Abstract

AbstractWind speed changes at SUTET conductor besides having coolingeffects it also improves the transmission line capacities and will giveinfluence to conductor performances. This research aimed to knowthe influence of the wind speed to performance conductorcharacteristics such as temperature, tension, length, sag andcurrent carrying capacity of conductor. As simulation model, anextra high voltage transmission line 500kV Paiton – Kediri span no10 is used. Temperature of Conductor is calculated based on hotbalanceequation, whereas Catenary method and Rulling spanmethod used to determine sag conductor and length. The result ofcalculation shows, that the wind speed can be used to coolconductor with the range from 1 - 3 degree of celcius each for everyincrease of wind speed for 0,5 m / s. While conductor mechanicalcharacteristics such as tension, length, and sag does not having anysignificant changes.Keyword : Mechanical performance, Transmission line, Conductor.

Abstract

Indonesia menyimpan potensi energi terbarukan yakni geotermal berupa sumber air panas. Salah satu daerah yang berpotensi dalam pemanfaatan air panas untuk dijadikan pembangkit listrik berada di Blawan Bondowoso. Dalam penelitian ini, TEC dialih fungsikan sebagai pembangkit listrik tenaga panas / TEG (thermoelectric generator) yang menggunakan efek Seebeck. Digunakan 9 buah TEC berdimensi 4x4cm yang dirangkai secara seri, dengan bahan berupa Bi2Te3 (Bismuth telluride) sebagai alat bantu pengambilan data. Sumber air panas di Blawan memiliki temperatur pada kisaran 45-49,5 °C. Pengambilan data potensi dilakukan selama 3 hari yakni 21-23 Agustus 2015. Pukul 9:00–15:00 WIB, dengan pencatatan keluaran data potensi setiap selang 30 menit. Tercatat VTEG tertinggi dimiliki hari ke-2 sebesar 4,506 V pada pukul 9:00 WIB dan VTEG terendah dimiliki hari ke-1 sebesar 2,001 V pada pukul 13:30 WIB. Variasi besar arus tercatat pada angka 0,04 A dan 0,03 A, namun rata-rata stabil pada 0,03A. Daya tertinggi yang dicapai pada ketiga hari sebesar 0,48 Watt, dan daya terendah dicapai pada hari pertama sebesar 0,07962 Watt.

Abstract

Abstract At Banaran Transformer Substation 60 MVA 150/20 kV, the problem that often occurs is a short circuit fault. Short circuit fault sometimes causes the 20 kV Gumul Feeder to go out, so that the incoming safety of the 60 MVA transformer is also affected. This is because the coordination of the relay between the 20 kV Gumul feeder OCR and the 60 MVA incoming transformer OCR is less selective in isolating the disturbance which causes the relays not to overlap (not overlap). Therefore, to improve the performance of OCR coordination, it is necessary to set optimal OCR using the PSO method. The results of this study indicate the value of the OCR setting on the feeder side using PSO produces a TMS of 0.1197 s with a relay operating time of 0.2471 s faster than the conventional results obtained by a TMS of 0.1453 s with a relay operating time of 0.300 s. So that the results of the PSO resulted in an increasing CTI of 0.3529 s, while the results from the conventional method obtained a CTI of 0.300 s. Based on these results it can be concluded that the coordination of the relay between the 20 kV Gumul Feeder OCR and the 60 MVA incoming transformer OCR can work quite selectively by isolating the disturbance appropriately. Abstract

Electrical energy is a very important requirement for human life. The supply of electrical energy itself consists of electricity generation, power transmission and distribution. In the distribution of electricity, there are several networks that function to distribute electrical energy to customers, the majority of which are network configuration, namely radial and loop. In order to maintain the continuity of the distribution of electrical energy, a good level of reliability is required. In order to determine the reliability of the distribution system, the reliability index is determined, namely SAIFI, SAIDI and CAIDI. Several methods that can be used to find a distribution system reliability index include the RIA (Reliability Index Assessment) method, which is an approach used to predict disturbances in a distribution system based on the system topology and data regarding component reliability. In this study, we compared two configurations using one feeder, namely the Giri feeder which is assumed to have a radial configuration and a loop configuration. By using the RIA (Reliability Index Assessment) method on a Giri feeder with a radial configuration, the SAIFI reliability index is obtained at 1.595 times / year, SAIDI is 12.8092 hours / year, CAIDI is 8.0309 hours / year, while for a feeder with a loop configuration the SAIFI value is equal to 1,651 times / year, SAIDI is 1,7276 hours / year, CAIDI is 1,0416 hours / year.
