Abstract

There are various ways to detect osteoporosis disease (bone loss). One of them is by observing the osteoporosisimage through rontgen picture or X-ray. Then, it is analyzed manually by Rheumatology experts. Article present the creationof a system which could detect osteoporosis disease on human, by implementing the Rheumatology principles. The main areasidentified were between wrist and hand fingers. The working system in this software included 3 important processing, whichwere process of basic image processing, pixel reduction process, pixel reduction, and artificial neural networks. Initially, thecolor of digital X-ray image (30 x 30 pixels) was converted from RGB to grayscale. Then, it was threshold and its gray levelvalue was taken. These values then were normalized to an interval [0.1, 0.9], then reduced using a PCA (Principal ComponentAnalysis) method. The results were used as input on the process of Backpropagation artificial neural networks to detect thedisease analysis of X-ray being inputted. It can be concluded that from the testing result, with a learning rate of 0.7 andmomentum of 0.4, this system had a success rate of 73 to 100 percent for the non-learning data testing, and 100 percent forlearning data.Keywords: osteoporosis, image processing, PCA, artificial neural networks

Abstract

Healthy teeth for everyone is very influential on the structure of its teeth. Abnormalities in the shape of the teeth can only be definitely diagnosed by a dentist through the examination and analysis of x-ray panoramic photos, which will determine how large abnormalities in dental and medical measures that need to be done. How to diagnose is then applied by the researchers in this study, by building a knowledge-based artificial intelligence system that is back propagation neural network. Processes on the system developed consists of a color conversion process on the x-ray image into greyscale, noise removal x-ray, image enhancement, image segmentation teeth, the process of training and testing the neural network. From the amount of image data dental panoramic x-ray is used, namely 20 and 10 training data test data as well as parameter input unit 15, 7 hidden units, 1 unit of output, learning rate 0.01, epoch 1000, the momentum of 0.95. Accuracy obtained through cross-validation test by 80% for data of normal tooth, 86.67% for dental data is not normal, and 100% for a normal tooth and the tooth is not normal on non cross validation test. Therefore we can conclude this study was quite successful in developing a system to diagnose abnormalities of the teeth, because it has a fairly high representation accuracy in providing analysis, as well as the analysis of a dentist.

Abstract

Background: Suture is a most used technique to heal perineal wound after delivery baby. Midwives often offer baste and disconnected suture for the healing process. Aims: This study aimed to determine the duration of perineum wounds healing between the two suture techniques, baste and disconnected suture. Methods: The study employed a quasi-experimental methods with a longitudinal approach. A total of 24 postpartum mothers who suffered perineum wounds degree II, no smoking, 20-35 years old, no obese, no DM, and no infections, was taken using random sampling. Seven validated parameters in assessing the perineum wound healing process were asked by the researchers during the observation including the status of the stiche, openess, festering, swollen, redness in the skin around the stiches, pain, and smell. The data was then analyzed by independent T-test. Results: The results showed that the average length of the perineum wound healing in a private midwife clinic BPM Umu Hani by baste suturing technique was 7.42 days, and it was significantly shorter (p value = 0.003) than the healing by interrupted suturing technique (9.33 days). Conclusion: Disconnected suturing technique can be a preference for perineal wound healing after delivery baby. However, the midwifery should pay attention to the needs of the postpartum mothers before propose the technique.

Abstract

Background: Educational success can be evaluated or viewed from students’ academic achievement. Academic achievement is influenced by several factors, such as intelligence and emotional intelligence. Intelligence only contributes roughly 20% of the success, while emotional intelligence may influence the other 80%. Emotional intelligence comprised of 5 indicators including self-awareness, self-control, self-motivation, empathy, and social skill.Low emotional intelligence leads to undesirable student academic achievement. Aims: This study aimed to determine the relation between emotional intelligence and academic achievement among DIII Midwifery Programme’s student at third grade in College of Health Science Medika Cikarang 2014. Methods: This research is a quantitative analytical research with cross sectional approach. A total of 83 students from DIII Midwifery Programme at third grade were selected randomly and be involved as participants. A questionnaire covered students’ Grade Point Average (GPA) and their emotional intelligence scale was employed. The data was then analysed by statistical Chi-Square test. Results: The result of the study indicates that there is a significant relation between emotional intelligence and academic achievement. Students who have high emotional intelligence tend to obtain higher academic achievement then students who have low emotional intelligence. Conclusion: The findings of the study is carrying an expectation to an improvement in academic programme planning, materials or other activities to be designed as the consideration to emotional intelligence development in order to optimize academic achievement’s students.

