consciousness. Theories of consciousness level are heavily influenced by perenial phylosophy concerning universal elements of consciousness, that are body, mind, soul and spirit. Transpersonal psychology also integrates Western and Eastern approaches in explaining consciousness. Both traditions have a variety and richness of tehniques to reach the four level of body, mind, soul and spirit. Davis (2003) describes transpersonal psychology as psychology that fully integrates psychological concepts, theories, and methods with practices and subject matter of spiritual sciences. In other word, the integration involves both theoretical and practical domains. This paper describes transpersonal psychology’s efforts in integrating psychotherapy.

Abstract

Abstract Pondok Tetirah Dzikir (PTD) is an Islamic boarding school for drug addicts from impoverished communities. These patients are classified as santri (students) and are eligible for six months of mental health services under TQN (Tarekat Qodiriyah Naqshbandiyah). The results of a case study on former drug dealers show that former drug addicts who have been rehabilitated at PTD have different characteristics than those who have been rehabilitated at other rehabilitation institutions. In comparison to other rehabilitation institutions, the subject never relapsed again after undergoing rehabilitation. This is due to the desire to do hijra, the desire to have a clear goal after rehabilitation, Dhikr with PTD alumni, friendship (silaturrahim) and mutual strengthening with PTD alumni, and aspirations as a penancer. Kata Kunci: after care; pondok pesantren; tarekat qodiriyah naqsybandiyah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of ESG score and its pillars (environmental, social, and governance score), as a proxy of sustainable companies, on working capital requirements (WCR) and cash conversion cycle (CCC) of Indonesian listing companies for the period 2015-2020. The ESG and pillar scores are obtained from the Thomson Reuters Refinitiv Eikon terminal. The research covers 29 non-financial listed companies in Indonesia in the six years with a total of 174 observations through the purposive sampling technique. This study finds that on average non-financial companies in Indonesia use a conservative working capital strategy which makes the company's working capital too large. Based on balance panel data and the robust OLS method, the result shows that ESG and its pillars can be a determinant in working capital. ESG, environmental pillars, and social pillars scores can reduce working capital requirements and shorten cash conversion cycles. Meanwhile, the governance pillar score does not affect working capital. Hence, ESG, environmental pillars, and social pillars can encourage companies to have lower working capital requirements and shorter cash conversion cycles so that companies with high ESG performance tend to use aggressive working capital strategies and turn the business operates more efficiently. Thus, ESG can lead to resource advantage and be a signal of company efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the degree and structure of dependence on the stock return of pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia that are listed on the IDX linearly with the Jakarta Composite Index (JKSE) within the period of 2019-202. This study also wants to see whether there is an effect of increasing searches for "Covid" on the stock return of these pharmaceutical stocks. The study found that there was an effect on the degree of dependence of stock returns which was positive but there were no significant changes in the structure of dependence. Meanwhile, it is known that online searches do not have a significant impact on pharmaceutical stock returns during the pandemic.
