Abstract

Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) di Indonesia sangat dipengaruhi oleh rendahnya status gizi balita. status gizi pada balita harus sangat dijaga dan diperhatikan secara serius dari orang tua, karena terjadi malnutrisi pada masa ini akan bisa menyebabkan kerusakan yang irreversibel. Keadaan gizi sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang saling berhubungan. Tingkat pendidikan dan pekerjaan orang tua, pemberian ASI , morbiditas dan status ekonomi keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi balita di Desa Baregbeg Kabupaten Ciamis Tahun 2020. penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang mempunyai balita di Wilayah Kerja Desa Baregbeg Kabupaten Ciamis sebanyak 336 orang. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan tekhnik accidental sampling dan didapat 77 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baregbeg Kabupaten Ciamis menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan ibu paling banyak pendidikan menengah yaitu 51 orang (66,2%), pengetahuan ibu paling banyak kurang yaitu 40 orang (51.9%), Balita tidak BBLR yaitu 58 orang (75.5%), imunisasi bayi paling banyak tidak lengkap yaitu 53 orang (68.8%), balita paling banyak tidak eksklusif yaitu 55 orang (71,4%) dan pendapatan ibu paling banyak rendah yaitu 50 orang (64,9%). Perlu mengoptimalkan program pemantauan status gizi anak balita dan meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi masyarakat melalui penyuluhan-penyuluhan pada saat kegiatan PKK, posyandu, dan lain-lain.The Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia is strongly influenced by the low nutritional status of children ages 0-5. The nutritional status of toddlers must be maintained and taken seriously by parents because malnutrition happened at this period can cause an irreversible damage. The state of nutrition in children is strongly influenced by several interrelated factors. Among others are the level of parents’ education, occupation, breastfeeding, morbidity and economic status of the family. The present study aims to describe the factors influencing the nutritional status of children ages 0-5 in Baregbeg Village, Ciamis Regency. To achieve the aim, the study utilized descriptive research approach involving 336 mothers with children under five in the working area of Baregbeg Village, Ciamis Regency as the population. In drawing the sample, the study employed accidental sampling technique and obtained 77 people. By using questionnaire as the data collection, the study showed several findings; most of the mothers’ education level (51 people or 66.2%) was secondary education; most of the mothers (40 people or 51.9%) have insufficient knowledge about nutrition; most of the toddlers (58 people or 75.5%) have no low body weight (LBW); most of the infant immunization (53 people or 68.8%) was incomplete; most of the toddlers (55 people or 71.4%) did not get exclusive breastfeeding; and the number of mothers with highest income was 50 people (64.9%). It is necessary for the midwives to optimize the program monitoring the nutritional status of children ages 0-5, and to increase knowledge of the community nutrition by providing counseling during Family Welfare Program (or PKK), Integrated Service Post (or Posyandu), and other activities.
