Abstract

Abstract. Decision Support System of Students’ Study Speed Prediction Using ID3 Method. Speed can be a decisive period of study a student taking a degree in sajana. In this study would be built applications that serve to speed decision making predictions Students study Computer Science University of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Students will be expected sooner or later than the period of study by taking one course or thesis that will be undertaken after a certain semesters. There are many methods of classification of one method of ID3 (Induction Decision 3 Tree). Development system in this study made use of intelligent systems-based applications. The results achieved after the system is formed, among others, sophisticated and intelligent system capable of storing past data is used as a reference for decision making, where students with certain criteria can know the travel time of their studies, and can refer to the database so the system can be more detailed and rigorous in determining the choice. Keywords: study period speed, Decision Support Systems, ID3, Intelligent Systems Kecepatan masa studi dapat menjadi penentu seorang mahasiswa dalam menempuh gelar sajana. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibangun aplikasi yang berfungsi untuk pengambilan keputusan prediksi kecepatan studi Mahasiswa Teknik Informatika Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Mahasiswa akan diprediksi  cepat atau lambatnya masa studi dalam menempuh mata kuliah maupun skripsi yang akan dijalani setelah semester tertentu. Ada banyak metode klasifikasi salah satunya metode ID3 (Induction Decision 3 ‘Tree’). Pembangunan sistem dalam penelitian ini dibuat menggunakan aplikasi berbasis sistem  cerdas. Hasil yang dicapai setelah sistem ini terbentuk antara lain sistem canggih dan cerdas yang mampu menyimpan data masa lalu yang digunakan sebagai acuan pengambilan keputusan, dimana mahasiswa dengan kriteria tertentu dapat diketahui masa tempuh studi mereka, serta dapat mengacu pada database sehingga sistem dapat lebih detail serta teliti dalam menentukan pilihan. Kata Kunci: kecepatan masa studi, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, ID3, Sistem Cerdas

Abstract

This paper discusses numerical solution of natural convection in concentric annulus. Artificial Compressibility Method has been used to solve two dimensional Navier Stokes equations. And to strengthen the relationship between pressure and velocities, pressure was placed on the cell center, whereas the velocities and temperature were placed on cell vertex. Navier Stokes Equations were divided into discrete forms by finite volume method, so that flow conservation could be kept balance. The computation results show no significant difference with the other results solved using other computation method.

Abstract

The development of reading culture for this academic level used the metacognitive strategies. This research was a case study in wihich the data sources were randomly drawn from various print sources by cutting off the core of the text to be analyzed. The technique of data analysis was done with two steps. The first step was to identify each data based on the categories that contained in the cognitive domain. The second step was the results of the analysis of the cognitive domains viewed based on the metacognitive strategies that included the process of planning, monitoring, and evaluate. The results of the research are that reading culture at the academic level can be developed through metacognition strategy. The steps that can be done are the reader performs cognitive process starting from remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Then, every cognitive process is reviewed that the Academic reading culture can be developed with metacognitive strategies that are the type of intensive reading includes, reading comprehension, reading critically, reading creatively, reading interpretative, and reading reflective.

Abstract

This research aims to develop textbook situation and social context in pragmatic educational methods of research and development (R D) the Borg and Gall are modified into 8 development procedures. The results showed: (1) there is a context of abai's behavior carried out by students, (2) lack of understanding of students regarding the integration of the social situation and context as well as its application in the educational, and pragmatics (3) necessity developed educational textbook about pragmatics with integrating social situations and contexts in it. As well, the results of the development shows that textbook that has been developed is worthy to be used with the results of validation experts from the aspect of the look, the linguistic material, and get an average score of 3.79 by category. The results of the assessment of the students from the aspect of the look, the linguistic material, and get an average score of 3.65 with very good category, as well as assessment of the lecturers pengampu courses from the aspect of the look, the linguistic material, and get an average score of 4.00 with the category very well.

Abstract

The research focused on nonverbal language (NvL) of Javanese people in Indonesia who spoke the first Javanese language and the second language Indonesian using an ethnopragmatic approach. The purpose of research was to describe the perception of the Javanese community on the use of NvL, both dynamic and static NvL. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation of people who were communicating, interviews with resource persons, and recording as supporting techniques for data collection. Data were analyzed by steps; data identification, classification, and interpretation. The results of research have theoretical implications. If aspects of local wisdom such as those possessed by the Javanese people are preserved, it will be able to provide benefits to the preservation of culture that has been passed down through generations in Javanese society. Such conditions will be able to illustrate that the community’s perspective on Javanese culture is still well maintained from the past until now.

Abstract

Abstract

This research describes the pragmatic meaning of verbal and nonverbal language of Sundanese people in Sindangkasih District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. This research is a qualitative research using ethnopragmatics. That is, verbal and nonverbal politeness of Sundanese people can be done through speech acts that use kinesthetic nonverbal language (facial, gestural, and postural). The data source of this research is routine activities carried out by Sundanese people in Sindangkasih Subdistrict. The data in this study are verbal and nonverbal languages that contain politeness. The technique of collecting data in this study was to adapt the ethnographic method and use the method of listening. The data analysis technique of this study uses a flow model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed that the pragmatic meaning of verbal and nonverbal politeness of Sundanese people was manifested through kinesthetic nonverbal language, namely nonverbal facial language (facial expressions / facial expressions); gestural (eye movements, head movements, and hand movements); and postural (movements of all limbs, such as bowing, standing upright, leftward, and rightward).Keywords: Verbal language, nonverbal language, and politeness

Abstract

AbstrakPraktik berbicara kategori monologika dapat dilakukan dengan beragam cara, serta dilakukan dengan mengintegrasi penggunaan media teknologi, informasi, dan komunikasi. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dan penilaian yang dilakukan dalam praktik berbicara monologika. Penelitian dilakukan bersama pelajar dan guru yang mengikuti perkuliahan pengembangan keterampilan berbicara. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik berbicara monologika dilakukan dengan melakukan praktik simulasi penyiaran radio dan reportase televisi. Penilaian dilakukan dengan menyusun rubrik penilaian kinerja yang disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek masing-masing praktik kegitan berbicara.Kata kunci: berbicara, monologika, simulasi pembelajaran. Abstract The practice of talking monologic categories can be done in a variety of ways, and is done by integrating the use of media technologies, information, and communication. Qualitative descriptive research is conducted in order to describe the learning and assessment processes conducted in the practice of speaking monologic. Research is conducted with students and teachers who follow the teaching skills development course.  Data collection is done with observation and interviews. Data analysis is done with three stages: data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the practice of speaking monologic was done by practicing radio broadcasting simulations and television reportage. The assessment was conducted by drafting a performance assessment section based on the aspects of each speech-related practice.Keyword: talking, monologic, education simulation.
