Abstract

Edisi desember dari majalah internasional National Geographic (2017) mengangkat suatu topic yang telah menantang ribuan bahkan jutaan pemikir, teolog, dan ahli sejarah, yakni kontroversi seputar siapakah Yesus dari Nazaret. Sebagai sebuah majalah semi-ilmiah dengan tiras yang cukup besar, tentu kita mesti mengangkat jempol atas keberanian majalah tersebut untuk mengangkat topik yang bagi sebagian orang disebut ‘politically incorrect.”

Abstract

In recent years, the Big Bang as described by the Lambda CDM-Standard Model Cosmology has become widely accepted by majority of physics and cosmology communities. But the philosophical problems remain, as Vaas pointed out: Did the universe have a beginning or does it exist forever, i.e. is it eternal at least in relation to the past? This fundamental question was a main topic in ancient philosophy of nature and the Middle Ages, and still has its revival in modern physical cosmology both in the controversy between the big bang and steady state models some decades ago and in the contemporary attempts to explain the big bang within a quantum cosmological (vacuum fluctuation) framework. In this paper we argue that Neutrosophic Logic offers a resolution to the long standing disputes between beginning and eternity of the Universe. In other words, in this respect we agree with Vaas, i.e. it can be shown: “how a conceptual and perhaps physical solution of the temporal aspect of Immanuel Kant’s „first antinomy of pure reason“ is possible, i.e. how our universe in some respect could have both a beginning and an eternal existence. Therefore, paradoxically, there might have been a time before time or a beginning of time in time.” By the help of computational simulation, we also show how a model of early Universe with rotation can fit this new picture. Further observations are recommended.

Abstract

One of the questions that often arises in end-time seminars is the verse in the Book of Revelation that says Babylon will fall (Rev. 18: 10,21). How should you interpret the text? The author proposes that the fall of Babylon has both literal and figurative significance, and has clear eschatological significance as will be explained later. === Salah satu pertanyaan yang kerap muncul dalam seminar-seminar akhir zaman, adalah mengenai ayat dalam Wahyu yang mengatakan bahwa Babel akan jatuh (Why. 18:10,21). Bagaimana sebaiknya memaknai teks tersebut? Penulis mengajukan pendapat bahwa jatuhnya Babel memiliki makna literal dan figuratif sekaligus, dan memiliki signifikansi eskatologis yang jelas seperti yang akan dijelaskan nanti.

Abstract

Continuing our previous paper, we gave an outline of a new integral model of human consciousness scheme beyond Freudian mental model. We start from a recent book by one of us: Neutropsychic personality. Then we discuss possibility to reintroduce spirit into human consciousness. To emphasize what we have outlined in a preceding paper, we consider the following: that human consciousness model should take into consideration “spirit” role, i.e. the mind-body-spirit as integral aspect, which view is neglected in the Freudian mental model. In this paper, we consider a further step: introducing “soul” as a different element of human consciousness. We also discuss a few possible applications of such an integral model of human consciousness, including relational psychotherapy and relational pedagogy. While we are fully aware that much remain to be done and we admit that this is only a sketch, we hope that this paper will start a fresh approach of research towards more realistic nonlinear human consciousness model. === Melanjutkan makalah kami sebelumnya, kami memberikan garis besar model integral baru skema kesadaran manusia di luar model mental Freudian. Kita mulai dari sebuah buku baru-baru ini oleh salah satu dari kita: kepribadian Neutropsik. Kemudian kita membahas kemungkinan untuk memperkenalkan kembali roh ke dalam kesadaran manusia. Untuk menekankan apa yang telah kami uraikan dalam makalah sebelumnya, kami mempertimbangkan yang berikut: bahwa model kesadaran manusia harus mempertimbangkan peran "roh", yaitu jiwa-raga-jiwa sebagai aspek integral, yang pandangannya diabaikan dalam model mental Freudian. Dalam tulisan ini, kami mempertimbangkan langkah selanjutnya: memperkenalkan "jiwa" sebagai elemen berbeda dari kesadaran manusia. Kami juga membahas beberapa aplikasi yang mungkin dari model integral dari kesadaran manusia, termasuk psikoterapi relasional dan pedagogi relasional. Sementara kami sepenuhnya menyadari bahwa masih banyak yang harus dilakukan dan kami mengakui bahwa ini hanya sketsa, kami berharap makalah ini akan memulai pendekatan penelitian baru menuju model kesadaran manusia nonlinier yang lebih realistis.

Abstract

In spiritual formation or discipline, one area that many of Christ's mature disciples often overlook is fasting. Especially fasting over a long period of time. This book written by Lou Engle and Dean Briggs reminds us to focus more on the area.%MCEPASTEBIN% === Dalam formasi atau disiplin spiritual, salah satu area yang kerap terabaikan oleh banyak murid Kristus dewasa ini  adalah berpuasa. Terutama berpuasa dalam jangka waktu panjang. Buku yang ditulis Lou Engle dan Dean Briggs ini mengingatkan kita untuk lebih bertekun di area tersebut.

Abstract

Pada hemat penulis, karya Thomas Hwang ini adalah salah satu buku yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pertobatan yang kudus tersebut. Tidak seperti buku-buku teks perbandingan agama yang seringkali cenderung bertele-tele dan tidak terlalu jelas ujung pangkalnya, Thomas Hwang melacak asal-usul agama-agama (kuno) di dunia sejak dari Kej. 3:15 yang oleh kalangan teolog disebut sebagai “proto-euangelion” atau Injil Purba. Dengan cermat Thomas Hwang merunut perkembangan dari Kej. 3:15 hingga Kej. 11 ketika Menara Babel dimurkai Tuhan, yang kemudian mengacaukan bahasa mereka.

