Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the differences of social studies study result and activites between studenst who studied with Two Stay Two Stray model (eksperiment class) and students who studied with conventional learning model (control class) at 8th grader in Belitang 1st Junior High State School. This research was using quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The data were collected by using observation, documentation, and test. In the other hand, data analysts technique was paired-sample T-Test and two way anova for the different test and influence test. Based on the research result, it  can be concluded that (1) there were a difference between student who studied with Two Stay Two Stray model and conventional methode toward the social studies study result, and (2) there were influnce of Two Stay Two Stray model toward student activities when they studied social studies.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPS dan aktivitas siswa antara siswa yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran konvensional atau ceramah (kelas kontrol) dan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa. kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Belitang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasy experiment (eksperimen semu) dengan designpre-test post-test control group design.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Sementara analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji paired-sampel t-test dan anova dua jalur untuk uji beda serta uji pengaruh. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray dengan yang belajar menggunakan metode ceramah, dan (2) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray terhadap aktivitas belajar IPS siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, model pembelajaran two stay two stray