Abstract

Inventarisasi serangga serangga pada perkebunan gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) dilaksanakan di Desa Toman Kecamatan Babat Toman Kabupaten MusiBanyuasin pada bulan Desember 2009. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untukmenginventarisasi serangga serangga pada tanaman gambir. Metode yang digunakanadalah observasi langsung selama 1 minggu menggunakan insecting net, light trapsdan fit fall traps.Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan 6 ordo, 11 familia, 11 genus dan 11spesies.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Persediaan dan Penjualan Barang dirancang agar pimpinan perusahaan mudah melihat laporan persediaan dan penjualan barang setiap saat dan untuk mempermudah customer melihat spesifikasi barang tanpa dibatasi waktu. Sistem manualnya dirasakan tidak lagi memadai untuk penanganan beban kerja, khususnya kegiatan rutin dalam bidang pengadaan, dan pengawasan stok. Keadaan demikian menuntut penggunaan sistem informasi berbasis teknologi komputer, sehingga diharapkan bisa diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja. Untuk itu maka dibuat suatu sistem informasi persediaan dan penjualan barang yang mana memungkinkan customer untuk melakukan proses pencarian dan pemesanan barang yang dilakukan melalui komputer (web). Pemesanan barang dimaksudkan untuk mempercepat proses penjualan dan pengawasan stok.

Abstract

Koperasi Kampar Mitra Mandiri merupakan usaha yang bergerak dibidang simpan pinjam, dimana saat ini proses pencacatan masih menggunakan Microsoft office excel sehingga data-datanya belom bisa menyimpan secara database, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat sistem informasi simpan pinjam, dengan manfaat yaitu agar memudahkan dalam proses pengolahan data nasabah. Untuk mengetahui kebutuhan sistem akan di aplikasikan maka penulis mengadakan wawancara atau tanya jawab langsung dengan manager koperasi. Setelah melakukan wawancara penulis melihat Sistem Informasi simpan pinjam belum menggunakan sistem informasi berbasis database, Penulis termotivasi untuk membuat sebuah Sistem Informasi simpan pinjam. Sedangkan pemodelan sistemnya menggunakan metode Unifield Modeling Language (UML) Dan dalam pembuatan programnya menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan Mysql sebagai basis datanya. Dengan adanya sistem informasi simpan pinjam dikoperasi, dapat membantu dalam mengolah data nasabah, data simpan, pinjam serta pembayaran pinjaman.

Abstract

Caturindo Primatec Sejati merupakan sebuah toko yang bergerak dalam bidang usaha penjualan – pembelian spare part heavy equipment (suku cadang alat berat). Dimana setiap harinya diperlukan pencatatan data-data transaksi yang terjadi di toko. Adapun sistem yang dipakai dalam aktifitas setiap hari masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan manual, baik dalam pengolahan data penjualan, pembelian, pengontrolan stok dan penyajian laporan. Sehingga sering terjadi duplikasi data stok barang dan keterlambatan dalam penyajian laporan ke pimpinan secara akurat.Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dirancang sebuah sistem yang terkomputerisasi menggunakan bahasa pemrograman berbasis visual basic yang dimana nantinya bermanfaat bagi penulis dan caturindo dalam menjalankan usahanya.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalahApakah ada pengaruh positif layanan informasi cara  meningkatkan semangat belajar  terhadap peningkatan intensitas belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menjelaskan intensitas belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti layanan informasi cara meningkatkan semangat belajar dan menjelaskan pengaruh positif layanan informasi cara meningkatkan semangat belajar terhadap peningkatan intensitas belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah angket intensitas belajar. Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa intensitas belajar sebelum mengikuti layanan informasi cara meningkatkan semangat belajaryaitu: 50% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar tinggi, 43,3% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar rendah, dan 6,7% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar sangat rendah. Sedangkan sesudah mengikuti layanan informasi cara meningkatkan semangat belajar, maka terjadi peningkatan intensitas belajar siswa yaitu: 23,3% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar sangat tinggi, 70% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar tinggi, dan 6,7% siswa memiliki intensitas belajar rendah. Hasil analisis inferensial. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh positif pemberian layanan informasi cara meningkatkan semangat belajar terhadap peningkatan intensitas belajar siswa.