Abstract

In this reflective article, the writers study Religiosity, sports and the ethics of mercy (hesed). This study departs from the author's observation of one of John Ortberg’s books. Ortberg explained in his work, among others that in the area of spirituality we often play like we want to score in basketball or baseball, with the hope of scoring as much as possible, whether quantitatively or qualitatively. Based on this thought, the writers observe the text of Philippians 2: 6-8, that Jesus is the only servant who can be emulated in all things by giving up the totality of His life for the sake of humanity. The uniqueness of Jesus as a servant of God has been reflected in the story of His life, namely He was born in a cage of animals and served indefinitely. And at the end of His life, He was willing to die in the most despicable state of being crucified. The story of Jesus is the story of God descending to earth who took on human appearance. The method used is a qualitative research method, and the authors examine the Philippian text to analyze the Bible's view of Religiosity, sport and the ethics of mercy (hesed). The reflective study process carried out by these authors is to use a variety of reliable library and electronic sources to support the authors's analysis. The results of this study, which were intended from the beginning as reflective narratives rather than theoretical analysis, are to believe that Jesus came down to earth as a manifestation of God's love from Heaven, and that should be an example for us all as His disciples. ====== Dalam tulisan berciri reflektif ini, penulis melakukan kajian terhadap Religiositas, olahraga dan etika belaskasih (hesed). Kajian ini berangkat dari pengamatan penulis terhadap sebuah buku John Ortberg. Ortberg menjelaskan dalam karyanya tersebut antara lain bahwa dalam area spiritualitas seringkali kita bermain seperti ingin mencetak skor dalam basket atau baseball, dengan harapan mencetak skor sebanyak-banyaknya, apakah secara kuantitatif atau secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, maka penulis mengamati teks Filipi 2:6-8, bahwa Yesus adalah satu-satunya hamba yang dapat diteladani dalam segala hal dengan menyerahkan totalitas hidup-Nya demi umat manusia. Keunikan Yesus sebagai hamba Tuhan telah tercermin dalam kisah hidup-Nya, yakni Dia lahir di kandang hewan dan melayani tanpa batas waktu. Dan pada akhir hidupNya, Dia rela mati dalam keadaan yang paling hina yakni disalibkan. Kisah Yesus adalah kisah Allah yang turun ke bumi yang mengambil rupa manusia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, penulis mengkaji teks Filipi untuk menganalisis pandangan Alkitab mengenai Religiositas, olahraga dan etika belaskasih (hesed). Proses kajian reflektif yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah menggunakan berbagai sumber pustaka maupun elektronik yang terpercaya untuk mendukung analisis penulis. Hasil penelitian ini, yang memang dari awal diniatkan sebagai narasi reflektif bukan teoritis analisis, hendak mengimani bahwa Yesus turun ke bumi sebagai perwujudan dari kasih Allah dari sorga, dan hal tersebut semestinya menjadi teladan bagi kita semua sebagai murid-murid-Nya.

Abstract

Buku ini merupakan kumpulan 8 tulisan dari teolog dari berbagai negara, dan beberapa di antaranya berasal atau mewakili kawasan yang bukan Eropa/Amerika. Justru karena itu buku ini menarik untuk disimak, karena banyak di antara tulisan tentang Trinitas atau Allah Tritunggal yang hanya mencerminkan pergumulan seputar imanensi dan transendensi Tuhan, yang merupakan salah satu ciri khas teolog Barat. Di antara tulisan-tulisan yang menarik dalam buku ini, 2 di antaranya yang sangat patut dicatat adalah bab 6 yang merupakan evaluasi terhadap empat upaya reformulasi teologi Trinitas, oleh teolog-teolog Asia.

Abstract

AbstrakDalam catatan awal ini kami mengajukan argumen bahwa konsep logikasentensial memuat kemungkinan betweenness/neitherness/ bothness yang tidakdikenal dalam logika biner Aristotelian. Kami mengusulkan bahwa konsep logikasentensial akan berguna untuk menjembatani dialog antara pendukung nondualisme seperti mistisisme kaum sufi dan para pendukung mazhab dualisme.Dalam konteks ini, kekristenan menawarkan kerangka berpikir bahwa hanyaYesuslah satu-satunya Sang Manunggaling Kawula Gusti yang sejati, sementarakita sebagai manusia dapat berperan sekaligus sebagai makhluk yang berbedadengan Sang Gusti, namun pada saat yang sama, umat percaya menyatu denganTuhan, meski bukan dengan konsep manunggalnya para sufi. Artinya, logikasentensial/ proposisional memungkinkan kita memahami bahwa manusiaserempak disatukan dengan Sang Khalik, namun pada saat yang sama tetapberbeda dengan Sang Khalik. Artinya non-dualisme dan dualisme pada saat yangsama. Tentunya diperlukan kajian yang lebih mendalam mengenai topik ini, yangakan kami tuliskan dalam artikel lain kemudian. AbstractIn this introductory exploration, we argue that the concept of sentential logiccontains a possibility of betweenness / neitherness / bothness unknown toAristotelian binary logic. We propose that the concept of sentential logic will beuseful for bridging the dialogue between supporters of non-dualism such as themysticism of the Sufis and the supporters of the dualism schools. In this context,Christianity offers a framework of thinking that only Jesus is the trueManunggaling Kawula Gusti, while we humans can simultaneously act ascreatures that are different from the Gusti (God), but at the same time, believersare one with God, although not the same with the concept of divine unity of theSufis. That is, sentential / propositional logic makes it possible that humans aresimultaneously united with the Creator, but at the same time remain differentfrom the Creator. It means non-dualism and dualism at the same time. For sure, amore in-depth exploration is required, and we plan to present it in another article.
